Earlier DH and I were watching some music videos. I decided to put on our song. After it was done I turned to him and he had a tear running down his cheek.

Poor kiddos. My kid sttn, thankfully. I hope his teeth pop through, because I hated seeing him just wail. And we need these teeth to pop through in the next two days, because starting Thursday, we can give Motrin for three weeks, and Tylenol doesn't touch pain for him.
The baby actually slept so of course the kid who is always out like a light has been awake. My lungs are clicky - bad asthma say ahead? And I have a charlie horrse threatening agony that I can't get to go away. Eeks!
I also hope baby sleeping does NOT = sick. I wanted to try and get her in for photos before she gets new teeth. And we have to get to the pool while we can
Have a happy Tues all.
@lancomechica - as I opened I thought, "is it lancomechicaa's span thread" looking forward to your title.
I hope all the sick babies and mama's feel better.
I just received my 3rd anniversary badge. That just makes DD seem even older for some reason. I can't believe my beautiful, loving, smart, sassy girl is going to be 4 in a few months.
@sparkymcgeee sorry for the sick babies and allergies, that's terrible. One thing to be up all night but to be doing it while not feeling okay yourself is south worse. (
@fabk sorry your sleep was bad, the rain actually woke me up last night (before Adrian did. Twice)...boo rainy days.
Whelp I survived our solo trip to Vancouver. 5hr flight there and back. Just me and the kiddo. No extra plane seat (would cost $950). The trip there was terrible, all he wanted to do was crawl maniacally up and down the aisles, no napping, so 2hrs past nap time we had an epic nuclear meltdown. He was THAT baby. I ended up with him in the carrier hiding in the back galley doing squats trying not to cry.
I ended up getting him to nurse in the carrier and finally got him to pass out. What an ordeal. Flight home was better but not easy.
My advice, always get the extra seat if you don't have an extra set of hands.
We live at an intersection of two large streets. I guess it's the law in MA that emergency vehicles (ambulance, fire truck, etc) have to honk/sound the alarm before they enter an intersection?
We'd gotten used to the seemingly endless variation of uiuiuiui-tutututu-füüüüü-dröööööö there is and sleep through most of them.
Last night they came up with a new one.
Holy hell we were ALL sitting upright in our beds when that beauty came by.
Let's hope that was the Boston version of hyper-mega-emergency and will not be happening anytime soon again.
I had insomnia again last night. My eat hurts so f'ing bad I couldn't sleep. I should try to get in for an appointment this morning but don't want to add to our mind of medical bills. Ugh! Might just suffer through.
I'm trying to like almond butter since it's supposed to be so much better for you but it just tastes icky to me. I had some on toast for breakfast abd hated every bite.
DD1 had a sleepover at a friend's house last night and I'm sure she had a blast! She's growing up so fast!
@sparkymcgeee I can relate to those poor kiddos with ear infections. This stuff hurts yo!
@econmama maybe I'm out of the loop but what happened with your nanny?
@rondosa sorry your flight was so awful! You deserve a badge of honor abd all the wine!
Finally fell back asleep - about 20 min before LO woke up. Had LO almost back to bed and DD came in. I can't keep my eyes open. Sneaking some sort of morning nap just became priority over - well everything else I hoped for today. I've had it with these allergies - don't have time to be exhausted and stuffy with 3 kids.
Hoping all our sick mamas and babies feel better! >:D< And speaking of sleeping through the night... how do our mamas who are still co sleeping or room sharing do it?? LO and I had a "slumber party" over my parents house last night and I slept in the guest room which has the crib in it and I legit cannot sleep in the same room as my baby. Every time he moves or makes any little noise, I'm up immediately. And I was very aware every time I rolled of being as quiet as possible so I didn't wake him. Now I'm exhausted. I-)
I've been a bad bumpie lately. Lots on my mind. My 3 year old broke his arm again. The other one this time. I hope this doesn't become an annual event. He jumped off the playground structure at daycare. They think I'm a chill mom because I didn't freak out, and I didn't even ask any questions. I don't need to, I know my kid. I'm 99.9% sure they did nothing wrong, and I don't want them to tell kids they can't climb on stuff.
DD is having a combination surgery next month to remove a cyst in her eye and put in ear tubes. I'm chill on that front too. After watching my oldest go through brain surgery as a toddler, I'm cool with minor outpatient surgery.
What is consuming my thoughts mostly is a potential move to Huntsville Alabama. Any J13ers in Huntsville? Moving 2 careers, 3 kids under 6, and selling a house that needs a lot of work (3 kids under 6 and 2 working parents will lead to household neglect) sounds like a big PITA.

