This FFFC is really odd for me: I've never been a super-jealous 'that girl is out to steal my may-un' type of woman, but this woman that works with H gives me strange vibes. She's nice enough, but she tells H all about her marriage and the problems they're having and when he's off work she manufactures reasons to call or text him. The only thing they are on together is the squad booster club, so it's not like there are booster club emergencies that couldn't wait until he was back in the office or go through someone else. I do feel like I'm being weird and paranoid, but H has lots of women friends and works with lots of women and none of them give me this feeling. I feel like she shares lots of inappropriate personal info. I haven't said anything to H, and I'm in no way suspicious of him, but it seems like sharing info about how you and your spouse fight about money and you walked out isn't something that should come into the office. I dunno, I'm probably being odd to think it's weird.
This showed up in my newsfeed :I'm so annoyed with some females lol .. Some of y'all dress half naked on the street , but yet don't want to be addressed. Then when y'all get holla at ,the dude get ignored or cussed out lmaoo .. I don't get it . U want attention , but when u get it , u shut it down . And some wonder why these dudes don't have ANY respect for some females . Well cas some don't have respect for themselves ! You give it , u will get it . Whatever u dish out , you serve .
I guess my FFFC: I wanted to delete her based on the grammar and spelling alone. However, the underlying message is what pushed me to press that delete button. She can't understand why a woman should be able to wear what she wants without dealing with unwanted attention.
Ugh. This reminds me how angry I am at the "I-don't-need-feminism-because..." movement. Has everyone seen this? (If not, conduct a Google image search for "I don't need feminism because.") Apparently someone somewhere found a way to convince girls and young women that "anti-feminism" is the real feminism and is akin to a bunch of slut-shaming. Most of it looks like the stuff on @MellowMoneyMonkey's newsfeed. It makes me fearful for my possible future daughter(s).
eta: parentheticals
How about we just try to teach young ladies to respect them selves and make good choices. For instance, not dressing like a whore and using proper grammar. I feel like there needs to be a class to instill this in our little ladies. Ex. Intelligence is sexy 101. That way if any douchey fellow wants to say something to try to knock her down then she will have a witty comment to make him STFU. Said Lady will also know that she should wait to find someone who can equal match her intellect and she doesn't need to dress like a skank to attract dudes.

How about not calling women whores or skank @solucky32214?
I agree that there needs to be more grammar and literature help. I do believe that intelligence is attractive. I don't think that a woman's clothes should define her enough to be labeled a whore or a skank.
@MellowMoneyMonkey IMHO I feel like you have respect for yourself you don't have to show off your goods. Sorry if my description of scantly clad woman offended you.
It's not my business, so I won't say anything to her, but I'm frustrated with my coworker. She's a diabetic. We were talking about soda earlier this week because she noticed I don't raid the office fridge. She told me she drinks 1-2 six-packs a day. She knows it's not good for her, her doctor has told her to stop, and she won't take any medicines to regulate her diabetes. I'm frustrated because I really like her, and I want her to take care of herself!
HOW?!
Same question...I'm getting a stomach ache just thinking about that.
She chain-drinks, the way some people chain-smoke. So just one can after another.
I'm jealous of anyone that can go more than 12 hours without washing their hair and it still looks normal.
Mine looks like I feel in a pool of oil after only a few hours. And forget conditioner. Dry shampoo is a daily necessity if I actually have to do things and look presentable.
This is me. I carry dry shampoo in my purse and use it multiple times a day.
Your head is probably responding to your constant attempts to keep it under control.
Have you ever tried going a weekend (or whenever you might have a stretch of 2-3 days)? Many people have to train their hair in order to go long. I used to be daily too, but I backed off a bit and unless it's a sweaty disgusting mess, I can go 3-4 days now without issue.
I have. Recently even. It doesn't help. I've got really straight, fine, oily hair. So does pretty much everyone on my mothers side of the family.

So if I just feel like wearing an awesome dress that also makes me have crazy awesome cleavage I have no respect for myself? Fuck off.

@solucky32214 I think that If a woman decides to show her body it has nothing to do with her being a whore(prostitute) or a skank (an unpleasant person).
Your word choice was what I found offensive.
I will ask you the same thing I ask the other poster: Is it okay if a woman is scantily clad to be sexually harassed? Groped? Sexually assaulted?
We need to stop equating self respect with clothes coverage because there are plenty of women who dress conservatively that have little to no self respect.

Because some people think victim shaming is totally okay.

@MellowMoneyMonkey Oh my goodness NOT what I meant... I mean young woman who have all their business hanging out. If you are a grown woman and you want to show some skin I have no problem with that.
It is absolutely Never Ok for a woman to be touched in a inappropriate manner no matter what she is wearing.
My word choice was a bit off base for you and I apologized.
What I do take issue with is when young girls wear cloths that show off too much and think it is "sexy." I suppose that is where I was going with the discussion. I know I said "woman" and I should have said young woman... As in pre-teen and teen.
Edit: If it is excessive. I can see your nipples, ass cheeks or vagina then ya I think it shouldn't be out in public... Even on grown women.

Well she said "the equivalent of" so some of it comes from a fountain when she eats out. But she does liken it to an addiction.
@MellowMoneyMonkey In no way would I ever "blame" a woman for being sexually assaulted. I do think girls should be taught to stand up for themselves. I see how my word choice plays into your argument. You're right in that way.
Edit: I never said wearing low cut cloths should be an automatic invite to touch someone inappropriately.
My fffc goes along with the mason jar thing, I keep all glass condiment jars. I know I can use them for some sort of project, I just haven't done it yet. DH opened a cupboard the other day and saw how full it was and told me I'm a jar hoarder. I just can't throw them out!
Yup I can see that! I do not in anyway think that any woman should be assaulted due to the way she dresses. I do not blame victims. I am so sorry that this convo took a turn down this path. I know you are basically all strangers to me and this is a public forum. I was trying to agree but my word choice was not supportive. I take responsibility for that and apologize. I can see how it was offensive.

