So since I went to the doc on wed. I was diagnosed with a yeast infection. But my culture came back as bacterial. Then that afternoon I had a little brownish discharge. So I called my doc and she said due to the miscarriages I have had to just not take anything right now. So this morning at my first morning pee I had a toilet paper full of brownish discharge. I freaked. We went to the ER and they did an ultra sound. Baby checked out great! Ultrasound is showing me at 10 weeks and there is a heartbeat! So the ER doc but me on the met gel same stuff I was on a month ago for BV(which I have again and not a yeast infection). Just curious if anyone on here had BV come BV come back this soon?
Re: Scary Morning
SITDB: Toilet paper full of red blood and toilet paper that has brown discharge are two different things. Having had a loss myself seeing anything resembling blood is scary but I have to agree your doctor sounds a bit....dumb. Why on earth would she not treat an infection?! And why wouldn't you have called the doctor before going?
Regardless, I'm happy baby is okay!
It sounds like you also had an exam. Did they not warn you about spotting after? I have a hard one believing they did not. They took cultures for crying out loud.
I think you were told to wait on a ultrasound and then ran to the ER to get one when doc said no.
You need to read a pregnancy book and get a new doctor
Trust me, it isn't worth letting them get to you. Just ignore them. Wish I would have because they are sooooo not worth it!
I am so sorry you have had to deal with losses and now the spotting. I am praying for you that all goes well with your pregnancy!
And your story changed. First it was a bit of brown discharge, then some red discharge on the TP. Then it became blood. Then it was a lot of blood. Why wouldn't you have called your doctor before running to the er. I get the fear, every time I had a spot of blood or pain or anything my first thought was "run to the er!" But then I snapped back into reality and either chilled or called my doctor, who never once sent me to the er. That's for when you're soaking more than a pad per hour and/or you have severe pain.
I suggest picking up a Doppler and learn how to use it correctly. $50 to calm your fear is much better than thousands in medical bills and increased premiums.
You know it's crazy but you could've actually put all 4 of these thoughts into one post.
