Hey ladies, I was wondering if you guys have a certain "theme" you are incorporating for all your baby gear, nursery, etc. Are you doing a certain color scheme? Certain animal? Movie themed, like disney?
Randomness is also a great theme

I don't know why, but with my little one I have had a sudden obsession with owls, so alot of things have been owl themed. Though I have had to stop my MIL and mom from buying some owl things because some companies seem to go out of their way to make them look creepy. (Scary owl watches you sleep)

But I had to share since there was a thread about it.
We decided on an earth to space theme.. some of it may seem a little old for our boy now, but its something he can grow into. DH is hoping it will help him to explore things. But we found a ceiling fan with rockets and the earth as the light source. From there we added a few things like a moon wall night light, creamy curtains that kind of resemble clouds, a fluffy green rug that is kind of like grass, along with planets and glow in the dark stars on the ceiling(not above his crib). Then we went to DC and while I was working, DH went to the Air and Space museum. He found an astronaut bear that is just too perfect.
At my baby shower the other day, my MIL brought the quilt she made.. I just have to share. It is truly perfection! She put such thought and creativity into this that DH actually teared up when he saw it! She re-created the Air and Space museum bear on the quilt with lots of planets and stars. Its actually too big to use in the crib, so it will be for his toddler bed later on.
