Give me your randoms today!

Mine: I don't like getting up early! If I could have it my way no one would get up before 9 or 10am and would stay up til they fell asleep. I would of said midnight or so, but you know this growning a baby can be so tiring.

Oh! So I remember now. My hairdresser, who is moderately crazy, told me yesterday that she could tell my baby's back and butt are on my right side and the baby's head is down.
Ummm how the hell could she know? Can ANYONE tell from touch/sight? I can't freaking tell and she is in my belly moving all over the place...
So my (probably stupid) question is, is she insane for thinking she could tell or is that a legit thing?

My midwife told me she would be able to feel baby's position at my next appointment. I don't know what kind of training your hairdresser has had, though.

The lady who makes my breakfast at work asked if I was pregnant. When I told her yes she said it's a girl. She is the first person to guess girl. Every other person says boy! It caught me off guard.

I just figured out last night that my stove top lifts up to clean under there....yeah we've moved out of like 4 places over the last 2ish years and I've never cleaned it beyond what my fingers can reach. I always thought it was ill designed and thought what fell down there was just lost forever. Lol. I felt so stupid when I figured it out. I then told dh when he got home late last night and he was all "you didn't know that?!? I could have told you" blah blah. Well thanks dear.

1. I really don't feel like doing any work today but have a feeling I'll have to, booooo!

2. I think my nesting has finally kicked in this morning. Our house is a mess b/c apparently I married a pig and if I don't tell him how awful it looks, he doesn't pick up his junk. Well between being sick & tired for the past 26 weeks, I've been too unfazed to care but this morning I took inventory and literally EVERY ROOM in our house has his JUNK lying around. Seriously, the man has a tie on the kitchen counter! Why?!?! I feel bad b/c he's been sleeping downstairs on the couch since my morning sickness started in 1st tri and I get up too often to pee for him to sleep with me. Plus we have an adjustable base on our bed and the only way I can sleep comfortably is to basically have our bed in a reclining position so he still can't sleep with me. He's probably out of the house for close to 12 hours and when he comes home his clothes, mail & junk just end up wherever he drops it b/c he's too tired but I literally can't take it anymore. I'm way too fatigued to pick up after him and I honestly don't think it's fair. I work all day too. But somehow I manage to put my clothes away in their proper place and not have mail scattered in three different rooms on top of growing a human! Our nursery furniture is being delivered tomorrow so this is the last straw. I can't take my entire house looking like this man's closet anymore. Not to mention all the baby junk we'll be accumulating soon, we can't have baby's junk piled on top of his junk.

We have a painter here this morning to fix some damage in the future baby's room and he's singing with his earbuds in. It's kind of weird.

Also, all the sudden I can smell the fumes downstairs. At least all the windows can be open today because of the nice weather!

I had a package of strawberries and I thought hmm I really want these to be chocolate strawberries. I couldn't find any baking chocolate in my house, so I melted down some chocolate almond bite size candy bars I had and put it on the strawberries. That's not weird, that's just resourceful.

I still haven't started this opposition that's due today. I'm offering copious amounts of wine or whiskey to anyone willing to write it for me.

I signed up for birthing classes at the hospital yesterday. The description says they show videos of a vaginal birth, cesarean birth, and epidural insertion. I understand the birth videos but WHY WHY WHY do they show the epidural? Neither of us will see that! H will be in another room and I will have my head firmly tucked into the boobs of the sweet nurse who is holding me still.

My 3 yr old keeps adding an extra "choo" onto her sneezes and it sounds like "choo choo" I feel bad she has a cold but that's darn cute!

@PurpleHippo19‌ I've been wanting a new tattoo as well but I cannot ever justify spending the cash. There's too many things we need to do around here and it's driving me bonkers. Also, DH is not a huge fan of tats at all - Though he thinks the one I have is bad ass!

My H claims he doesn't have room for his clothes so I cleaned out a few drawers for him to use, emptied an entire closet & told him he can use 2 drawers from the baby's dresser when it comes in yet STILL nothing can be put away. He seriously cannot have this many clothes that they have to be all over the house. I used to just shake my head at it b/c I was too tired to do anything else but this morning I just SNAPPED! I think I had an eye-twitch moment or something.

It's so funny when people try to guess! The guy who did check out at the rental car place last week was the first person to correctly guess a girl for me too (I'm assuming the breakfast lady was right for you but I'm on mobile so can't tell for sure!) Most other people have thought a boy for me too.

Anyone else notice that certain questions from people seem to come in waves? For some reason over the past couple weeks I have had SO many random people ask me if I have any weird cravings. It's gotten much more common than people asking about how I'm feeling or what sex the baby is. It's like everyone out there got a memo that it was time to start switching up the random questions. I'm wondering what they'll switch to next!

My old supervisor would schedule way too many meetings & never bothered coming into the office so we'd always have to call in to have these meetings HE scheduled. And after about 10-20 mins he still hadn't called in. Someone would literally have to call his cell to remind him to call into his own meeting. Then he'd proceed to hold everyone up 30 mins after the call was scheduled to end b/c he was so late calling in. I got to the point where I'd just conduct the meeting without him before anyone offered to call him just to say we had the meeting and get it over with. I'd email him a summary of what was discussed. 90% of the time the meetings were pointless anyway.

Something else. A daughter came in with her mom for U/S and not sure what else. She is clearly in her mid 20's. The mom is filling out the daughter's paper work. The daughter is just chilling not helping much. WTF?
If you want a baby the figure out your own paperwork! Why is is so many young girls don't know how to fill insurance information.
I am holding my tounge on what other stuff I could say. But REALLY!

Oh I have another random:

I have huge anxiety about l&d but not the typical anxiety. I'm extremely claustrophobic and the thought of my son's body having to squeeze through tight spaces in order to come out freaked me the heck out one night. I almost went into a panic attack thinking about if his head got somehow stuck in my pelvis and how freaked out I'd be if my head were stuck in a tight space... then my husband reminded me that my head WAS in a tight space once upon a time and I managed. If I made it out of a vagina, so can he lol.

Also my husband suffers from sleep paralysis where his mind is awake for a few minutes before his body and he can hear and sense things around him but literally cannot move. That scares the crap out of me and I don't even have it. Then I thought, what if our baby has it (since my BIL also has it) and cue panic attack #2.

Unless of course your infant hates sleeping on a flat surface and screams their brains out. You'll be amazed at what you're ok with when both of you need sleep.

This could also be a FFFC but I'll post it here anyway. Yesterday was my birthday and I used it as leverage to tell DH that I want to go on a road trip to Santa Fe for a weekend next month. I figured since it was my birthday and he'd want to make me happy, that he'd be more likely to say yes. And he did.

Um, that is absolutely terrifying.

I'm pretty claustrophobic. Like, not as much as some people, but definitely a lot. And always more so during pregnancy.

Oh good, I'm not crazy! B/c I've noticed it's gotten exponentially worse since being pregnant!

ETA - to the bolded, RIGHT?!? And the thought that my child could experience that and there's nothing I can do about it gets me hyperventilating! I'm crossing all crossables that he doesn't!

My anniversary is Wed.
My DH didn't get me anything for my birthday, Mother's Day or Valentine's Day (or Christmas I don't think). He isn't a slacker usually we agree to go away for a weekend or he is building me a new kitchen or whatevs so he calls that the gift.
Sometimes a girl likes an actual (little) present.
So he made a comment about how whoops he didn't get me anything for our anniversary yet. I am bummed. flowers would be fine with me or a $20 pair of earrings just something to make me feel special.
