@rhapsody11 I'm not sure what it's called, but my doctor wrote me a prescription for more bloodwork in about 4 weeks. He said it's to test for neural tube defects such as spina bifida. I had this with my other pregnancy as well, I believe it's standard.

Had mine today and got a perfect score and couldn't be more excited now!! Finally feels real and safe and I can't wait to be a mommy. Love him/her to pieces already
Just got back from my 12 week/NT scan appointment. Everything turned out wonderfully! It was the first time we'd heard the heartbeat and had the chance to see this baby! I'm measuring exactly as I thought ! 12w1d. NT measurements were 0.92 with a heart rate of 159. The baby was sleeping like a rock - the tech made me roll over onto my left side and then the baby finally moved around. Pic attached!
Not sure if I should worry. The tech that did the scan wouldn't tell me what the measurement was. Only said they're sending the stuff out today and I'd get the result from the doctor next week. And she printed me a shit picture that was a bit fuzzy, there were other screen capture that were better... not a happy PikoPiko yesterday.
On better note, I heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time, it was 167. I spied on the tech's monitor and saw it measured 13wk 1 day, a whole week before my LMP!
The baby wasn't very cooperative at first, it was asleep and wasn't really moving even when I changed positions a few times. After a little while she told me to go pee and try again. The baby started bouncing, its motion looked like someone brakes hard in a car.
Couldn't figure out why my picture doesn't show up...
My NT scan was yesterday. NT measurement was good - 1.5ish. Fibroids have been stable so far. I had blood drawn for the MaterniT21 test since I'm an old lady. Baby 3.0 was rolling around and swinging at an invisible enemy.
It's weird to see only one in there. I'm used to my babies having company.
I had mine this morning. What a roller coaster it was. It was my third ultrasound, so I was floored when they told me there was a second baby that had stopped developing at 6 weeks. My earlier two scans were at 6 weeks and 8.5, neither picked up on the twin. I had never heard of Vanishing Twin Syndrome or even fathomed that we might have multiples- there are none anywhere in our families. It was a lot to take in and I'm very sad about it. I know logically that everything will be ok, I just can't help but be sad that this baby didn't make it. On the positive side, the surviving twin is perfect and developing right on track. They were almost positive it's a girl, and my risk factors went way down based on the scan. We will know the gender for sure when the Harmony results come back in two weeks. I'm so happy and relieved and upset all at once. ETA: NT measurement was 1.0 and heartbeat 165
My NT scan was last week and went well! Measurements all in the normal range, and like others have said, baby didn't want to cooperate. It was moving around in there, just not at the angle the tech needed. I had to do some flopping around on the table to get it to move the way she needed. We did see arms waving and legs kicking, heart beating, etc. I wish I had written down what the heartbeat was and some of the other stats, but I was too emotional to think of it.
I had my NT scan Thursday. It was the first time we got to see and hear the baby. It was the most amazing day ever. The tech said things looked good but baby was being very uncooperative. However, We got summer bummer news yesterday. After the doctor reviewed the pictures I got a call saying I have placenta previa. I'm on pelvic rest until my 20 week ultrasound. No more sex, running or lifting. I'm definitely worried but hopeful it will correct it self.
I forgot to update. I had mine this past Wednesday. Everything looked great. NT was 1.0 and the baby was cooperating. Saw little arms and legs moving all around. My sonographer at the doctors office isn't the best. She's great at getting all the pictures she needs etc. but is lacking in the personality etc area. She never tells us what we are looking at or any extra information. I have to ask 3 and 4 times to know the heart rate. :-/ Heart rate was 157
Had mine on Thursday. Everything looked good. Measurement was 1.4, there was a prominent nasal bone and baby was measuring the right length for 11wk 4d. Heart beat was 149. Also they had my blood results for california screening which measures proteins and hormones in blood for trisomy21,13,18. All came back negative, but this test only detects 75% of cases so I went ahead and ordered cell free harmony test also which is over 99% to be sure.
I have mine on Friday. Does anyone know what blood test they'll give me? The nurse said it'll be something with five boxes on it (whatever that means). Are the harmony and panorama totally different tests or is that what they'll be giving?

