For some reason I totally blank on changing diapers between the hours of 6pm-10pm. Any other time if day or night I'm on it. For whatever reason my brain just shuts down during this time!
So excited for both you @Matthew930 and you @litera !!! Babies, babies everywhere! Just a little song to get you through. LOL seriously though, I bet if you imagine J'14 singing that song (90's music video style) while in labor, you may have a chuckle or two. Should make it more enjoyable
My beautiful baby girl had heart surgery on Thursday and had her chest closed up today, the first step of many to coming home. I am a proud mama tonight.
I usually love it and read all the birth stories but it's been hard since finding out my girl was sick; I am excited for all you mamas and l look forward to late night check-ins and such when Catie gets to come home.
Oh my gosh. I hope the surgery went completely as planned and that her recovery is safe and smooth. I'll definitely be thinking of you and your little Catie!

I will be thinking of y'all! Hopefully you get to bring her home soon!
I was BF DD and didn't realize how much of a power packed let down I have... She de-latched and my boob became a 30 second water hose of milk... Seriously shooting out for what seemed like forever! All I could do was lmao and wait for it to stop.
@Tbags83 I've had 2 heart surgeries and now I live a completely healthy life! I've had friends who had open heart as babies and they do as well. In fact, they were very happy to have them done as infants instead of being older. Your little girl is a badass ♥♥♥
Ditto @Tbags83 - i was a "blue baby" and had open heart when I was 3.5...I went on to swim my entire life and be a D1 collegiate athlete! Your little girl is amazing, and so are you - the stories my mother tells about how terrified she was still haunt her - i can't imagine your strength sweetie. Hang in there.
@2lacyblue you know what's funny/sad/because I'm sleep deprived and up half asleep right now feeding my kid, I read your response and was like,...seems legit, that chick was really crazy.
I didn't make the connection to the real GoT until pp pointed it out. Lol
So far the Huggies Snugglers diapers are my favorites. We had the a pampers Swaddlers that we used first and when we ran out if those we moved to the Huggies package and the just seem to fit so much better for LO. And this is fantastic since I have about 10 boxes of pampers in my closet for when she turns a size 1. I'm hoping I will love the pampers again once I get back to them. We're on the Walgreens packages right now.
@Tbags83 I can't even imagine everything going through your head right now, but I'm happy to hear the first surgery went well and hopefully the coming days get easier for you.
So far I've done Pampers in the hospital, a case and Jumbo pack of Target at home and right now I'm working through my Walgreens supply. Id have to say, target is probably my fave so far. I like the wetness indicator that turns blue better than the hearts that disappear on the Walgreens ones. The Target ones are also a lot stiffer than the Pampers and for some reason I don't seem to mind that. The Pampers feel soft as a Kleenex which is weird to me. I'm sure it's a perk but it's just a little weird.
@Tbags83 I'm keeping you and your little sweetie in my t&p's!
Last night I had the WORST back pain. Thought it *might* be labor but then it subsided after I ticked on my hands and knees for an hour. Bebe probably turned to a posterior position.... 3 days before her due date. Grrrr.
@ichamommy I'm not a fan of the hearts, either. DH for some reason has THE hardest time figuring out if the hearts are gone or not. The Walgreens don't feel soft to me, either. So far Huggies wins the soft battle for me. I'm sure LO doesn't care, but it makes me feel bad giving her not as soft diapers. Ha. :-)
@jessafish I think I'm going to try a box of my size 1 Pampers and then if they don't seem like what I want see if there is any store that will exchange some of these for the Huggies. Otherwise I will be stuck for awhile!
@livkight I think we have the same due date. 21st? I was up half the night on Friday from lower back pain and cramping. I was so hopeful it was labor. But it subsided after 2 hours that included a shower, eating, and rocking on the exercise ball. *sigh*
I've been away from TB for the past week (on and off) and now I'm too intimidated to catch up on threads
So all I have to add is:
@Tbags83: I'm so sorry to hear that your little one had to have heart surgery so young but it sounds like she is a fighter! I hope all is well and keep us updated
God bless Fenugreek. My milk didn't come in until PP Day 7 and I was only able to pump between 10 and 20 milileters, sometimes I would get closer to 30. This past session I got almost a whole ounce! I unhooked my nursing bra and my boob just started leaking everywhere. I am not sure how long we'll have to supplement with formula but hopefully this keeps up.

Yay! Glad it's helping!

@bcook530 my late due date is the 23rd... Ultrasound put it at the 17th and I was bleeding pretty much the whole month she was conceived so it's anybody's guess. :P I too was so hoping last night was labor!! I hope both our squishes come fast-- without back labor-- when the real deal starts up
SO is finally starting to understand the world I currently live in. After debating if we actually want to get out of the house and do anything today he just looks at me and says "You'd be perfectly happy staying in the house and never putting clothes on again until after this kid comes out, wouldn't you?"
Yes, yes I would.
This has been me, but then again we actually left the house for a date night and doing my hair and makeup made me feel so much better about being pregnant. It was also nice to get out without my sd and just spend some time reminiscing about the pregnancy with dh. I've been in a much better mood today!
I don't use baby lotion for a few months yet. We don't do baths everyday either so her skin doesn't dry out. I think with DS we started using Cetaphil because of eczema sometime around 3 months.
I spent the entire 1st half of the day in a total emotional meltdown ( I stayed home from church to avoid people asking me about contractions & giving me advice. I basically stayed in bed & cried for a bunch of ridiculous reasons and for no reason at all. Now my eyes are all tired & burning. Basically today is just a craptastic day.
I want to comment in the Nightly Routine thread that my nightly routine is eating a ridiculous bowl of ice cream, followed by sleep, followed by heartburn and a 3am bowl of cereal. This is my nightly routine with an inside baby.
Today something came out of my body that terrified me -- I guess a clot but it was huge and for a second I was worried they forgot to remove something. Post-pregnancy is maybe even less glamorous than pregnancy.
Oh jeez. Clots are the worst. Passing one is damn near close to child birth IMO. I get them every period I hope yours didn't hurt!
