I'm due 10/16 and mine is also Sept 14. I freaked our about it at first but there was really no other time to do it. (my sister is hosting and we work opposite weekends) I don't think there is any set time that the shower should be though.

my MIL and FIL have been completely amazing this week, with one or both of them at my house every day this week helping DH out so I can take less time out of work to tend to him. It's been great. I appreciate them 100%. DH just texted me and asked if I want MIL to take DD's laundry home and wash it tonight to bring it back tomorrow. I told him no, it's not too much, just leave it. What I wanted to say was no, absolutely not, I can't stand the smell of the 85 pounds of fabric softener that your mom puts on everything! I'm so, so grateful for everything they've been doing for us, but I use free & clear detergents for a reason, yo.

He just texted me again as I was typing this and said "but it's a couple of less times that you have to go up and down the stairs." I said I would honestly rather just do it myself. I'm afraid to put the real reason in a text because I don't want her to see it by accident and get offended. FX she doesn't just take it anyway just to be nice.

Vent: I had a horrible morning. Worst panic attack in 5+ years during an EEG test. I almost threw up and/or passed out. The lady was so nice and the test took almost twice as long. I am so emotionally drained and I have class tonight . Boo.
Now I am even more anxious about childbirth class!!!

Lucky! I'm waiting to find out if I passed the 3 hour. When I failed the 1 hour (or, as my MFM put it, "didn't pass") my MFM's NP was calling me, texting me, and e-mailing me. I think she may send an ambulance or a representative from the diabetes center if I fail the 3 hour.

It's not really "supposed" to be any specific time... I'm due 10/23 and my shower is 9/7 because that's what worked out best for both the hosts, and because summer weekends can be so difficult.

ETA: I guess I should also add that I'm fine buying things off my registry that we "need" if I start to freak out that the shower is too close to my EDD.

You mean you won't be SOFUCKINGPISSED if you have to buy your own car seat and stroller because NO ONE bought it for you?!

I made a loaf of banana bread last weekend and some banana nut muffins. Well it is almost ALL gone. I have been snacking on it daily. I made a slightly healthier version but I am sure I should still slow down. I told DH I wanted to make more this weekend - he said "we'll talk about it" - What the hell is there to talk about! Its banana bread!! We have a pretty busy weekend but still... I must find time for bread

I think I have some how gotten lucky here. I registered @ target and BRU - my target registry will not load for me online! I have to make some changes and the target website just does not work for me for some reason - maybe a blessing in disguise that I can't see it! Its hard to stay away....

Haha, am I the only one who actually kind of wants my belly button to pop out? I feel like it will look cuter under my maternity shirts than the weird gaping half-hole that's there now.

Love it!! haha I have been craving Zucchini bread as well! Havn't made it in years, I need to get back in the kitchen! I have not tried a cronut, but heard they are amazing!

My mom keeps reminding me that my grandma doesn't like our name choice. It makes me wonder if our name choice is too bold, but we seriously don't have a back-up plan or even a close contender anymore. :-\

My siblings made fun of DS1's name up until he was born, and I thought about changing it until well after.

Have you said what the name is or is it a secret?

Chloe Grace or Zoie/Zoey Grace (can't agree on spelling) I'm not particularly feeling sold on either of them, but haven't found anything else we both like better.

My mom keeps reminding me that my grandma doesn't like our name choice. It makes me wonder if our name choice is too bold, but we seriously don't have a back-up plan or even a close contender anymore. :-\

My siblings made fun of DS1's name up until he was born, and I thought about changing it until well after.

The only person that knows our name choices are this board (if they remember), my BFF, and my dad and stepmom since they're out of state and wont let slip to anyone.
