@tsmith312 - I rarely used a stroller with my first but I had a cheap umbrella stroller for places like meow mix mentioned - the zoo or aquarium. She still didn't really sit in it. I'm at the extreme end though. I know a lot of my friends used strollers all the time at that age.
Thanks ladies. I know we will start TTC next spring/summer. So hopefully when we are blessed with a second LO Harper will be almost 2 or a little older. My dilemma was I DISLIKE strongly the stroller we bought for her. I got it on clearance at target so I didn't pay much for it. I was looking into buying a new one for her, knowing we would use it for the next one. BUT then I thought if I have to buy a double stroller there would be no need in buying a new one now. I just wasn't sure if 2 year olds were into being confined to a stroller.

@tsmith312 maybe if you buy a new stroller, you could babywear your infant until Harper is too big for the stroller. Then you wouldn't need a double stroller. You could also just have an umbrella stroller for outings bc usually if you were going somewhere like the zoo, you would have someone with you so you could each push a stroller on those rare occasions.
Two strollers and baby wearing sound nice and all.. But that's one more thing you have to keep track of- and in a crowed it's not fun
K likes to be worn but only for about 30 minutes. I don't think I could do an outing and only rely on wearing her. That being said we will either end up with a double or two strollers
YEA I LOVE the idea of baby wearing but Harper isn't a fan. She's too nosey to only be facing me and will only stay in for MAYBE 30 mins. Maybe if I start the other LO out early they will like it. I just started with Harper a month ago .

I have an interview this afternoon for a m-f day job no holidays/weekends and I'm very hesitant about taking it if offered. I currently work 3 12hr shifts a week and every 3rd wknd, so I actually only work 12 days a month! I don't like the hours because I want to be home in the evening with my family and my DH has been bothering me since having Ds2 about getting "real hours". I've worked in this position 4years and I'm wore out/tired of it most days but some I really enjoy it. A selfish part of me doesn't want to give up all my weekdays off that I get! When I apply for new jobs I really like the idea of the m-f day shifts but for some reason when it becomes reality of maybe actually working it, I get so hesitant! Ahh why does it have to be such a hard decision for me!!!
Umm, have any of you ever lurked on the dad's to be board? There is a thread about drinking breast milk and it freaked me out! One guy goes on and on about how he has to suck on his wife's nips and someone else thought it would be a good bonding time to tandem nurse with the baby!?
No, just no!
OK I am jumping in. My grandmother just found out about our move and texted me that "she is just sick about the whole thing". How does one respond to this? I realize my family isn't keen on us all moving away again, but do they all have to make me feel like shit over it?
When I have another baby I will likely get a dbl stroller, keep my current stroller, and baby wear. I started wearing E the day after she was born. She will let me wear her as long as I want to and in almost any position I try. We did a lot of skin-to-skin in our wrap when she was born. I absolutely loved it bc we got way more bonding time this way bc I could still do things around the Hs. When we were still at the hospital the nurses would come into our room and would be like where is the baby? They never noticed her all nuzzled up with me in my wrap. They acted like they had never seen anyone wear their newborn.
Yea I really wish I would of worn her from day one. I would have gotten so much more done on mat leave. I think that's why she doesn't really care for it to much now.

Im definitely getting a wrap for next lo. I had an ergo and even had the infant insert but it just didn't go well so I didn't really wear her at all and now she hates it.
Me and Microsoft excel are not getting along today.
I love excel! But am still learning the tricks!!
LO skipped morning and afternoon nap today. I picked him up at 4, home at 430 and he was swaddled and asleep on my chest at 440. Thank you @jtizzay for the idea of bringing back the swaddle. MFTW!!!
I'm trying to do things with data and graphs that I think is impossible lol. Legit spent all day. If I used graph paper and crayons id be done by now lol. Back to the drawing board!
I know this is REALLY random , Moms of 2 year olds. Do you use a stroller for them ?
When we go to the mall or other stores we don't use the stroller but any other times such as walks to the park, the zoo or places like that we do use it
This is why I love having a sensory seeking older daughter. She will try anything for me. I ask her to try Will's vitamins or anything I'm going to feed him and she lets me know just how disgusting they are. She does it willingly and excited too.
FINALLY squared away my BRU registry gift card perk. They never emailed me and I am entitled to $150!! After a few calls to customer service it should be emailed to me tomorrow! Jumperoo here we come!

Nope! Just had to follow up with another phone call.

