  • So my sisters BFF just had a baby and my sister sent me a picture of the nursery. She's use a drop side crib, and both sides are drop side!! Seriously didn't think they made those anymore and that they couldn't legally be sold.

I believe drop side cribs are not legal for sale in Canada and the US.
That doesn't mean you couldn't have gotten one from a relative (hand me down) as a gift. Or home made.

But BOTH sides drop?? That doesn't even seem possible. I've seen several different types of drop side cribs (I've got 2 diff styles) but I don't think any of them dropped on BOTH sides.
  • This leap SUCKS! Brooke barely napped today, has been refusing to nurse, and just all around fussy. 31 days until it ends?? Are you kidding me?

At least my husband is off tomorrow.

I feel your frustration! Colton is either rufusung pumped milk or refusing to nurse. Everyday it's a gamble do I pun or nurse! Plus he won't nap either! My other kids never went through this, at least not that I noticed!
  • If bunny and husky have a throw down.. I have no idea who to place bets on! Hmmm...
lol, there will be no throw down. Sorry to disappoint.

Where I grew up an infant was pretty much expected to be with mommy.

I would never have asked if my EBF infant was allowed or not UNTIL I joined The Bump.

Oddly enough, I'm going to a wedding in a couple months and NO children are invited to wedding or reception.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with LO. I could likely find a sitter, but I will need to BF and I would prefer not to have to pump.

    No.they.are.not.

    ;)
  • @DisneyAddict1‌
When I was a kid going to all the weddings my family was invited to we always sat nicely at the wedding and stayed with all the adults at the reception.
We loved to dance and chase each other around. A lot of times I had friends/cousins there because I come from a large family and we knew EVERYONE!!!

When I joined TB I saw threads about weddings without kids...I was shocked that so many people agreed on no kids.

    @FFwifey‌
Hoity toity in Toronto. Of course there are no children allowed. 8-|
Where is it, Casa Loma? Lol.

So my friend told me tonight that we aren't allowed to bring LO to her wedding. I'm honestly stunned, I didn't realize it would be a big deal at all. Apparently she already told 3 people with infants that they can't bring them so she can't let me bring him or they will be pissed. The wedding is on a long weekend so all of our families and friends are busy. I am so annoyed- she's a VERY close friend so I don't want to miss the wedding, but people without kids just don't get it!!! Soooo annoying!!!! What am I going to do now? :(

who the eff has a wedding with no kids allowed? Especially BIA

ETA: also I am standing in a Manhattan wedding this weekend and bride just asked me what my plans were but honestly didn't care. If I had laser eyes I would totally shoot them at your friends wedding for being so ...sooo...eh

  • Fftc.... I Am still mad that dh opened another credit card last week... Needed that like a shot in the butt, BUT with the drop crib talk again I googled, I honestly thought it was just preference and people didn't like them. Anyways darn google and their pics they show.... We ordered an inexpensive crib off amazon.

My niece used this crib for a year no issues, we have the drop towards the wall but I can't unsee those images of the doll! It will be here July 22-26!

    $-) :-S

My confession is that I am using the same crib from ds2. It has a drop down side!
  • Mh and ds 1&2 still aren't home from the theme park. I am so lonely and can't wait for them to get home!
  • I just went onto the 3-6 month board and it's a scary place. One women saying she did CIO for 30 min on her four month old and another defending her saying she started CIO at 2 months. I guess I'm sticking with here and parenting.

O.o. I die at 5 minutes (sometimes he wakes up and cries and falls back asleep, 5 minutes my timer to make sure I'm not making it worse). Nope. Couldn't do it. Nope nope nope.

&nikkys2008 you missed the person on our board saying she lets her 4mth old CIO. Not just CIO, scream the hs down kinda cry, for 15 minutes! Reading that really upset me. I don't understand why you would so that to a baby so young! @beanieangel that is our bedtime too. It works for us. She also takes a catnap around 6:30 or 7.

Qi took what she said as 15 minutes before she goes in, and it usually takes three tries. So 45 minutes that poor baby screams each night.

  • @FFwifey‌ Wait, so you found out after the invite and RSVP stage that it was adults only? That's not cool. I have no problem with adults only weddings, couples can make their own choices. But I think that it needs to be communicated clearly before RSVPs so that guests can make informed decisions and plans. I get the etiquette rule of 'names on invitations,' but a hard line no kids rule needs a separate call out. If this was just sprung on you, I would decline and not feel bad. Heck, in her scenario, she already paid for your SO who she wants to stay home so you can come alone.

  • Lo was fussing during her nap I went in there thinking she needed her paci...nope she needed to poop/fart! She immediately settled back down. She'll be napping with that possibly poopy diaper cause I am not waking her up!
  • Spotted a crazy looking spider in the sink. Laughed with my H about it a bit, snapped some pictures, and posted it on Facebook. IIT'S A BROWN RECLUSE!!!! Someone come and rescue me from my office please.
  • We didn't have toddlers

Ugghhhh 1 nap todayyyy. These days seem endless.

@wisconsincheese12... I saw that episode! I tried making mine with Vanilla Almond Milk and it's delish!!!

@bjd316... I'm sorry that's such a hard decision! I don't know what I would do if I was in that position.

Still no naps to be had over here :(
  • Today makes 1 year since my Dad passed away. I cared for him from age 13 to age 31

@ProudMommy030614‌ I just wrapped her and she has been asleep for 10 minutes so far. I hope you get a nap in soon! FX

Yay :) Colton is currently having a very important conversation with crinkly book!
  • lol sooo glad we aren't fb friends @babylimas
Haha, a couple of my FB friends weren't so pleased. I had to post it for ID purposes. It was a life and death situation!
  • Omg grumpiest baby ever! Please take a damn nap!
  • Oh the noggin comment made me remember! I forgot to tell you guys that we think Will is getting a helmet. I know it's no longer recommended but his is extreme and we aren't seeing any improvement now that he is mobile. So . . . Fun times. Talking to the pedi about it next week.

My DH's vasectomy is scheduled for August 8. I know deep in my heart that we are done having kids, but the finality of it scares me! ( I'm trying to focus on sex without condoms, which makes me smile)

@babylimas‌ that sucks, sorry :( I think DDs looks much better but I'm not really sure what they consider problematic

I appreciate it! I'm not upset about it. We have been worrying about it so much and spending so much time working on it that now it's kind of a relief to take the "easy way."

I was going to post the other day...
My DH just finally got in for his consultation appointment.
There is still a minimum 4 month wait for the vasectomy... :( could be a 6 month (or longer) wait... Sigh

I'm sooooo afraid of getting pregnant before then. I already have an almost 20 month old and my 4 month old.

    I'm really hoping there's a cancellation...like...NEXT WEEK. Lol.

Anyone else having trouble finding a good nursing bra?  I feel like I can't figure out what the right size for me is, then when I finally find one that I think is good it doesn't offer enough support.  Anyone want to recommend a good one?

I was actually going to post a very similar question tonight. I have a bravado! one (I think it might be the bliss) from nursing DS1. It was a little big then but I'm overflowing it now. I would love another one of those but I would really like to be measured by someone who knows what they are doing.
