Just got back from my appt! Saw a little wiggly baby with a HB of 177. Baby was measuring ahead, so due date got moved up to 2/20. I am on cloud 9 now!
Well that was uneventful and incredibly disappointing. All the doc did was take our medical history, an internal and a pap. No heartbeat, no ultrasound. No paperwork to schedule an ultrasound in 5 weeks! Wtf! Please tell me at 13 weeks I'm not being unreasonable. She said it was too early to hear the heartbeat. What? I'm beyond annoyed at this point and am tempted to call the office and ask for an explanation of their timeline. I know I sound bratty, but after waiting 13 weeks I thought I'd come away from my first appointment with something reassuring.
What information did the dr give for timeline, etc? Did you pass on the NT testing?
Not sure why she would think you couldn't see the heartbeat unless their Doppler is broken!?
Just got home from my appt. They were behind by almost 45 minutes, but always expect delays when it comes to a women's health clinic. Got to see the little sweet pea, and he/she is looking healthy and on track with growth.
Had my second appointment today at 11w3d and our little nugget was moving around so much we could barely get a good look, lol, but the heart rate was strong (don't know how fast- didn't ask). Don't have a pic from today but our nuchal is next Tuesday so we should have one then to share! I'm finally getting excited about this pregnancy .
This is mini humans face. Left blob part is the face where you can definitely see the nose! Right blob is torso? Idk OB was focusing on the facial features lol.
Had my NT scan yesterday and it went perfectly. Ultrasound tech let me see a copy of her report before I left, baby had perfect measurements and everything looked great. Got tons of pictures even though the baby was super active!
Dr said NT scan looked okay. Didnt give me numbers just said okay (which makes me a frickin wreck) They were having a tough time getting measurements because apparently baby likes to dance at the bottom of my ute first thing in the morning. She did say that the odds of having another baby with T18 were less than 1%.
She went ahead an ordered me a harmony test. Now the 2 weeks of waiting hell begins. I was going to go public on Facebook after the NT but now im second guessing myself and freaking the eff out,
And they also picked up a small SCH that was missed at my 7 week ultrasound and probably why i spotted from 6-8 weeks.

Had a very successful first u/s this morning! One baby (whew!) with a heart rate of 172 bpm. Baby was actually measuring 6 days ahead but she kept my due date based on LMP which is Feb 25. So excited to have a healthy baby in there

Just left our NT scan! Measurements looked great, just waiting for the bloodwork part of it to come back now. I feel so relieved! Our dating ultrasound was at 6 weeks so it's amazing to see that our little peanut went from a blob to actually looking like a baby! My husband was shocked to see him move around so much and we loved every second of it
We have an ultrasound tomorrow...just a follow up from 2 weeks ago. My OB does a lot of U/S for those who are high risk or have been high risk in prior pregnancies. I confirmed that my insurance covers, otherwise i would have cancelled. I may or may not have a pap, they put it off last time because i was on Crinone and it could skew results, but I am still on it til Thursday, so not sure what they'll do. Will also schedule our NT scan which is exciting.
UPDATE: U/S went great, baby had little arm and leg buds and was wiggling around everywhere. Hb 178 bpm. Still can't believe we are doing this again! (Surprise BFP). Scheduled our NT Scan for Aug 20th which is in 3wks.
Back from my NT scan and everything looks great!!! Heartbeats were both in the 150's and there was a normal amt of fluid behind the neck. The babies look like little people. Baby B kept putting their lil hand in their face!!! I also had the Harmony test done since I am AMA. Blood was drawn today. Results in 10 or so days! Oh and my MFM took a guess of the sex. ( the u/s tech said he is right most of the time). Baby B is possibly a GIRL!!!! Baby A was not positioned for him to see. Next MFM appt is 16 weeks!! OB is next Tue! U/S pics coming soon. (I am on my phone right now)

