I answered an email from an intern today that seriously took less than 2 minutes to write.
My corporate counterpart (who is a total moron, and a passive aggressive child) was CC'd because the intern didn't know any better, and i wanted her to know that his question had been answered.
She responded to my email by asking me why I was working, and warned me that I needed to know how to draw boundaries.
Because I'm 5, and can't handle my business, obviously. Fuck off - it's not a project, it was a ten second email to a poor kid who needed some guidance that she's too incompetent to give.
DH and I tried to have sex tonight since I was cleared by my OB, and holy hell did it hurt! I had to have him stop because it was so bad. Not what I was expecting since I had a c/s! I'm hoping this fixes itself soon
My little rolled over front to back 5 times in a row during tummy time tonight. He's a rockstar (or this could be totally normal behavior but I'm going with rockstar).
Yesterday I had the Mirena placed and a biopsy of my thyroid. This morning I feel like I was kicked by a horse in the throat and pelvis. Is it too early to have a glass of wine? ( I know, if I have to ask then the answer is yes lol. Coffee will do for now I suppose.

Not too early... O_O

Care to elaborate?
My search queries are pretty bizarre. I'm sure they'd taint my legacy.

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.

Oh and I just ordered headbands for DD and a bow tie for DS for an upcoming wedding from that etsy shop. I'm so excited!
Ohhhhhhh baby bow ties are the most adorable things ever! I want to see pictures!!

Surrounding items and I were pooped up on and projectile vomited on twice in a 15 minute time span. However, there was enough time to change outfits in between. Here goes another load of laundry.
Does anyone use grocery delivery? I'm thinking of doing Peapod delivery from Stop and Shop for when DH is traveling and I don't want to take both kids to the store. I'm just wondering how much of a tip to give the delivery driver.

I normally give $5 tip to the driver. And I normally order the $100 worth of groceries so that the delivery fee is less. I don't think 20% applies in this case, but I could be wrong.
The drivers always seem grateful for it, so I never thought twice...
It's official! My little Liliana turned 1 today. OMG, this year flew by. I want to cry with joy on my first born. We made it! Lol!!! I love you poptart.
This was her today when I was putting her down for a nap. She looks really sleepy right?! Ha! She knocked out about 10 min later.

Thanks! I was thinking $5-10 would be sufficient. 20% seems like it would be too much on an order of $100+.

I'll never use grocery delivery after watching the movie an eye for an eye with Sally Field. Scarred for life

I haven't seen the movie, but I am pretty cautious with the grocery delivery guy. I have him drop the groceries on the front porch and then I move them into the house after he leaves. I blame it on the fact that I have dogs, but really, I'm a big sissy who doesn't want a stranger danger man in my house when I'm home alone.

Any white noise app recommendations? We're going to buy a sound machine at some point, but I'd love an easy app now.
We use the free White Noise app for DS. All it says on my phone is "white noise" and has a pink icon with white lines on it. It seems to work for him now that DD is using the white noise machine. It'd be better if we actually hooked it up to a speaker so it could be louder, but he doesn't seem to need that. If I were using it for DD, I'd want it louder.
And I'm back from a few days off. DH got back last night from his business trip. We all survived and I don't know what gods were smiling down on me, but DD slept from her night feeding at 8:30pm to 5am, 5:40am, and 5:30am respectively! Hopefully this trend continues. Our goal is 6am, as that's when we'll need to be up for our routine once I go back to work, but this is close enough for me.
I also went by my office this week to check in with my boss. He left for a hunting trip to Africa shortly after DD was born and I needed to talk to him about when I'm coming back. Because DD was early, the DC can't take her at the 12 week mark I technically need to be back by. He was totally ok with it and I get 2 more weeks at home! Official start date is now Oct 6.
My local Walmart has a pick-up service. I can order everything online and they put everything together and all I have to do is pull up into a designated parking space at a pre-arranged time and they load it up. Not quite as convenient as delivery, but it mitigates the stranger-danger aspect and tips.
I'll have to see if any of the grocery stores have this because that would be convenient.
I've gotten used to being able to run semi-quick errands with DS1 in tow that I forgot how much planning goes into toting an infant around with me.
I've been enjoying wonderful mini vacations from my baby crying by locking myself in the bathroom with the fan on for 3 minutes after placing her safely in her crib. For three glorious minutes, I don't hear her scream!
There's been a shit ton of responses since I last posted -_-
Also I'm going to need bumpies to learn the difference between edition and addition. Some of you are giving me a horrible eye twitch.
I actually went back and searched for this post because I agree and felt the need to quote it. Bad grammar drives me nutso.
There is a booger in LOs nose... Do I leave it there or can I try to suction it out?? Her nose is so tiny!
Suction bc it would drive me crazy until it was gone.
+1

I tried to fill the baby bathtub on the floor in the kitchen when LO woke from his nap. Of course the plug wasn't in. I ran around searching for towels while he screamed. Finally get him in the tub. He has not had a real bath yet. We've sponged him because it is so much easier. But we finally put the infant sling in the tub so I figured I might as well.
Well if he thought not being picked up was bad, ooh man I have never HEARD a person scream so loud. When I was finally done and carried him in and he started to calm down, I found the dog halfway through a poopy diaper. I yelled at her, and she ran in the corner and peed.
Please feel free to laugh at my expense. At least something good will come of this :-P
Oh. My. God.
Thus far infancy hasn't been that terrible to me.
Until just now.

I'm laughing because I've been there.
Once my female dog was destroying an old poopy diaper.
My male dog came up and lifted his leg on it while I tried to clean it up.
Then I puked on top of the pile.
Good times.
In my defense, this was my niece's diaper and I was a teenager.

DD has an umbilical hernia that popped out over the last week and it makes me sad to see the big bump on her little tummy. I'm hoping it goes away on it's own. My nephew has a HUGE one that he's had for the last year and a half and will have to have surgery for when he is older than 2. I'm terrified that hers is going to get bigger and then she will have it for a long time and we will be looking at surgery, too.

Luckily, she (a neighbor) heard Alice screaming while I was giving her a bath and left, but still!

• Researchers have found that, all over the world, the amount of hours babies spend crying peaks at 6 weeks. Hang in there!
This is not encouraging news.
