  • I answered an email from an intern today that seriously took less than 2 minutes to write.

My corporate counterpart (who is a total moron, and a passive aggressive child) was CC'd because the intern didn't know any better, and i wanted her to know that his question had been answered.

She responded to my email by asking me why I was working, and warned me that I needed to know how to draw boundaries.

Because I'm 5, and can't handle my business, obviously. Fuck off - it's not a project, it was a ten second email to a poor kid who needed some guidance that she's too incompetent to give.

  • DH and I tried to have sex tonight since I was cleared by my OB, and holy hell did it hurt! I had to have him stop because it was so bad. Not what I was expecting since I had a c/s! I'm hoping this fixes itself soon :/

  • Yesterday I had the Mirena placed and a biopsy of my thyroid.  This morning I feel like I was kicked by a horse in the throat and pelvis.  Is it too early to have a glass of wine?  :(( I know, if I have to ask then the answer is yes lol.  Coffee will do for now I suppose.

My search queries are pretty bizarre. I'm sure they'd taint my legacy.

  • Surrounding items and I were pooped up on and projectile vomited on twice in a 15 minute time span. However, there was enough time to change outfits in between. Here goes another load of laundry.

  •  Does anyone use grocery delivery? I'm thinking of doing Peapod delivery from Stop and Shop for when DH is traveling and I don't want to take both kids to the store. I'm just wondering how much of a tip to give the delivery driver.

I normally give $5 tip to the driver. And I normally order the $100 worth of groceries so that the delivery fee is less. I don't think 20% applies in this case, but I could be wrong.

The drivers always seem grateful for it, so I never thought twice...

Thanks! I was thinking $5-10 would be sufficient. 20% seems like it would be too much on an order of $100+.

I'll never use grocery delivery after watching the movie an eye for an eye with Sally Field. Scarred for life

I haven't seen the movie, but I am pretty cautious with the grocery delivery guy.  I have him drop the groceries on the front porch and then I move them into the house after he leaves.  I blame it on the fact that I have dogs, but really, I'm a big sissy who doesn't want a stranger danger man in my house when I'm home alone.

  • One of the million emails I somehow now get because I have a child said this today:

    • Researchers have found that, all over the world, the amount of hours babies spend crying peaks at 6 weeks. Hang in there!

    This is not encouraging news.

  • @ksspiff This one is a Mom365 email, which is the company that did her hospital pics. It's so-so each week, but that line obviously stuck out to me!

  • Any white noise app recommendations? We're going to buy a sound machine at some point, but I'd love an easy app now.

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.

We use the free White Noise app for DS.  All it says on my phone is "white noise" and has a pink icon with white lines on it.  It seems to work for him now that DD is using the white noise machine.  It'd be better if we actually hooked it up to a speaker so it could be louder, but he doesn't seem to need that.  If I were using it for DD, I'd want it louder.

  • My local Walmart has a pick-up service. I can order everything online and they put everything together and all I have to do is pull up into a designated parking space at a pre-arranged time and they load it up. Not quite as convenient as delivery, but it mitigates the stranger-danger aspect and tips.
I'll have to see if any of the grocery stores have this because that would be convenient.

I've gotten used to being able to run semi-quick errands with DS1 in tow that I forgot how much planning goes into toting an infant around with me.
  • I've been enjoying wonderful mini vacations from my baby crying by locking myself in the bathroom with the fan on for 3 minutes after placing her safely in her crib. For three glorious minutes, I don't hear her scream!
  • There's been a shit ton of responses since I last posted -_- Also I'm going to need bumpies to learn the difference between edition and addition. Some of you are giving me a horrible eye twitch.
I actually went back and searched for this post because I agree and felt the need to quote it.  Bad grammar drives me nutso.
  • There is a booger in LOs nose... Do I leave it there or can I try to suction it out?? Her nose is so tiny!

DD has an umbilical hernia that popped out over the last week and it makes me sad to see the big bump on her little tummy. :( I'm hoping it goes away on it's own. My nephew has a HUGE one that he's had for the last year and a half and will have to have surgery for when he is older than 2. I'm terrified that hers is going to get bigger and then she will have it for a long time and we will be looking at surgery, too. :/
