@TKT17‌ ewww crowning lol! Mine just kind of slip out if I sit up or sneeze or something. But I believe that it was as big as it was. They're pretty icky.

@sharmon1317‌ yes! That's usually what's supposed to happen. If there's any pain, that should usually go away too. But ew lol in the shower? *shudder*

I sure hope no one's eating while reading this.

ETA: I just thought about how men will never have these problems. For this, I despise them.

@jensavicci‌ It was legit bigger than a golf ball. It did hurt a bit, but it scared me mostly. I was laughing with DH as we were giving Claire her first bath and she made a funny face...then I felt it crowning and I had to run to the bathroom. So so gross.

Oh dear! I'm so sorry!! Passing those are for sure freaky! It started for me when I was 13. The size of my fist. I remember those bring pretty painful.
Tons of water will help out.

    We have our "Irish Twins"

  • I didn't realize the pic on the main page of my app became my profile pic. To anyone who saw my almost naked self over the last few days: sorry!
  • How long after he is an outside squishy will it not hurt to roll over in bed. This pelvic pain is for the birds :-(
  • Oh no @litera!! You poor thing :( I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything is super smooth for you in the morning...hang in there, chickadee!

  • I'm 6 days PP and my right leg is visibly more swollen than my left. Does anyone else have this experience?

@litera good luck in the morning! I'll be thinking of you!

  • @alwaysnc4me‌ Thanks sweetie. I took a nap & felt better. The rest of the afternoon was spent reading & relaxing. I did notice more contractions late in the day & during the night but they stopped around 2am. If he stays in tonight I go for a checkup tomorrow.
  • @litera‌ hang in there, I hate that you got rescheduled- good luck today!

Any specifically painful spots in the leg? Can you call your doc (just to make sure there's not a clot?).

Eta: sorry, not trying to freak you out. It could also be that you've used one leg more than the other, thus flushing out more fluid there.
Not really. Every now and then, but nothing regular. I'll call today. Thanks!

  • @litera‌ good luck today!

I believe I've been having actual contractions and had a bloody show this morning. Doctor appointment in a few hours. Let's hope this show is starting! Especially since it's what I've been calling "d-day" all along.

Also. Question for you mommas with outside babies. I've had some serious swelling. My feet won't fit in any of my shoes and my size 6 finger fits my husband's size 10 band. How long did/has it been taking for the swelling to go down? I'm over the puffy!!
  • Hope this is IT for you @bcook530 ! Good luck at your appt today!

  • The nerd in me reaaaally wants DD to be born today 7/21/14, as the numbers in her bday would all be divisible by 7. DS was born 3/9/12, all divisible by 3, and I just think it'd be really cool. Nerd alert.

I WANT THIS TOO!!! I am all about the numbers, DH and I got married on 11.11.11 so I wanted this baby to have some numerical birthday! Fingers crossed.. we still have 14 hours!

  • AW:  I just spent entirely too long updating my siggy...I was a little disgusted with myself for the whole Jackfruit situation, I've never been that pregnant and it made me stabby to think about it.  I'm glad I'm spending my maternity leave wisely.

  • @bcook530‌ Mine took probably 2 1/2 weeks to go down completely to where I noticed a huge difference. I had a c/s, though, so not sure if all of the IV's made that timeline worse or not.

  • Why is this making me cry??? Has the dad really never held his own baby before this moment??

Still. It's making me cry hormonal, baby-longing tears.

Really? Nine days out from my due date and I have a full blown cold. Sore throat, swollen glands and snots galore.
I'm just getting over the same thing. I hope you feel better soon! Summer colds are the worst - even more so when you're desperately trying to not be sick before delivering a baby!
  • When will I stop feeling guilty about sleeping til noon? I'm supposed to "sleep when the baby sleeps" and we get up plenty though the middle of the night so why do I feel so guilty?
  • Does @toriisalemon have a labor buddy? She hasn't been active since the 7th. Worrisome.

  • Am I the only person finding an NST somewhat torturous?? I've been hooked up for an hour - apparently baby keeps moving and they need a straight 20min read.. My back feels like its about to break in half.

I had to do them weekly for the last 5 weeks or so and they did suck. Baby girl was rarely cooperative, so they took forever too.

Did they let you change positions? It would help your back but also sometimes helps them get the reading they need from the baby.
  • Congratulations @toriisalemon!!!

I ran into a momma walking on the beach with a 3 day old baby. I am impressed she was out getting so early. It is her fifth baby but still impressive.
