Anyone have any experience with this? I have been in the hospital for 24 hours now for steroid shots and monitoring. Really worried about LO. Dr isn't saying much. They want do genetic testing to find out what's causing it. All T&P are appreciated.

Update:  Still in the hospital waiting to find out what exactly is causing this for her.  Most of my blood work has come back normal.  They have scheduled a procedure for tomorrow to put a shunt into her chest to drain the fluid which should hopefully get her circulatory system working properly again.  While they do that they will also do amniocentesis as well as remove some of the extra fluid in the amniotic sac.  Please pray for us that this procedure goes smoothly and helps to buy her some time so they can figure out what is causing this and hopefully be able to treat her.  The doctors and staff are doing everything they can to keep this little one in until at least 34 weeks and to try to figure out what is causing it before then, so this is probably going to be a long and drawn out battle for her and us.  Thank you for all of the positive thoughts and prayers, please continue to pray for LO and our family.

FINAL UPDATE: Hello ladies.  I wanted to take a minute to come and update you all on the situation with my LO.  You ladies have provided so much support and feedback for me over the last few months, I didn't really feel it was fair to leave you all in the dark about what has happened.  I was admitted into the hospital on July 17th for monitoring and beta shots due to the doctors finding out my baby had fluid in her chest and abdomen (hydrops and ascites) and I had extra fluid in the sac (polyhydraminos) causing me to measure 37 cm at 30 weeks pregnant.  On Monday July 21st they decided to try to implant a shunt (small tube to drain the liquid) into her chest and draw out some fluid from her and the sac for genetic testing.  They were able to take fluid out of her chest but not able to install the shunt.  On Wednesday an US showed that the fluid had already re accumulated to the same amount it was before the procedure on Monday.  Due to the fact the fluid re accumulated they decided to try installing a shunt again on the following Saturday which was also unsuccessful due to her moving around and issues with myself during the procedure.  My water broke on Sunday and Leah Grace was born at 32 weeks by emergency c-section on Monday July 28th at 3:04 am.  Doctors did absolutely everything they could to keep her alive long enough to fight off being so sick, but unfortunately their efforts were not enough.  She did not make it and passed away on Tuesday July 29th.  Her funeral was held on the following Tuesday.  My family and I are absolutely devastated about what has happened, and frankly will never understand why.  I am very lucky that DS is not old enough to understand what we have just endured, but one day I'm sure we will have to sit down to discuss with him that he does have a sister who is now in heaven.  I pray for you ladies who have ever been through anything similar, I would never wish this on anyone.  As for the rest of you, I want to say good luck with the rest of your pregnancies, I hope you all have smooth deliveries and happy and healthy babies.  I will not be back on the bump as it is just too difficult for me, but I really do wish the best for all of you and would like to thank you again for your continuous support.
