I love "lovebirds" but we were having a hard time finding baby related items with birds incorporated that we changed to pink/white/grey. Just need to fill the frames and add the changing pad! I would be so happy if I found birds to go on the dresser too!
Nautical theme navy, teal, white and orange accents.
Ugh I really haven't started nursery yet and I'm completely stressed!!! I'm getting an Ash grey crib and dresser and I would love to do a nautical themed nursery with teal grey and navy but I'm having a hard time finding sets I like. Where did you get your bedding???
I was going to do a pink and grey theme for our little girl. However we are in between places to live right now and short on cash since we are buying a house. So I am just reusing the forest theme that I used for DS. I really love it and it is gender neutral. The walls will remain the same beige/tan that they are painted right now. I will paint eventually but I will be 37 weeks when we move and just have a little time to get everything ready. The car seat and stroller are brown/neutral
We started out with a dragon theme but it has morphed into a DIY How to Train Your Dragon... We didn't get any licensed or actual character stuff (except for 2 little dragon toys from our baby shower) we ordered some dragon nursery prints off Etsy, made some viking shields and painted the walls fun colors. Mommy wanted a badass little girl room, Daddy wanted a Princess room, so we compromised! It's amazing. We also have a viking ship decal and a treasure chest toy box that we plan on getting. (We had decided on her name before I ever saw HtTYD believe it or not! ) the dragon prints (4 of them) will be framed and hung above her crib, and the viking ship will go below her shield wall. Just need curtains and a crib ruffle!
Even before we knew the sex, me and my sister were browsing online and fell in love with a robots themed nursery set. And then found out LO was a boy! Robots galore!! From outfits to blankets and decor. I really love it. And we are doing bring reds, blues and greens as accents colors. Got a bright red dresser at Ikea that I love.
We are using like a forest animal theme: bear, fox, owl, bunny, porcupine, etc. It's a Ivy&Lamb theme from babies r us. So cute and gender neutral since we're on "team green"
We just started decorating this week. It took awhile to put up the beadboard, crown moulding and paint. Her theme is gray, pink and gold. I still have a gold mirror and gold frames to go up.
@groxb how did you hang the curtain in the closet? Did you put up a curtain rod or a regular bar? DD and DS closet don't have doors I'm not sure what happened to them, it was like that when we moved in. But I have yet to put anything up, I like your idea.
@ambershaw512 I've actually liked the name for years! We decided on if before I was pregnant and I didn't see the movie until a few months into my pregnancy, my husband had seen the movie though! He liked it from HtTYD and from Skyrim apparently lol

@ambershaw512 - I used a tension rod from Target. Super easy.
August Siggy Challange: Alcohol Porn - Get yer' drank on!
It's still a working progress, but here is what the nursery looks like so far.
I still need to add wall art above the crib and changing table as well as add some shelves above a book case on the opposite side of the room, and buy the mattress/bedding. I'm just glad it's starting to come together finally.
We are doing the owl theme for LO as well, DS picked it out after being in the "owl" class at school and falling in love with them. I found the Skip Hop owls to be creepy so we went with the True Baby collection and let DS pick the paint color. He chose lime green which surprisingly works with the bedding that also has lime in it. My co-workers also got us a mobile at buy buy Baby that has a super cute owl on it so it ties things together pretty well.
