What are you hungry for?

I want soup and pasta lately - oh and garlic bread.  Of course these are not the best health choices for the entire pregnancy so I'm hoping they change.  My mom told me today that when she was pregnant with me that all she ever wanted was REAL hamburgers, not McDonalds or Wendys hamburgers - so my dad would take her to Golden Carroll all the time to have hamburgers.  With my brother she wanted green beans.  I'm hoping Baby P wants healthier stuff as we continue this journey.  

Any one else having a hunger/craving for certain foods?  What stories do you have from yours or your parent's past pregnancies?

  • Right now, I want turkey barbeque from a specific place in my hometown, so we're going down there this weekend to satiate this food lust.

    When my mom was pregnant with me, she only wanted bean burritos and grape Nehi.

  • Watermelon and chocolate frosty in a waffle cone. Together or separate... I'm not picky
  • Ice cream, cheese and milk.
  • Absolutely nothing. Food, even the thought of food makes me want to vomit.

  • Everything!! Especially chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers. Lol so bad!!!
  • Fruit, shrimp, and occasionally something slightly sweet.. But nothing spicy or super chocolatey!

    My mom craved super spicy foods and ate raw jalepenos! I'm feeling tw complete opposite tho!
  • Pickles (cucumber and okra specifically) and foods dressed with vinegar (subs, salads, meats marinated in it etc.).

  • Very little sounds good... Mexican food which I've always craved is typically a safe bet. But man, I just want orange juice and everytime I drink it, I really regret it!

  • I crave lemon infused foods and I can't get enough of fruit, mostly blueberries! Im loving Lemon Chicken, lemon water, lemon drops, lemon blueberry muffins,you get the picture!

  • Mine have changes every week. I was vegan before I became pg - but this babe must take after my carnivore husband - the cravings are unreal and I have no self control. Two weeks ago it was anything cheesy. Which didn't go down well - first dairy in nearly 5 years. Last week it was McDonalds. This week - toast, bagels and lemonaide. The thought of anything dairy - especially cheese sends me running now.

  • Potatoes! Mashed or baked with sour cream and butter. Oh and watermelon
  • I have finally found something that will actually stay down and that is peanut butter and honey sandwiches on oatmeal bread.  Not my fave, but I'll take it if it stays put!

  • I was craving salty food for a couple of weeks, then sweets this last week. Yesterday and today though nothing really sounds good.

    With DD I craved fruit for the first 2 trimesters. In my last trimester it was Mexican food. Specifically from a fast food chain Taco Villa. Which I hated before I was pregnant. It's DHs favorite though so he was very happy.

    Fruit- all the fruit, and burgers any kind (veggie, California, bacon & blue etc). Poor H, last night I cooked chicken and just couldnt eat it, we ended up at the cafe down the street for burgers. I give him props for putting up with it!

  • My sweet tooth is out of control! Especially baked goodies. Oh and milkshakes. Trying to not give in too much, since those aren't really the best things!