@casey78 funny you say that! My Hailey had those same drops abd I used them last night out of desperation. I don't have any instructions though, do I just let them sit for five minutes or so then let it drain out? I'll keep using them!
Good luck with that title, @lancomechica. Last time I had one, it took me 3 weeks to use.
@kaylakim, when I had an ear infection this spring, the doc prescribed the same exact ciprodex drops as ENT gave Leah after her tubes -- 4 drops twice a day for a few days.
Thanks. I have had this one for months but never used it...today was the day for it but I didn't get the chance. I will post it at 12pm EST
@mittensonkittens sorry about your son's arm. Good for you for staying chill, I'm very laid back about most things too. Good luck with the potential move!
@etoille I love Meryl but will Meryl and Michael seem weird with the other names you have chosen because they are very similar (start/end with same letters). Lillian and William are so different from Michael.

We have a 1BR, so no choice. I guess you just get used to it? Or we have an exceptionally quiet sleeper.
We've been sleeping on the couch in the living room the past few days, though (grant writing to the wee hours of the morning) and I must say, I sleep SO SO SO much better.
I think the toddler room is wearing Leah out. She was falling asleep during dinner last night. She woke up a bit earlier, ate, and conked back out this morning. She was snoring while I changed her diaper, dressed her, put on her shoes, and did her hair. She sort of woke up when I handed her off to dh to take to daycare.
V is now in infant 2...which is young toddlers 12-18 mos and I think it is wearing him out. He is not walking yet and the teacher is trying to get him to stand and walk with assistance a lot. I think this is really annoying him and he won't even try standing when we get home from school...he wants to be held and babied when he gets home and that is wearing us out big time.
I wish he slept more like your Leah...but nope. Sleep is for the birds.
I am like a million years behind on expense reports and will be attempting to complete at least 4 today...I may be ambitious and go for 5-6 but I think 4 is very reasonable.
Haddy slept until 8 this morning, whoa! He also slept until 9 on Sunday but I forgot to tell you all, whoa! Keep in mind that the sleep did not go uninterrupted. We still don't really STTN in this house.
It poured down raining all night and all morning and it looks like it's going to continue most of today. I need to go grocery shopping and to meet with our accountants and errands in the rain with LO suck!
@kaylakim I hope your ear feels better and @sparkymcgeee I hope your LO's start to feel better soon!
@etoille I love Meryl but will Meryl and Michael seem weird with the other names you have chosen because they are very similar (start/end with same letters). Lillian and William are so different from Michael.
Lillian = my grandmothers name; William = my grandfathers name (also Brian's uncle's name but name is for my grandfather).
Michael = Brian's father's name.
That's kind of where everything comes from.
The 'third' boy's name if we have 3 is Xavier Henry. (Henry= Brian's MN).
You know what's weird? Ithink I only care if the names stand on their own I don't think it bothers me that as a whole they don't go together. Is that normal? I mean I know people plan them as a unit but is it normal to just go eh in re having a flow of all of the names together?
I am not saying that Lillian, William and Michael don't go together...it's just that Meryl and Michael sound like you planned them to be twins or something and then Lillian or William is the odd woman or man out.
I didn't think I would care if our names seemed to go together but I don't think I could have a Vincent and then a Kieran...they are so vastly different...although both on our original list. That is why I have moved to if we have another boy next time...Augustus is at the top of the list because it just goes better with Vincent.
Who knows? I am rambling.
But I love the name Meryl and would go with it if your gut told you #3 was a Meryl.
@mittensonkittens sorry about your sons arm! I would've been the mom freaking out so I think it's awesome that you remained calm. Good luck with LO's surgery and the move
Yesterday I was going to schedule pictures for today but decided to do pool instead. Woke up to 60 degrees and rain. boo! what to do. Working on plan B. I miss legit rain days spent at my leisure

I am literally so tired that he only wakes me up if he is crying or kicks me in the face. I think I just got used to it. DH on the other hand.....after 6 years together he still wakes me up 828971287017 times a night - snoring, farting, screaming in his sleep. Liam is nothing compared to him!
@lancomechica did you say you found your cleaning lady through care.com? I didn't know you could do that? I need a new lady because I feel like mine is only surface cleaning and I no likey.
My super awesome boss had 5 buckets of week old (can't sell) flowers and she let me take them. I handed out 4 bunches yesterday before I picked up E. I made 14 bouquets last night to give away to friends today.
I am off today so E and I are going to drop off flowers at friends houses because I can. It's been rainy and gloomy here the last 4 days so a little bit of flowers makes people happy.

I have one coming this week...I will let you know how it goes but we had a lot of applicants on care.com for our position! They keep coming and I may try 2-3 and then choose one for long term.
@missymr that's exactly us! LO goes to bed awake but drowsy but we have to avoid his room entirely when he's still up otherwise he'll think it's playtime. So last night I was terrified LO would wake up and see me there and think playtime at 3am!
More teeth are coming in at the B home! Urgh! Already on coffee cup number two.
Had a long conversation about money yesterday with DH. We are back on the strict sticking to our budget bandwagon. I know we can stick to it but dang it sucks!!!
Re: Spamma mia
I have slept horribly again tonight. Its going to be a long rainy day at this point. I-)