I had lurked there many, many months ago...and I read the original post as it was happening. (Or maybe a similar one...I'm not going there to look right now).
There were a few strange fetishes revealed at the same time...
OK I am jumping in. My grandmother just found out about our move and texted me that "she is just sick about the whole thing". How does one respond to this? I realize my family isn't keen on us all moving away again, but do they all have to make me feel like shit over it?
I don't remember if you've shared your reason to move with us...but I'd just tell grandma that "I'm grown up now, with a family, and I need to do what's best for us". My family wasn't thrilled when I moved 2 hours away, but I think it made it easier for when I moved across the country. They knew I had to do what was best.
Good luck!
@tsmith312 2u2 here. I use a single or double stroller depending on the situation.
By myself to the park - umbrella stroller and wrap most of the time, but when LO was just a few weeks old I used the double stroller. Although now, DS1 is good about walking with me so I don't always take a stroller.
Long walk to the store (30 minute walk each way) I use the double. * if DH is with me, the comfy single stroller and the wrap - the bottom has more storage for shopping
Mall - umbrella stroller and wrap
Zoo - double, but bring wrap too. Both kids will need a place to rest.
Now, going back to DD as a toddler, she got tired of walking quickly so she either got carried or we used a stroller.
**got my stroller off kijiji for $100 (only months old, used 3 times, regular price $350) It may not get a lot of use now, but I think it will next year. It converts to a sit'n'stand.
My MIL is seriously on my flame list...she wrote me an asshole facebook message (I invited her out to NYC to help me with James because I had to stand in a wedding) and not only that but then posts a passive agressive thing to her FB. I understand it wasn't super fun but she
A) Volunteered and Accepted
Was not a vacation
C) I offered to pay her back the cab fare which she declined (I paid airfare and hotel, getting a room with 2 beds in NYC was murder on my bank account)
D) Seriously the comment back on the single mom thing = X(
E) I apologized PROFUSELY during the trip and tried to keep checking in
F) She didn't bring the milk I told her to bring to the wedding so every time I was full he needed to eat so I couldn't just let her leave early since there was only 9oz at the hotel (all I could pump since I couldn't bring any with)
You judge (picture is of passive agressive post and message) Overreacting or reasonably pissed?
Thank you ladies I sincerely needed the validation.
@torilea I did have some choice words but I phrased them as nicely as possible. (ok, not entirely. I did snidely write back that I'm sorry watching her grandson inconvenienced her and not to worry I wont ask again)
@farmboyswife No, I can't talk to H right now, not even email (haven't heard from him since the 20th *of June*). I want to show it to him, my grandma thinks I shouldn't as its likely to cause problems....hopefully she realizes she was out of line and apologizes because if not I'll likely end up telling him (especially since he's coming home and we were planning to fly out there, sincerely not in the mood for that)
@newmomma8 Thank you.and pretty much yes to everything you said.
SurpriseAt39 in regards to our move: kind of long story. I work from home for my father's business, he recently offered MH a job as well, with the idea that we would be taking over the company in the next 5ish years while he gradually steps back a bit. BUT we have to move back to STL. I lived there before MH so I've lived there before he hasn't. We just moved to DFW like 2 years ago and now have to move again.
So really good opportunity, like REALLY good. But requires a move. Parents have been divorced for a while, but it has become a "obviously your father is manipulating the situation so he can be near his grandchild." Which is both condescending (like we aren't capable of taking over the company) and just annoying. They have been divorced for 30 years, I have worked at the company on and off since he started it almost 20 yrs ago, and have always planned on taking it over. But I am just getting TONS of guilt from my family (ironic since they made all sorts of fun of DHs family for being pissed we moved to TX int he first place).
@benniea Yes DH is military and I was atleast going to hold off until he gets back....Hopefully she'll get off her high horse before then or I'm not flying out for a visit....which sadly means neither will LO since we are still EBF (not witholding, she's welcome to come visit and gets her own hotel room)
@FBW she posted the passive aggressive pic to FB, the text was via messenger. Not happy about the post. I had calmed down and chalked it up to bad handling of the situation but that post seriously ruffled my feathers.
Trying not to get to worked up, it is DH's mom....and I'm a mom....I wouldn't want my son to feel like he was stuck between a rock and a hardplace. I'm seriously hoping she realizes how what she said was unreasonable and at the worst of it hurtful/inappropriate. Thanks again ladies. I feel a little more sane since I know if I was overreacting you would bish slap me into 2nd tri.
It got chilly here the past few days and since baby girls sizing is not what I expected, I didn't have much for her. I pulled out a my 1st Halloween that I got on clearance which was long sleeves. Good news is that it fit. Bad news is that means it's not going to fit for Halloween. At least she got it to wear it I guess?
Linc wore "my 1st Christmas" pjs last night!
K wore an Easter outfit last night we got when all Easter stuff went on clearance 90% off. It was like80 cents!! Bunny butt
I'm sorry @bunnyfungo my companies the same way. I never know coming in whether I have a job or not. If this will be my last day or what. Not to mention I work with a bunch of women so its like you have to be in the " click" if not you may get the boot ! I hope your day gets better !

I've clipped LO by accident twice. The first time she wailed. The second time I don't think she even noticed.