They are totally different tests. The blood test with the five boxes goes along with the nuchal ultrasound. If you can go and do the blood early (5 days before), then you can get the results of your nuchal test that day too.
Mine is this afternoon! I have been counting down - I can't wait to see this little guy again. (I've been calling him a boy, just my gut feeling, but last night I had a dream it's a girl...we're doing Panorama today, so I guess we'll know in a couple of weeks!) I'll update later.
I'm not sure how to feel about my results... Of the quad 1 came back slightly abnormal. They said not to worry. Then she went on to say they noticed I have an over active thyroid...I don't even know what that means, but I know it's bad. I was so prepared for anything to be wrong with the baby. But this..I don't know what I should do. My husband is out of town and when he comes home next week I'm gonna be a huge mess of emotions.
Had ours yesterday and seeing our sweet baby move around was THE BEST THING EVER. 1mm nuchal fold, which the tech said means nothing without the blood work. Now impatiently awaiting Panorama results.
@sugahcookie01 I had my NT this morning and they did blood work too (not harmony or any of those other tests people mention, just standard to check for Trisonomy).
My NT scan went great today! The measurement was 1.6mm, which they said was great, and I'm already lower risk because I'm 26. I was very anxious due to two prior (early) losses, but we saw the baby wiggling around and the HB was 161! I feel like I can finally get excited and enjoy everything! The genetic counselor said the bloodwork would be back Friday or Monday at the latest- so glad it's not a long wait!
Best of luck to everyone with their upcoming appointments
Our NT/First Tri screening was last week, and baby was just bouncing around and swinging arms above his/her head!! It was so so exciting!! This morning finally got the call and was told everything came back normal!! YAY!! The Dr had said they would call if anything came back abnormal, so as soon as I saw that number my heart dropped and then I heard the good news!! I think I stopped breathing for atleast 30 seconds! Thank you god for all the prayers, and I wish all of you nothing but the best!! FTM = nervous!!
I have mine in THREE HOURS! I am freaking out and a total nervous wreck. Did anyone else feel like this? My mind automatically assumes they're going to find something wrong. It's awful. Hopefully there will be good news! If the u/s looks good, we are telling extended family tonight so FX!

@ameikle if you are having the standard first-tri screening, they will be testing your hormone levels (hcg and papp-a). Not sure about the others!

And yes - I just learned this yesterday! Harmony and panorama are totally different tests than n/t and the first-tri blood screen.
@sugahcookie01 I did bloodwork at 10 weeks that's associated with the NT scan, and will have another set at 15-ish weeks for the final portion. But it seems like our testing is a lot different here.
Do y'all know if the results of the n/t ultrasound are given right away? I know it can take a while for the blood test but it seems like people get the u/s results immediately. Please tell me this is true!

After some prodding our tech told me what the NT measurement was, but said it didn't mean anything without the bloodwork.
@beagee413 u find out neck measure ment and they see if there is a nasal bone..dr said everything looked great based on US but they still do 2 sets of bloodwork. I hope a good US means everything is ok. ..now Im worried
@amack22 don't be worried! At least everything looks good on the u/s. I think blood work is done to tell you more about your chances (1/1000 for example) of having anomalies than anything. Low hormones can be indicative of issues but they will hopefully/probably be less of an issue since the u/s looked good. Anyone else have experience with this?
We had our NT u/s on Monday and got the results from the blood test today......
Baby measured perfectly on in the u/s and a NT measurement of 1.3 mm. After the u/s and the blood test came back I have less that a 1:10,000 chance for down syndrome or Trisonomy 18. I'm 32 so this lessens my chances a lot since they are about 1:550 for my age.
It was great getting to see the little Pepper wiggle around in there
Had mine today went great have a very wiggly little baby kicking up a storm. The baby is measure bigger at 12 weeks 6 days instead or 12/1. But that's not bad she said everything look good and well normal to me. My 2.5 year old was there and she got excited and said "the baby is stuck" lol she is so cute. I even got a video to take home to since dh didn't get to go.
I am squeezing in with a due date of 2/28 so our NT Scan is scheduled for this Friday at 9:30... Eek! I was told that we will have the sequential screening would include and ultrasound for measurements (neck and spinal fluid?) and blood work to check proteins. This blood work will be compared to my 16 week blood work to further confirm any "chromosomal abnormalities." As of today I am low risk due to my age (24) and we have no family history of chromosomal abnormalities.
We've had two ultra sounds: one at 6w6d and a follow up at 7w6d. There was a small bleed near the gestational sac on the first ultrasound so the second ultrasound was to check the bleed which had decreased in size by half so OBGYN did not seem concerned. I had a pap at 9w but nothing since them so I am SO anxious!!!
I hope everyone's upcoming appointments go well and I am do happy for everyone that has had/posted positive news. It's so nice to read about everyone's experiences!
We had our n/t yesterday - it was life-changing to see that little nugget dancing around (apparently he or she is as squeamish of doctors as their mama!). The n/t was 1.5mm and babe measured 13w1d instead of 12w3d. Not enough to change the guess date but certainly nice to see good growth! I'll get my blood-test results by the end of this week, but so far no cause for concern.
