Not too much going on here yet today. I started majorly dry heaving this morning over my daughter's poopy diaper. I had to call for my husband to come take over so I could go stand over the toiler for awhile. Sigh.
Poopy diapers are a major trigger. I avoid them like the plague, but now that my mom went home I'm stuck if DS poops before DH gets home.
I slept like shit last night. I also had a weird dream that my husband wanted us to go to Peru for a couple months and it turned into a huge argument. Weird. Today is my 3rd day of work and I think I might tell my boss I'm pregnant since I feel like shit today. I was going to wait until I was done with training but this isn't exactly my dream job, and it's only minimum wage, so I guess I don't give a fuck how she takes the news.
Good vibes to those with appts! Praying for good news.
I'm kind of worried about something.. I work at a manufacturing plant in the office building, but they also need me to go to the plant to pick up paperwork throughout the day. I just noticed this morning a sign on the door of one of the rooms I go into that said "x ray in use"... Um that's not good is it?? I haven't told them I'm pregnant yet, but I don't think I'm supposed to be around that right? Really hope it hasn't already affected my baby..

How often are you in that area? How much time do you spend there? I suspect if you haven't seen an xray machine, there's no way you've gotten close enough to be impacted. I had a few foot surgeries last year and the tech who did my xrays was pregnant, and she just stood off to the side to press the button. I have to think the radiation area is very small.
@wendyld I just go in and out to pick up papers, but they just informed me they will start training me back there half the day to do certs for collecting data which has to be done back there. I'm not sure where the machine is, but there are a couple testing machines in that room, just don't know which one is performing x-rays.

Ideally, no one should be exposed to X-rays unless there is a medical reason for it. While X-rays are used in that room, they have to be shielded from anyone who might be exposed. We have some analytical instruments in my lab that use X-ray and just had them tested for safety a few months ago. The X-rays were undetectable just a few inches away from the instrument. So likely you are fine, but if you're concerned I would ask about it.
Thanks ladies. I'll ask about the x-ray exposure. Nobody in there wears any sort of suit over their clothes that would indicate there's a danger, so maybe it's minimal, but I'll still bring it up.

There's no way they are exposing people all day every day to xrays. They couldn't (xrays, like all ionizing radiation, have a cumulative effect)
I might need to step away from TB for a bit before I cut a bitch.
Where should we be looking?
The panorama thread.
I just can't help that I'm healthy. I want unnecessary medical tests now! Why do high-risk women get all the fun?? Boo fucking hoo
Seriously. Are you fucking kidding me? I just can't. Next she'll be complaining that the high riskers get way more ultrasounds and she just can't help the fact that she's low risk!

Oh fuck that. I wish it were offered to everyone and I'd love to do it, but you're not fucking jealous of people who are at a high risk losing their baby. You're just not.
We told me dad the weekend before last about the baby. My dad isn't very emotional and I know he never wanted kids himself or really cared for babies in general, so I didn't expect him to be excited or anything about our news. We made him a future grandpa t-shirt & gave it to him when we told him. All he said was "no....really??" Yes....really. Nothing else about the pregnancy was mentioned during the visit. Even though I knew he wouldn't be excited, I was still a little bummed since this will be the first grandchild.
I went to visit my dad yesterday and he gave me a blanket he picked out for the baby! I was so shocked & happy I had to hold back my tears.

All of our rooms in the radiology department at the hospital have one of those signs but X-Ray is only actively in use sometimes. I work in interventional radiology and had to wear a special badge last time I was pregnant to make sure I didn't get exposed to too much radiation and I never got anywhere close. You should be ok but it never hurts to double check!
I also have an appt on Thursday, it's the first one with my OB, then we are going camping after for the weekend.
Guise, I know it's totally normal for symptoms to come and go, but I'm freaking out over here. I feel fine most of the time, sure I'm tired sometimes, and I can def feel the round ligament pain, but no nausea or anything and I think that's weird especially since I'm carrying twins. I'm hoping and praying everything is ok in there!
Honestly, you're past the 10 week mark and for me (both pregnancies) I was pretty much done with nausea by then. Some women experience nausea their whole pregnancies, or well into 2nd tri, but some women only experience it for a few weeks. Last time it was the worst weeks 7-10. This time I had it pretty bad right from testing until about 8-9 weeks and then had it from time to time for another week or so and now don't have it at all.
Symptoms vary from person to person and day to day. Try not to worry!
Thanks for all the well wishes!! Meet Baby M, measuring right on track with a strong heartbeat of 162! The little guy/girl was dancing for us and wiggling all around, and I fell in love! My H said it hit him that he is gonna be a dad. I'm so relieved and I feel like a brick wall has been lifted.
I was at a bachelorette at the beach all weekend... I was OK for the first two days, really didn't have any nausea and then Saturday I was so sick and tired, I had to skip the beach and lay around. Missed you guys

Whoever says you guys aren't supportive is crazy!
Ever notice how it is always the wk and ones who complain about "bullying" who start cussing and name calling. I just don't understand people sometimes.
Good luck to everyone with appointments today! I have my 12 week apt. tomorrow and I'll be 12w3d. I'm really hoping my Dr. tries to find the hb. If I remember correctly from last time, she said she doesn't usually try until 14 weeks to avoid potential stress if she doesn't find it. Totally understandable but my pgal brain needs something!
In other news, I'm feeling much more like myself these past few days! Played in a baseball tournament this weekend, enjoyed a cup of coffee for the first time in weeks and even had a relatively painless poo today!
@nannabee21 Congrats on a great u/s! What a beautiful pic!
Guise, I graduated from my RE today! Our u/s went great, baby was measuring right on track with a HR of 164 bpm. We could see the little arms and legs moving around. It was amazing. I start weaning off my injects next week and can.not.wait. Now I need to find an OB. I'm not going to stay with my current practice because I don't like the hospital they deliver at.
Thanks for all the well wishes. My appointment was amazing. They decided to do another ultrasound. It actually looks like a baby now with a nice strong heartbeat.
Good luck to everyone else with appointments today.
Man, one weekend off of the Bump and I miss EVERYTHING! Another Friday appointment here -- for our NT scan. But first, a phone interview today and an in-person interview Wednesday for a job I think I may be really interested in. I was ambivalent when I applied, but it's looking more and more interesting to me now that they are interested in me.
Re: To infinity and beyond!!!
Good luck to everyone else with appointments today/this week also!
