@WasNotWas I do not think he tried to hit him. I think it is a tragic accident. I think that drivers need to stay in their cars (at all levels of racing). Those dirt tracks are dark. And not flat like the concrete or asphalt tracks. Needless to say, I wish it did not happen.
When I first watched the video I was screaming "get back in your damn car!!"
Did we discuss the Outlander series premier? Didn't a bunch of you ladies read the book? I liked it but I didn't read the books, and now I'm debating starting the book series or just sticking with what I see on tv. Thoughts?
Start a new thread! I recorded it and am probably going to watch it sometime this week
Someone else start an Outlander thread!! I'd love to but the notifications would drive me nuts and I'm not sure I'm invested in the series quite yet!!! Any takers??
Sunday night confession: the only reason I'm on the fence about reading the series is because O broke my iPad screen and I don't want to buy and read a book that big! Lazy and weak!!
@mcbush that pic is beyond adorable!! I love your brothers shirt also, I've got it in black
@riansmommie L has a onesie that says "Future Chiver" and one of Bill Murray's face.
Love it!! I've debated getting Jameson merchandise from the Chive. The next shirt I want is a cat Saturday shirt lol. I think it would be awesome to do family pics in matching Bill Murray shirts.
Ok so why I want to kick DH in the nads: Yesterday I took both boys to the neighbor's to swim. DH worked in the yard for FIVE AND A HALF HOURS. At 3:30 I reminded him that hello, there was other shit that needed to get done like food shopping and he got pissed at me for being like "move it along and wrap up." Then today I asked him to fill our pool because Aiden was having a friend over and when Aiden wanted to go out and help set it up, DH said no. No because "how am I supposed to do that and keep an eye on him?" Are you serious? You're attaching it to an air compressor and then sticking the hose in it. So we got into it about how he has like zero coping skills when it comes to doing anything AND parenting at the same time. He seriously can't even take a shit if he's home without me because to him, parenting and everything else are two buckets that happen independent of each other.
Re: Tony Stewart. I refuse to watch the video, I don't want to see someone die. That being said I am a huge racing fan and I hate it when these things happen. I won't judge because I haven't seen the video but I have a hard time believing Tony would deliberately hit a person. A car yes a person no. As for thinking he would race I think he changed his mind when the shock wore off.
I'm not encouraging you to watch it but he was real close to the guy in front of him who swerved to miss the guy and swerved in the opposite direction (like if there was a tire in the road you would to avoid the object and the other car in case the other car stopped short).
Seriously - the other day he was home with Q who was sick and I get this text: I have to shit
I'm like aaaand? I manage to make dinner, do laundry, eat, shit. Hell, today I managed a shower! That's why yesterday pissed me off because he can't do anything with them but thinks nothing of doing yard work almost all damn day leaving me with them to do, you know, everything that I need to do.
My H is the same way. I was traveling for work last week and I came home to lots of laundry to do, messes to clean, grocercies tobuy etc and H had to have time today to get things done he couldn't do while I was gone....simple things that he couldve easily multi-tasked. Oh men...definitely not multi-taskers
@mcbush you know how it goes - they're good guys and you don't want to make it out to be like they're a total asshole He just needs to get a damn grip. I truly think he doesn't process how much I manage to do when he's not here. Mind you, he doesn't get home until 7:10 every night so I get the boys, make dinner, serve dinner, start baths and usually manage to start a load of laundry at some point too.
Here's a little interesting tidbit I learned today. You know Aiden's mega tall friend? (I showed you their picture a couple weeks back). He's four, remember. We wear the same size shoes. :-O
Alex will have Grayson all day Wednesday while I work. I'm not even going to ask him to do anything while I'm gone because I know he "won't be able to get it done and watch Grayson"
Another "yard work" widow here. DH puts on his headphones and has to "weed" child free for like 6 hours every weekend. I have pointed out to him a million times that I somehow get all of the household duties I'm responsible for done while watching our kids too and everyone is still alive. I have also told him to just give up on the flipping crab grass but it seems like his hobby now.
