I have hit that point and just want to be at home prepping for baby!!

Tired of working, being on conference calls, creating presentations, and doing non baby related online research!!  Just over it all

Anyone else working and feeling the same way?

  • Nope! With two little ones at home my part time job is almost a vacation!

  • Oh I'm so with you. I can't wait for my life to revolve around a baby and not clients. It's getting harder and harder to concentrate as we get closer.

Yes!! I was just on a call and seriously have the slightest clue what we were really even discussing.

  • I was like that with my first. This one not so much..I wouldn't say I enjoy working, but it's nice to have some time away from the house. I work full time, and it's easy work for good money so I don't complain. I have some days where it's looking up baby stuff on the internet all day, but it's not too bad this time around.

  • Yep. But only because I want to sleep in. ;) I'm still physically able to work and I plan on working as long as I can. My coworker actually had her water break while she was in my boss' cube talking to him. :))

I'm afraid mine is going to break while I'm in a patient's room.... but yeah, i'm so ready to be off work, but not just for LO. I need a vacation!

  • I'm ready to be done only bc I work quite a few 12 hour shifts on my feet and its getting exhausting. I'm going to work as long as possible though. But I'm definitely going to milk it with DH!
  • Me too! It's been happening only recently, but now that I know the final date of employment, I just want to get out of here!

I am more than physically able to work this job, but I have no patience for the day to day bull shit. I just don't seem to care as much...but I'm sticking it out. :(

     It's a BOY! Est. Due Date - October 17th

  • Amen! I can't wait to be done. I am done in less than 2 months and I am counting the days.

  • My physical ability to do my job is diminishing. I FEEL YOUR PAIN!

I rested for the majority of the day and my stomach started hurting again once I was up on my feet. My OB told me yesterday on the phone about going on restrictions after my next appt or earlier if the pain does not decrease.

  • ME TOO. I am thinking of taking PTO days and just burning them October 1st. But my luck is I'll have the baby the last day in September.

I mean. It's not a vacation. But. If I pretend it is, I get more excited about it.

  • Yep!! And I just went from one day a week to full time this week haha. My coworker is about to have her baby and is taking 8 weeks, so I am working her maternity leave.
  • Yep I'm ready to be done or at least work less! I work 4-10s and it's getting exhausted. Plus I feel like I have so much to do at home to get ready and work wears me out so much! My plan is to work until the last possible day, though, to maximize my time with the baby.

  • Yessss! My last wedding is September 20th & after that I am going to be ALL baby all the time. (I hope!) These 6 day work weeks are exhausting.

I'm a teacher and am off of work right now which has been sooo so nice. Honestly though I don't know how I am going to go back to work at 34 weeks pregnant and rangle 24 third graders. My husband is already banking on me complaining nonstop for those 5 or 6 weeks as I probably will :)

I'm with you on this one. We start back August 11th full-time and I have kids coming August 13th. I'm still in denial that it is coming so soon.

I just don't know that I can be on my feet that much and with just a 20 minute lunch. :( I might be sitting more in class by September. Lol

  • I totally feel your pain! I'm an RN in a busy recovery room. I barely get to sit, I'm always standing, transporting patients to rooms, A lot of times I don't get a full break, and it's a very stressful environment! Doing that 5 days a week...I'm SO DONE.
  • Yes, but mainly because my job is super stressful. Secondly because traffic is horrendous and it takes me 4 times as long as it should to get to work and back home. Oh, and I'd also love more sleep.

  • I feel ya! I've barely been sleeping and I'm so tired during the day. I go to the bathroom and just close my eyes wishing I could nap!!
  • My boss just stopped by to tell me they are going to put a contractor in my place starting September 18 (when I am 36 weeks), I had planned to work until 38 weeks but at least now I am covered if it gets to be too much.  I am on my feet all day long, going from patient room to room and running all over the building.  It is good for me though, I guess.

I am pretty tired of working! They always ask for volunteers to go home early and I always volunteer!
I'm getting way to big and I'm getting tired so much faster! Plus I really feel the need to clean everything!
  • Word. Up.  I get out of breath having a 30 minute conference call and then feel like I need a nap :(

  • I am thrilled to stop working for a little bit. This year has been brutal as far S work load and hours. I am so ready for a break from it all and looking forward to being at home with my baby girl. I know being at home with a baby is no picnic either, but I am really just looking forward to that change in routine.

I have been working like 12 hour days since January...and it is mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausting.

  • One of my greatest fears is that my water will break while I'm in Court.

I'm working until I go into labor or the doctor tells me otherwise.  BUT I am taking a personal day on Friday to get some baby errands done.

This is my biggest fear too! It would be mortifying. I am tempted to start wearing Depends to work!

ETA quote box fail. I suck at quote boxes.

Me three. I'm working until I have the baby or doc says I can't, but court appearances stop in October bc I am so terrified of water breaking.

  • I go back to work next week and am dreading it. I tried to do as much baby stuff as I could over the summer but I didn't get close. I do get a week off in September for fall break so I'm hoping to get stuff done then. My biggest fear is my water breaking while I'm standing in front of the class teaching.
  • I'm not necessarily ready to be off work completely, but it would be nice to be able to sleep in and skip the rush hour traffic. I'd love to work 10am to 3pm every day.
  • I am ready. I've gotta figure something else out after the baby is here because this is not going to fly. The worst part is the people I work for are so amazing, but I'm sooooo bored! Although I might not be coming back to work because I can't find ANY DAYCARE. The people out here must reserve their spots as soon as they pee on the stick. I wish I were exaggerating!

  • I feel the same way all of a sudden. It's going to be a long 12 weeks if this feeling doesn't subside!

  • Im ready to be done.. mostly because going to work feels like a cross between survivor island and big brother because I work with some catty two faced people apparently.. :/ I cant wait to be off work and away from the drama for a while! And of course the three months I'll have off to spend with my babes ♥

This. I just want more sleep and a little more time to get my ducks in a row before baby.

Yikes, 20 minute lunches? My pregnancy lunches have been huge and there's no way I'd be able to eat all of my food in 20 minutes.
  • My boss came into my office about an hour ago to criticize me for work that my group did above and beyond what we were asked. Lesson learned, I should work less and sit on my butt more.  I'm ready for a break from the BS!

I literally graze in my other classes...I have to because I can't get it all eaten. I also have to drop off and pick-up the kids which eats into that time. :(

I usually eat just my sandwich at lunch or whatever my "main" meal is. I tend to snack in the other classes. I might eat my grapes an hour earlier, an apple an hour after lunch, etc.

I might have more time this year though....I have a planning period RIGHT after lunch! Woop woop!

Me too! I plan on working (I'm a teacher)until my water breaks. I keep picturing my middle school students faces if it breaks while at school. Ewww! Please no!

  • Only 5 weeks of work, then another 5ish weeks to kill at home until the due date. I'm working a seasonal office job, which is tedious and not engaging or challenging whatsoever. Although I wanted something low stress during the pregnancy, I'm over it!

  • Totally exhausted and ready to just slow down and focus on baby. I work full time plus freelance. My freelance biz has really picked up so it's like having two full time jobs right now. I don't get paid maternity leave so I can't turn down the work but it sucks!!!
