Hi neighbors! I'm in eastern suffolk ... not out on the forks though. I work in East Setauket and since I make that commute on the regular I went with the Stony Brook Midwives, dont know if any of you ladies went with them. I feel that we have some excellent choices for birthing on the island.
I was born in CT but my family moved here when I was really young and I've lived in the same ~25 mile radius ever since.
@nesenotes- I just moved from the LBC last weekend! We were in the Wrigley area. DH is a Longshoreman. We moved to the South Bay (Lawndale area) to be closer to my job in Santa Monica. It's a good in between place for both my and DH's jobs.
Born, raised and currently live in Southern California.
I've lives all over and Long Beach has been my fave. Well Costa Mesa too. It's central and has a lot of variety.

Maryland....about 30 minutes from DC. Born and raised here. I see a few folks who passed through this area...but only one who is still here ( in Baltimore). Am I otherwise alone in the DMV?? LoL
I lived there for like 3 months in college. Does that count?
I don't know why but I'm a little disappointed no one (including myself) replied... "In West Philadelphia born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days..."
That's all I kept thinking reading these responses. I hope at least some of you get the reference.
I could sing you the whole song right now if you wanted ;;)
Wow, so many people have moved really far from where they grew up!
I grew up in the 1000 Islands region of Ontario, Canada. Came to Ottawa for university eleven years ago, never left. We live in the suburbs now, which is actually way nicer than I thought it would be. Ottawa is in this horrific valley and has some of the most extreme temperature fluctuations in the world, from 115 degrees in the summer to -40 in the winter. If my husband didn't feel like he HAS to be so close to his parents, I would try to convince him to move at least an hour away where it's not so crappy, haha.
@alissendis - I went to college in Ottawa!! Now... here's the real question, did you go to Ottawa U or Carleton?! Lol.. I went to Carleton. I love Ottawa despite the winters... its not too bad when you live on campus and use the tunnels all the time :P

I just moved from Beltsville, MD to Alexandria, VA - I work in Arlington, so that commute from Beltsville was KILLING me! haha
@angleadowns1, where will you be delivering? Any advice?
Evergreen in Kirkland everything seems pretty top of the line and I know several people who have had great experiences there. I went to Swedish my last (lost) pregnancy and was not nearly as impressed.
Married my best friend 7/2/11 - Furbaby born 7/9/11

John Joseph was born on 12/12/14 at 7 lbs. 11 oz. He is the most beautiful rainbow baby we could have wished for!
I just got back from my company's summer family picnic, and I found out that one of my coworkers is due two weeks after me in mid-December. Now I'm giving the side-eye to all you Austin bishes to see if any of you are her.
Born and raised in NE Indiana, just south of Ft. Wayne, and moved to the St. Louis area about 7 years to be with a boy-who is now my husband.
Hey neighbor! Born, raised and live in St. Louis, same with DH. We like our St Louis roots I guess, or the Cardinals and Blues.
I grew up halfway between St. Louis and Memphis, went to school at Mizzou. Cards and Blues FTW!
When I moved to the Bay Area after college, DH (BF at the time) and I used to go to see the Giants and Sharks play when they played the St. Louis teams. Good times. Now we live in Texas and it's just not as much fun.
I live in a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. I've lived here in Arizona my whole life. It's hot as hell during the summer, but fall and spring are amazing. The winters are pretty mild and I can't live in snow. So, it works. I honestly can't imagine living anywhere else, though I certainly enjoy traveling.
Jealous! I'm originally from Scottsdale and would LOVE an opportunity to come back.
@chelseavranich, yep, I'm in Mesa/Gilbert -- only 10 minutes or so from Scottsdale. I hate the heat, but honestly love it here.
BFP #1 5/12/12; EDD 1/20/13; Eliana Grace born 1/25/13
Lived in the North Shore area of MA my entire life. Miss my hometown but content with where we are for now, looking forward to moving in the future to a town with better school system.
@JaymeeLH and @Cryssteen howdy neighbors. I also am not a fan of the area. Anytime you wanna complain I'll be the first to commiserate!
Everyone at work makes fun of me because I literally just moved directly across the county from less than 3 miles to the CT border to a 5 minutes walk to the Hudson. Both teeny podunk towns. And I hate them equally as much. I just want to move up to Dutchess...is that too much to ask?!
Born in PA, lived near Buffalo and Saratoga Springs NY, Lived in Madison WI for 5 years, Columbus Ohio for 10 years, Orlando, FL 18 months, Puget Sound WA (hazy grey and under way half the time), Northeast Ohio, Lawton OK, and now Akron, Ohio.
I have gotten around a little, MW has been less mobile, she moved from a suburb of Akron to where we own our home.