I wasn't standing up for myself when I was inappropriately touched at nine?
FFFC: I get disappointed when I feel like I'm being really funny and hardly anyone lovetits my posts.
I hate it when this happens. I tend to go back to comments that I think are really funny and then there's like one love it on there and it's lame. I am clearly not that funny.

I'm angry at my BFF for being in her crappy situation. She knew her husband was emotionally and physically abusive, a compulsive liar, a womanizer, and financially irresponsible to a criminal degree before she married him. Her whole life is crumbling around her, and I don't see a way out for her and her children, and I'm more angry than sympathetic. Trying not to let her know I'm angry, but I am.
Related to one of the dramz...another FFFC (I've apparently got a lot today) is that I knew almost nothing about TTC before I came here. I actually thought you could get KU anytime you had sex (and yes, as a grown ass woman, I am embarrassed to admit that). I know there was a thread a few weeks back about weird shit we used to think but the amount of stuff I've learned about cycles and my hot bod has been soooooooo enlightening.
Same here. I always heard "you only need to have sex once to get ku". I honestly had sex once without bc and totally knew I was ku. Yeah, that obviously didn't happen.
When I would see ads for OPKs and they said they would tell you your two or four most fertile days I thought they were spread out throughout your cycle. Like you would ovulate more than once. I think it's ridiculous how little we are taught about our bodies. If I ever have a daughter she will know it all.
Damn, now I wish I had waited to post on here instead of on WTO. Oh, well, just gonna do it again anyway!
My FFFC is that I have never had (or even been seen by) an OB/GYN and I have no idea how to get one. Gotten some good suggestions on WTO, but my biggest hiccups with asking friends/family/neighbors are that my insurance is a networked-type deal (Kaiser Permanente), I'm not comfortable discussing TTC with people I'm likely to interact with much, and most of my neighbors are 2x+ my age. Ugh, medical things are hard.
Please note that due to the actions of TheBump and their parent company, XO Corporation, I no longer feel safe or comfortable posting regularly on this forum for my pregnancy journey.

I have done absolutely zero hours of productive work today. I've spread my time between here and Pinterest. But now I don't know what to put on my timesheet.
On the plus side. I keep randomly laughing out loud at your ladies posts. Feminism, slut shaming, dry shampoo and mason jars all in one place? I love a one stop shop.

Don't know what to put on your time sheet? 8 hours, obviously.
I wish. We have to break it down by project to bill. Well at least it's not like last week where I accidentally only worked 37 hours of a 40 hour week. My bad.
FFFC: I am terrible with keeping up with vacuuming the house. Like, maybe once a month. When it does get vacuumed, usually DH ends up doing it, because he knows it is my least favorite chore. I try to justify it by telling myself that the carpet is so old anyway, it's not worth the effort.
I love vacuuming and do it once a day. Full disclosure, though, cat litter gets tracked around and drives me nuts.

Or, even better, they should have a search for provider tool on their website (Kaiser).
I've done that! Unfortunately, it's not a process of signing up with an OB directly through that search (I wish, ha), so I'm gonna have to talk to a phone tree call center rep to get in with the OB I liked most, probably.

I like sleep more than showers and my hair really doesn't get greasy. This means I will sometimes go days without showering.
I only wash my hair every three days. Dry shampoo is my friend. Dirty hair styles better and not washing it cuts my getting ready routine to "wash body/face, shave, dry self, clothing, makeup."
I do this as well. I've discovered the joys of dry shampoo and I'm never going back to washing every day. My hair is curly and dries out if it's washed everyday anyway.
I'm a curly girl too and my stylist said to only wash it once a week. She said to condition it as often as I want though. It is amazing how much better my hair is since I started doing that several months ago. Oh, and a messy bun is my favorite style mainly because I can't wear my hair down if I don't wet it down and condition it and some mornings there's just no time for that, or I'm too lazy to do my hair.
True life.... I hardly ever was my hair... Once a week at most... I have long semi curly hair and wear it up down halfway and can always get it to do something nice... I live on the tropical batiste because I love the smell and when I need to be fancier have a sock bun type thing that works wonders..... I have been visiting te US for 18 days and have washed it once
It will take a few weeks to adjust but once you go no-poo (or close to it like me) you will never go back. I always get compliments on the shine an body my hair has without using tonnes of products or heat on it
I'm like thisclose to going and screaming at a coworker. He's bitching that his DIL is holding her newborn all the time and she's being selfish because she's breastfeeding and other people can't feed the baby.
::stabstabstab::
No, that's called being a loving mother. Dumb ass can't appreciate that his grandkid has one? Also, dumb ass can't figure out a way to bond with a kid that doesn't involve food? That's bad child-rearing.
I only wash my hair every three days. Dry shampoo is my friend. Dirty hair styles better and not washing it cuts my getting ready routine to "wash body/face, shave, dry self, clothing, makeup."
See, this I don't get. My hair will only make a decent style when wet. If I try to do anything to it when it's dry, I have the frizzies to high heaven and look ridiculous. I am in camp wash every day.
FFFC: MH and I are going away for the weekend to a 40th birthday party and MH's ex "might" be there. So I did what any rational person would do. I went and got my nails/hair done, bought a kick ass dress, and a new pair of shoes. Oh yeah bitch, he's mine!