She asked if I was positive when my LMP was and that we'll do a dating scan in 4 weeks to be sure. I'll be 17 weeks then which means I'll be able to do the anatomy scan the following week...which doesn't make sense to me. I told them yes...we were actively trying and I was recording my periods. We decline screenings other than the usual blood tests and anatomy scan, so there is/was no NT test.
Super-quick appointment today, but little gal's trucking along in there with a heartbeat of 155. Woot!
I'm reading a book called "Woke Up Lonely" and took it with me. OB says, "You won't be waking up lonely once this baby comes along, that's for sure." Made me chuckle.
Awaiting our bundle of cute chaos.
F15 January Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward to Most after Baby Arrives
I have my first ultrasound...today at four! DH is really excited, he is coming home at lunch today because I think he can't concentrate on his work. I, on the other hand, am a nervous wreck. :-P
12 week n/t scan in about an hour....soo anxious....anyone else worried that you will get there and there wont be a heart beat...im excited and terrified at the same time...heres to hoping everything goes ok!!
Went in for my 10 week appt (I'm actually 10w4d) and got to hear the heartbeat on the Doppler!!!! Such a relief!! So close to the second trimester!!!!!! 3 weeks and counting
Well I've had lots of excitement today. Found out I was 16 weeks instead of 10. Stupid nuvaring threw me off. Also found out it's a boy!
Whoa!! That must be a mind blowing discovery to make!! So you're new due date is in December, or January? Also, congrats on your healthy boy!
January 10th now. I guess this means I have to switch boards.
On the plus size side, just think of all the fruit you get to skip on your ticker...
ETA: Corrected for the wrong word. I think that was a Freudian slip. I was trying to get dressed for my appt today, and my stretchy skirt feels uncomfortably tight around my tummy. :-(

I had my second appointment today (7/30) baby was doing great and we also got our first take home picture of the little bean. I'm so proud of this picture I can't tell you!! Doesn't look like to much now but baby is growing!
So I had a great day today. It started with the blood draw for my Harmony test. The tech exhausted the first vein, so I got matching sticks in the arms.
Then I had my appointment about an hour and a half later. Doctor couldn't find Surprise's heartbeat. Cue panic and tears while the office calls in favors to get me a viability ultrasound today, which happens to be the day before a 4-day weekend. They get me in to the hospital at 3, but tell me to stay by my phone, because they might be able to find something earlier.
They do! I'm in at 2 at the Cancer Center. DH came with because there was no way in hell I was doing that one alone. I stayed at his office from noon-1:30 making sure I didn't cry too much (did that pretty much off and on for half an hour) and I'm an ugly crier, so brave face is not doable once I start.
We get to the viability scan and see a healthy, active baby with a heart rate of 171 bpm and measuring 13 weeks. Apparently, Surprise likes to hang where it's hidden from the doppler.
TL;DR got stuck in both arms, OB couldn't find heartbeat, emergency viability check says all is good.
We had our heart tones appointment on 7/28. I was so nervous that we wouldn't hear anything because I was only just 10 weeks 2 days at that point. But we heard it! So excited!
Had our first appointment on Monday. DH came with me and I was so happy. Got to hear the heartbeat and it sounded beautiful! Bummer note though, have to have blood thinner shots in my belly twice a day because of my history of pulmonary embolism.. I just tell myself that it could be so much worse and eye on the prize! Congrats to everyone and their progress!!
Had my first appointment this morning. Also, my first ultrasound. Baby looks good and is measuring exactly where s/he should be (to the day). The doctor also found a second (empty) sac. So, looks like a vanishing twin. There is a cyst on my right ovary as well but doctor isn't concerned (says it's common and we'll follow-up on it but not to worry). We were holding off on telling anyone prior to this appt. Now that all is well we will probably tell our girls and my parents this weekend but may hold off on telling the rest of the world for a few more weeks (I'm only 10 weeks).
Update: I had my NT scan ultrasound this morning, and everything is happy and healthy! We got to see the baby wiggle around a bit, and s/he was a bit stubborn and only wanted to show us his/her backside. I ended up having to jump around a little to get the little nugget to turn over. I'm sooooooo relieved - it's been 6 weeks since my last appointment, and I was worried because I felt so normal. Yay!
