I finally found something that tasted good! How about you?

I stopped at a bagel place this morning and had a chocolate chip bagel with cream cheese and a chocolate milk.  I swear that's the first thing that's actually tasted good in about a week.

Anyone else have the same luck?  What's striking your dining fancy these days?

Re: I finally found something that tasted good! How about you?

  • I just made homemade hash browns! So yummy. Added fresh onion, peppers, egg, cheese and sausage. I have been craving hash browns since yesterday. After that feast nothing else sounds good. :(
  • Loading the player...
  • I can't do chocolate and most dairy products are making me nauseous. I ate chicken wild rice soup yesterday though and thought I was in heaven. First thing I've enjoyed in 2 weeks besides Cesar salad and/or fresh berries.
  • I've learned just carbs. Everything else I'm gambling on a puke fest. Like last nights beans and hot dogs tasted awesome. But didn't stick around.

  • When I was PG with DD carbs were all i wanted.  I ate like a 5 year old boy for 1st tri.  this go 'round it's been more meats/cheeses and lots of veggies.  Starch has not really been my friend, no matter how good it sounds.  it's very odd.

  • Gosh, um.... Anything and everything?? I'm like a freaking garbage disposal! I gained almost 50 lbs with my first (over half that in my first 20 weeks and I didn't even have a bump yet!), so I know I'm setting myself up for the same thing already. But its almost like if my stomach is not completely full, I'm nauseas. And nobody likes to be nauseas, so I keep eating! Ugh.

  • The only thing i can eat is bananas and rice cakes!
  • Right now it's bagels and cream cheese. Also been snacking on grapes and cheese and crackers. Meat is a no go for me lately.

  • Broccoli cheddar soup from Panera. I'm vegetarian and they use chicken stock so I normally dont eat it but it sounded really good when nothing else did and it's the best thing I've eaten in weeks.

  • Watermelon... I need ALL of the watermelon... which is insane because typically I could maybe stomach one slice of it, and likely wouldn't finish it. I've never been a fan of the stuff. Now, I need to buy a watermelon farm
  • Rice cakes with cookie butter on top. Or just spoonfuls of cookie butter.
  • Unfortunately, the only things that taste good to me are dark chocolate covered pretzels and Cheddar and Sour Cream potato chips. Oh so healthy, lol. I can't even stomach most of my favorite salads and wraps for lunch, so it's been a struggle.

  • @mandi195 and @KT416 with baby #1 I ate mass quantities of watermelon! Not so much this time. I've been dying for a hamburger. I'm a vegetarian. (Well I guess I'm not when I'm pregnant!)
  • All the carbs and junk food. Hopefully this stops soon. I am jealous of you guys craving healthy stuff.

  • I'm still on a biscuits and gravy kick. BK was out when DH went on Sunday morning. I found sausage gravy filled biscuits in the freezer section that are pretty tasty but I'm still wanting the real deal. A trip to Village Inn might be in the cards this weekend.

  • It seems to change daily for me. I ate a caprisi salad for dinner last night and the left overs with my lunch today and I want more. It was so delish!

    IT'S A BOY!!!!!!

  • Recently it's been string cheese, apple sauce and pb&j...none of which are part of my normal diet. When I got weighed at the Dr. on Monday, I'd lost weight and I'm 9 weeks now so I'm trying to eat more, but it's hard when few things sound good! Guess I should give in to that milkshake craving after all??  :-/

    Heck yeah you should!

I've actually found that if something sounds good to me, then I pretty much need to drop everything and get it ASAP because i don't know the next time something will seem tasty again.  I've lost weight too and I don't care to keep that up.  not like i couldn't afford to drop a pound or two before finding out I was PG, but I'd like to just coast for a while on what I've got without constantly dropping pounds either.

  • Carbs have been my friend. I'm usually a healthy eater but here lately all I've wanted is junk food. I haven't had Taco Bell in over a year and today out of nowhere I NEEDED a soft taco. It's so weird!
  • Lately I have been okay all day to eat whatever I please, until I get home from work. Last night I was going to make turkey burgers. I walked in the kitchen, saw the burgers and gagged. DH got us pizza. :x

  • We can eat cookie dough that doesn't have eggs in it

  • Pasta!!! All of the pasta!! With my first I prob had two Boston creme donuts a week. But with this baby I don't even want to look at one. Very curious! Anyone believe in food giving hints over gender? Sweets and lemonade with the first which was a girl. Pasta for the second so
  • Watermelon was also my go-to food with pg#1. With DD it was oranges. This time I'm feeling cheese at the moment. Love cheesy stuff.
I was a cheese junkie before I got pregnant... we're talking DH and I would knock back a 1 lb bag of cheese curds a night, no joke. Now I can't even look at them... and I miss them... my amazing, fresh, squeaky cheese curds (they're only good if they squeak!)

When i was PG with DD i had my first inkling that I was up the duff when I craved a McD's happy meal for days straight.  i hadn't eaten anything from McD's in 7 years at that point.  that was like a week before i even thought to test and then it all made sense.

  • I was told that we crave things based on nutrients our baby or body needs...dunno if there's any truth to it. But this is my secind and I'm so freaking nauseous. Which I never was with my first.
  • This content has been removed.
  • Chocolate milk with ICE and PB&J
  • I have to stay away from anything dairy related but other than that not doing too bad. However the more simple the meal the better. I'm also really into tortilla chips and fruit those are my favorites.

I had heard this too, but I definitely don't believe it anymore. Unless there's some magical nutrient that can only be found in Taco Bell bean burritos, I don't think nutrition has anything to do with my cravings.
  • For some reason... stouffers Lasagna was really good for me...cheese and pasta.. with toasted bread. It was yummy.
  • Right now for some reason it's anything spicy.  I've gotten thai take out for four days in a row.  YUM

I want Korean BBQ. Like now. I want to grill the thin slices of meat and onions and dip them in spicy sauce and salty oil and wrap it all in lettuce and kimchi (oh crap! Can we eat kimchi?) and rice noodle wrappers. Can't stop thinking about it. Meat meat meat.
