Today I went to Target. Some 50 year old man mooned another 50 year old man and his wife out of road rage in the parking lot. They got out of the car and were yelling at each other by the entrance. This was all in front of my boys. Winner winner chicken dinner.
But.... Target actually had Olaf plush pillows in stock so overall it was a win!
My baby evidently decided to sleep tonight. Because I decided to stay up and work on the house until her first waking. So, of course, all 3 kids have been sound asleep and dh has been sitting on his butt watching terrible tv all night after spending all morning on his tablet.
I can't win with the kids - go to bed, they are up multiple times and I might as well been getting stuff done. Get stuff done, I could have had beautiful uninterrupted sleep. I wish I could truly sleep in in the morning. That would be amazing.
@professorchaos79@ljs4117 Does it really taste like fruity pebbles? I don't really drink beer. :-??DH has tried to get me to try some and I always refuse. I think maybe even that kind.

@ashie624 - I think sunset wheat tastes a lot like fruity pebbles in beer form. There are a lot of tasty beers out there that I started out with. Beer was sort of an acquired taste for me.. Blue moon is a really easy to drink beer IMO
Ugh. I'm staying at my in-laws right now and they have a flea infestation. I'm so grossed out and my ankles are covered in bites. I want to clean everything a thousand times before we go home. I'm afraid of bringing any of these pesky assholes home.
Morning ladies! I've had a crazy couple days... I ended up being my friend's unofficial doula Thursday and she had her sweet baby on Friday at 3:35 am! I didn't get home til 6:30 so I was completely wiped out on Friday and we had DD's 1 year appt etc. Our pedi was a little concerned that she is so small because she was 50th percentile for weight at around 4 months and has dropped down to 3rd. 16 lbs and 5 oz! Talk about a little peanut!
Yesterday we had her party and thank you so much for all the suggestions for how to make it work on a low budget! We ended up doing it at our place and it was a little nuts, but thankfully the weather has been cooler and the kids played outside a lot.
Now it's time to get serious about packing as we move Saturday! Eek!
Ewwww @cuterusaurus I have been there with the fleas! My grandma on my dad's side lived in Indiana and had about 50 cats, inside and outside. She ALWAYS had fleas. I had to sleep on the couch and got bit up every time. It was so gross. I would probably stop at the laundromat on the way home and buy some fresh clothes to change everyone into!
Good morning ladies, strange house this morning, I am up and have managed to get my first cup of coffee and DS is still sleeping.
I enjoy a good fruity pebbles beer, lol. We have a local brewery, Cigar City Brewery that I just filled up our growlers at yesterday, hope to enjoy a nice whit later this afternoon, DH is the IPA guy, that's a little too hoppy for me, but I can handle it in small tastings.
Good morning ladies! Our family is staying at a resort/water park with the in laws. It's going pretty well so far, not too much drama but they still annoy me. Anyway, DH and I went to the hotel deck bar to get a drink and talk last night. We haven't actually talked in forever abd I think it resolved a lot. I'm feeling much better after last night. We DTD and it was pretty scandalous but fun. Right now we're just waiting for the in laws to wake up to do breakfast and go swimming again.
@haddocky how do you make your gravy? I've never made it but the kids and I always love biscuits abd gravy when we go out.
@cuterusaurus yuck about the fleas! I wouldn't have been able to sleep.
We took Luke to his first Cardinals game yesterday!
My nephew's team & families all went so my sister got us tickets too. I was worried about having him out in the heat and was prepared to leave after 2-3 innings, but it was a nice day and we were in the shade and he was happy and we made it to the 8th. Pics to follow....

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
Beers are yucky. This trip is going so much better for DD. we are keeping her on AZ time so the transition back home won't be so hard on her. She is very confused with what is going on. Can't wait to be home after traveling for two weeks. Note to self don't take back to back trips with a baby.
After reading about one year shots I am glad I made the appt for after ours trips so she will be 13 months. Oh crap that means my bday is in two weeks....well I am not having on this year.
@kaylakim sausage gravy is really simple - brown some good sausage in a skillet, don't drain the grease, sprinkle in a few spoonfuls of flour and stir it around for a minute or two, add milk and let it simmer until it thickens. Salt & pepper to taste. Mmmmmmmm.

I woke up this morning and looked at the monitor. Baby wasn't in his crib. He and daddy were in the playroom... Went in and they were reading. James saw me, started crying, and dh realized James had just pooped.
@ljs4117 did you end up getting the mei tai? Babywearing is my faaaavorite!!
I hope your family feels better soon @Fayga and that YH helps you with the party today. I would throw some cold medicine at him and tell him to get dressed and get shit done.
Mmmmm biscuits and gravy @haddocky . H is making breakfast this morning.
I'm so annoyed with H this morning. He's been a royal jackass since waking. So I locked myself in the bedroom and he can deal with everything.

Secret ingredient is a bit of cayenne
One time I accidentally added cinnamon (I didn't have sausage and was seasoning up the ground pork myself) and it was odd but really delicious.

I just made sausage gravy, so good. It's the first batch I've made in years.
