I see a few True Blood fans. Who else has read all of the books?
::Raises hand:: I think the books went on too long and I know many people hated the ending. Without giving anything away, I felt it ended how it should have, it was the right ending for Sookie.
I loved the show the first season but the second season bored me to tears and it started going off the rails after that.
I wanted to put Trueblood but...the books were good (haven't finished the last one as it got a bunch of bad reviews and I don't want to end on a sour note) and the show! The show is crazypants. I'm waiting for the final season to hit Amazon and I'll finish but... just ridiculous shenanigans abound.
I've read all the books! Way better than the show. But I still love the show for the crazy, awful, nothing-like-the-books madness that it brings.
And the last book was... fine. I couldn't stand not knowing how things ended when I already invested so much in the series.
I agree. The HEA ending seemed like lazy writing. I was team Eric for a long time and disappointed with the way she wrote him in the final books.
The show is insane. I'll admit, I'm glad it's the final season. The last three seasons have been a bit too crazy for my liking.
Side note RiverSongWannabe, great screen name.

Books: Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Divergent (to the point that I absolutely loved the books and couldn't put them down, but would never dress up for a movie premiere)
Shows: NEW GIRL!, Criminal Minds, Dawson's Creek (who wasn't in love with Pacey??)
Mine are rather...well...geeky, but I think I'm in good company here.
Firefly/Serenity - Browncoats unite!
Marvel and DC (comics AND the movies) - Deadpool is my homeboy, and Hulk is just...*drooooooooool*. Wonder Woman is my girl.
Game of Thrones
Dexter
Just getting into Orphan Black
Masters of Sex
Star Wars - Mandalorian Mercs ROCK
Star Trek: TNG and the new movies
We're getting heavy into cosplay, our favorite genres are Star Wars and steampunk anything - however this year for Halloween we're doing Villains of DC.
I've seriously found a new love in Robopocalypse and Robogenesis

Omg I love Deadpool too! Have you seen the test trailer yet for the movie?
Whedonverse pretty much. I liked BSG and Farscape and other shows to watch, but fandom wise really only do crazy things for Joss.

Ok if we are going who things I quote incessantly, I have to cop to being a huge musical theatre nerd. As folks found out when my Into the Woods reference went over like a lead balloon. I was actually big in the Wicked fandom (the musical, not the book) when it came out. I can name basically every actor, alternate, original cast, original touring cast.....

Omg YES! I just about squealed out loud! Ryan Reynolds was MADE for that part. Now that he's not going to be Green Lantern any more, he had better be Deadpool (since this last X-Men movie erased that whole horrid that-is-NOT-Deadpool debacle). Eeeeep!
Love me some paranormal romance. My favorite authors: Tina folsom, lara adrian, kresley cole, Sherilyn kenyon, Darynda jones. My favorite show is vamp diaries and scandal (totally opposite types haha)
I think I'm a really boring person. The only show I obsess over is Criminal Minds. That's it. I could do without Disney movies (except for the excellent gifs they provide), I don't watch Grey's, Scrubs, House, HIMYM...nothing.

Have you read the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire (another fanstastic book by her I just finished was Indexing)? Or Jaye Wells, H.P. Mallory? I read too much... Love Kenyon's books!
Where to start? Firefly Doctor Who Supernatural Bones Criminal Minds NCIS Disney Harry Potter Hunger Games Divergent The Warriors Series (Books by Erin Hunter) And as I mentioned in the book club, I'm reading GoT, and in book 2

I'm lame. But at least Criminal Minds has this:
And this:
Aaaaaand this:
Shemar Moore mmmmmmm
I'm a Harry Potter geek. I actually have three sets of the books: the "trunk" boxed set, a set that I allow my students to borrow, and a British English set. I just started reading the series again today, actually (this will be number 8?). I haven't been to WWoHP, but realllllly hoping to get there soon.
I can also quote Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Life of Brian. "Help, help, I'm being repressed!"
Harry Potter, Twilight (books), Marvel, Firefly, GoT, Scandal, Homeland, Pixar, Orange is the New Black... I, too, am a teeny bopper at heart. Worked at a teen mag for like 10 years, so it's part of my DNA now.
I noticed a handful of GOT fans as well as a couple Star Trek enthusiasts. Has anyone else heard that Alexander Siddig (Bashir, DS9) is going to be playing Doran Martell in the next season of GOT?? I'M SO EXCITED. I mean, Doran Martell is borderline crippled with gout so he may not be as charming as Julian Bashir... but hell I'm still on board.
Let me add here that I am a HUGE theater/musical geek. I have The Producers, Avenue Q, and Wicked memorized. The Addams Family is next.
Tomorrow I'm going to audition for the Wicked Witch of the West in a Wizard of Oz play our local Arts Guild is holding here. I am SUPER excited and nervous about it!
Harry Potter So You Think You Can Dance (I appreciate those who move so beautifully and more gracefully than my uncoordinated self) Big Bang Theory College Football - can't wait for Saturday Game Days to start back up! The Voice - bromance between Blake and Adam, yum!
I am a big fan of Disney, Buffy, Angel, Vampire Diaries, and of course Criminal Minds (I have loved him since he was Malcolm on the Young and the Restless).

heh the first song, no lie my kid recognized was One Day More. I live and breathe that musical. Pretty sure he recognized it from me singing it in the car too/from work while he was in utero. And in the shower too. Wicked and Phantom I have pretty well memorized as well (though Phantom has like 10 variations now on the popular songs it seems. then again so does Les Mis). I've seen Les Mis...god at least 10 times now? Maybe more? At least 3-4 times in Chicago, 3 times in London, a few times out here in DC....when I was in college in MI....
Good luck on your audition!
I didn't even think to include theater! I love musicals. Wicked is one of my faves as well, it was the first show I took DH to. Ben Vereen played the wizard. I'm from NYC, and when I was in HS you could use a student ID and get a matinee ticket for $15! My BFFs and I would go whenever we could.
I'm huge on Harry Potter. When SO and I met we started watching Once Upon a Time, and now we can't miss an episode. It was a good excuse for him at first. "Well you have to come over tonight, because OUAT is on!"
Harry Potter, GoT (will start reading the books soon), Hunger Games, Divergent, Friends, HIMYM, Project Runway, I'm hooked on Pretty Little Liars- although I don't know if I can handle two or three or however many more season they have announced now (so many twists!), anything marching band or Drum Corps International (total band nerd and music ed major), Breakfast Club, Princess Bride, Disney, musicals and OF COURSE the Beatles!!!
