My husband thinks it's good idea to stay awake between the 11:30 and 3:30 feedings. Even if the baby is sleeping. Why? So I can get sleep. 1) thank you 2) why does our sleep have to be mutually exclusive? You are a cranky zombie if you don't get sleep.
Everyone keeps telling me to sleep while I can since I still have an inside baby. I only wish I could do so.
Curse you, pregnancy insomnia.
Everyone told me this too, and I had such insomnia there was no way it was happening. I'm convinced it's your body's way of preparing you for when LO gets here
Checking in. Of course I can't sleep. This pelvic pressure and lower back pain is ridiculous. I have the urge to go on a walk but at 2 a.m. that probably wouldn't go over well.
Is it just me or does it seem like our group is going in to labor in clusters?? Nothing for a day or two and BAM! A bunch of sweet little babies. Are our periods going to sync up too now? lol
So I have lost the ability to change a diaper properly. Whatever I'm doing is allowing LO to pee out of the left side of his diaper... Every. Single. Time. My husband does if and it's fine. Wtf??
Are you pointing him down when you changd him?
ETA this may not be your issue, but E was leaking out of the diaper a ton so we sized up from newborn to 1 and he hasn't leaked since. Even though the smaller diaper appeared to fit him fine.
I do point him down. I may check to see of a size 1 works better. I think the NBs are getting small on him but not sure if it's time to size up.
I was having the same issue with my little guy. We were using Huggies and switched to pampers. It has not happened since. Maybe you can try switching brands?
Fckkk. I hate that I fed him, then he pooped so I had to change him and now he's wide awake at 230 because there is no bottle left to put him back to sleep. Ugh.
Why the hell is my baby sooo gassy all.the.time? Is it something I'm eating? Ugh. Gas drops aren't helping and neither one of is can sleep due to all his grunting and fussing all damn night.
I needed a break so slept while DH held the baby. Then woke up and pumped for 10 minutes so DH could feed her and I could go back to sleep. I was so excited and relaxed for a good 10 minutes. Huge fail. An hour and a half later and the 3 1/2 ounce bottle I pumped she gobbled down and it didn't put her to sleep, the pacifier didn't work tonight which it has the last two times this happened, and now I'm trying to BF her again to get her a little sleepy so she will go to bed. All I wanted was a few hours break for my nipples and an extra hour or two of sleep. :-/
I'm using bump, Facebook and Pinterest to keep me awake.
I went to a friends bday party tonight (last night? A few hours ago?) and has half of a margarita and now I might puke. Rocking LO is churning my stomach and I keep thinking why?!?! Tequila is not a gentle beast.
LO has been doing awesome letting me sleep from 11pm until 3am. But I'm an ungrateful bitch and want him to also sleep from 3am until 6am or 7am and it just doesn't happen. I put him down around 4:30am after some seriously cuddles at the 3am feeding and he's always fussy again at 5-5:30. And I am just falling back asleep/nonfunctional at that time.
What of you do when you're feeding? What show do you watch? What websites do you go on? How do you stay awake at night?
Edit: whoops
WIDE awake here. I'm ashamed to admit I've been watching Dog the Bounty Hunter, Lockup and Roseanne. That combination makes me sound like a trashy hillbilly lol.
Just checking in! It's funny while I was pregnant DD never stopped moving at night. I always told her she better sleep when she's here. Now, she's here and sleeps and I have to wake her to feed to make sure she's getting enough. Can't win!!
Hi friends. For a GTKY tonight - what's on your nightstand/MOTN feeding station? Mine is getting unruly.
Eta because I posted too quickly. I have 2 bottles of water, a gallon water jug, my cup of water, a can of formula, two parenting books (ha!), my breast pump, and three bottles.
I've been so thirsty lately! I thought my craving for icees and slushes would go away after I had G, but I think it's gotten worse! DH is getting on my case about drinking too much juice, but it's so good! I want all the limeade!
Hello 3:30, I have to wake up at 6 today to be out the door by 8 to be to be at my follow up appointment at 10. I have a feeling today is going to be HELL.
I have a pair of wiiiide awake eyes looking at me.
And I watch whatever is on tv when I come out in the living room. This morning is Chuck Norris... I can't complain

I had insomnia before pregnancy. It is of course worse. I am due Tuesday. Period cramps the last 2 days. Contracting for a few weeks. Not getting my hopes up bc from my 38 to 39 week appt there was no change. Keeping up with you ladies just gives me something to read at night.
Tonight has been my first night in the past 2 1/2 weeks where I am the only one waking up to do the feedings and changes. DH has his first day back to work today. I miss the help at night but know I can sleep all day when LO sleeps, so I can't justify making him wake up too.
My night stand has never had so much stuff on it. I have my pumping stuff, 2 baby bottles, 3 bottles of water, my vitamins, breast feeding supplies, a can of formula, and my iPad and phone. Oh and the tv remote if I remember to put it back and not leave it somewhere in bed.
I waste time watching Comedians in Cars Drinking Coffee

1:36, and nursing baby in bed for the first time. It's lovely, I don't know what took us so long to try it. So all I've got is my nipple shield and my phone
My nightstand is currently our living room coffee table until I heal enough from my emergency c section to be able to sleep in bed. On it: breast pump, nipple shield, lanolin, big water bottle, snack!, Motrin, iPhone, burp cloth, Chapstick.
Up every 1.5 hours tonight. Hoping for a longer stretch after this. My letdown is creating tummy problems for my sweet girl. And I think I may have to cut out dairy to see an improvement.
I'm thinking of moving my nightstand because it's hard to get in and out with the Arm's Reach. On top I have 3 glasses, The Silkworm (just started), The Goldfinch (next), my phone, journal, DD1 video monitor and an unplugged lamp.
My feeding station is the side table by the couch. I get exiled to the living room so DH can get sleep for work. I have all the essentials: nipple shield, bottle of water, ibuprofen, stool softener, iron pills, Dr Newman's nipple cream, baby mittens, tiny rattles and a bunch of junk I have to get rid of.
It's 3:45 CST & DD is back in her pnp in a milk coma. It takes me longer to fall back asleep than it does her.
The "feeding station" consists of the laptop, some burp cloths & the electric throw (laying on the recliner). I'm still having some night sweats so I'm chilled when I get up with her. I Bump & watch Pretty Little Liars while she eats.

1) thank you

Oh snap I think she's finally down at 1am after cluster feedy-
...for three hours. I need to stop falling asleep in the middle of posts lol.
Anyway, we just slept for four hours. It's 5am and I am feeling like a new woman!

2. Jealous. Tv wakes me up too much or else I could catch up on PLL!
