The spam title reminds me of when we got an old computer from my dad's work. I think I was 6 and it was some IBM thing that only had DOS. I was still learning how to write so I just typed the alphabet over and over again. I typed that alphabet out like it was my job. Upper case, lower case, every other letter uppercase.... So many combinations. I was so proud of myself.
I used to have a numbers doc on our super old computer. It was just numbers 1- whatever I gave up at typed out. Talk about lame.

After two rounds of meds and four weeks, B still has an ear infection. Poor kid. We are talking next to an ENT. I hope tubes help, because every time he gets an ear infection, it lasts at least a month, poor guy.
The apple pie is complete! I wasn't able to get the crust quite large enough to crimp the edges but everything is contained. It looks good. Just waiting for the crib transfer to happen and DH to get home with some whip cream and it's PIE time!!
I just did an amazing hurdle over a baby gate that is up to my waist in order to stop Silas from grabbing a beer that I stupidly left within his reach when I walked out of the room.

This reminds me....DH left a beer on the edge of the kitchen table yesterday. G is able to reach pretty far these days and went to grab it. I got there in time to watch beer pour all over my baby. It scared the crap out of him and he was soaked. :-L I changed him but he still smelt hoppy to me before bathtime... 8-}
Conversation earlier today. Me: How does it feel to be married to an old lady soon? DH: how does it feel to be married to a broken fat man? end of conversation
I got the mail and asked DH... Me: How long to you think we are going to be getting birthday cards from the loan people? DH: Oh holy FUCK!!!! your birthday is coming up. Me: do you not remember the conversation from earlier? DH: I thought you we saying that your tits were sagging.
Oh DH.

Does anyone else's baby have an evil cackle? Like he is plotting to take over the world.
YES! It's almost like he's clearing his throat. But it's not quite. And he does it when he's excited, especially about getting something he REALLY wants....like the TV remote (which I don't normally let him have it). But if he does get it, he smiles huge and does this throat clear-y cackle type sound. Hilarious and creepy!
I love Fat Tire, @robynloureed.
@thegoodpotato, I watched The Conjuring earlier thanks to you mentioning your love of all things creepy... Now I'm totally freaked out every time I walk into the nursery to see LO sitting up in the crib waiting for me. WHY CAN'T HE JUST STAY LYING DOWN LIKE I EXPECT FIND HIM?!?!?
I've never seen it. It's way too scary for me! I really want to, but I'm too scared!
I've never had the urge to burn a book, but this one is seriously a contender for "the book the pushed cshum24 over the edge." I think DS and I have read it every night for the last 2 months.
@cshum24 I am ready to burn 'The Three Little Pigs'. She loves that damn book sooooooo much.
Apple pie was a success!! Like I said the crust wasn't pretty but it tasted soooo good. I wanted to eat more but I promised a piece to my dad and stepmom. They come tomorrow around noon. We'll see if there is any left :-?
I thought our up. 2.5 hours screaming overnight was 2nd dairy trial fail. Tonight, I noticed Leah finally cut 2 / 6 teeth she's working on. Coincidence?
Lucas has been asleep for 3.5 hours without stirring.
I am knowingly jinxing this bc it freaks me the UP** out. I have way too much anxiety about all the terrible things that could cause his silence....I'd almost rather have sleepless nights and know he's fine. Even though I'm sure he's fine.
**Up is Lucas's favorite word and it means everything. So DH and I are trying very hard to clean up our potty mouths and replace all profanities with Up.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
Everyone is sleeping but me...still have things to finish before the party tomorrow...wish I liked beer because I am pretty sure I'd be drinking it right now.

I'm here too, @blairwitch - Happy Bday to your little sweetie!! Hope you guys have a great party. I miss all of you guys!!!
I just finished my second to last week of this course with some last minute (of course) submissions and am reading through some threads to unwind.
I had wine tonight, guys. For the first time since May, or April. Way too tense, and way to stressed out for this stuff. DH brought me home a bottle from the store :x Forget the diet plans. Stress eating (and drinking) FTW!
Also, I might have made my baby puke tonight It could have been:
The entire avocado she ate
The handful of fries
1/2 of a burger patty (At Five Guy's - yes, I left for the 2nd time since Sunday!)
The winding road on the way home
The screaming fit she had in the car with DH while I ran into the drug store
The way I was holding her as I carried her in from the car
OR
some combination of all of the above.
It sucked. She looked up at me with the saddest look on her face as she gagged like "oh no mommy! make it stop" and then puked all down the front of my shirt and on herself. ( Mommy fail. (
Time for sleep - I hope everyone gets lots of sleep.
@EagleWife if that is a mommy fail then I am the worst mommy in the world. Hugs, lady. >:D<

No no no @gutsymama please don't think I meant it that way. You are a great mommy! I'm feeling guilty about the screaming fit and carrying her with pressure on her tummy. Big hugs to you, too. >:D<

Doh! I'm sorry. That went right over my head. Thank you!
She was actually fine after throwing up, it was weird. She was distracted by being so close to the kitchen sink faucet and stuck her hand in it. then she wanted DOWN to play with her little people toys.
Fx that the rest of your night is puke free. Also, did you get to see the new Dr. Gut yet? @gutsymama
If she just had an upset tummy from overeating/carsickness, she might have just needed a little vomit to reset and then feel awesome. Glad she took it well!
The new Dr. Gut needs the old Dr. Gut to fax records. I submitted the release form on Tuesday. Called today because it should have been done already and they said they couldn't possibly get to it until Monday. Because they're shortstaffed. Seems they're always fucking shortstaffed. Hoping it doesn't take long bc I really feel like every day is hurting him right now. If they haven't sent them by Monday afternoon I will call back and ream someone. I'm tired of being nice.

Also I have both pillows and he has none, and since he'd rather not talk he's not going to complain. Small victories....

Hey! I just checked my email, and I had a link to a survey about Dr. Gut. So I cracked another beer and filled it out, brutally honestly.
I hope they actually follow up on the "Can we contact you for more feedback" bit. I have quite an earful for them.
If anyone has reason to be interested -- I can't see any reason why this information would be compromising, since we are now going elsewhere. And maybe this will come up in searches and be helpful to future parents --
We were seeing Lynda Brady at Mercy Kids GI in St. Louis. Do not ever, ever, ever go there. They are terrible terrible terrible. One of our primary nurses from the NICU told me another of her former NICU patients went to Dr. Brady, wasn't growing, and was admitted and left in the hospital indefinitely with no plan and no explanation. Saw an ENT, and the condition was quickly managed. I am just aghast at the way she treats her complicated patients and parents. Avoid at all costs.

@gutsymama I hope the new dr gut works with you as a team much better than the old dr gut. You guys have been through so much and you deserve a good dr who listens to you.
