I was going to post the other day...
My DH just finally got in for his consultation appointment.
There is still a minimum 4 month wait for the vasectomy... could be a 6 month (or longer) wait... Sigh

I'm sooooo afraid of getting pregnant before then. I already have an almost 20 month old and my 4 month old.

I'm really hoping there's a cancellation...like...NEXT WEEK. Lol.

Wow...that wait time is insane! My DH called 2 weeks ago for the first time and already had his consultation visit this past Monday. They scheduled him for August 8 (only 3 weeks after his visit).

Ya...there must be a lot of people in line ahead. We asked for the consultation in February. Just got in to see him in July. Now waiting til October or later.

When I'm pumping at work in the lactation room, I get major anxiety when someone shakes the door handle to see if it's available or not. It happens every.single.time. A company with over 30k employees on this city, u would think there would be more then only 43 total lactation rooms across the several campuses!

Could you put a do not disturb sign on the door? If there already is one maybe stick a post it that says you'll be finished at xx:xx time.

There is sign you slide over that says "in use" but some times people forget to slide it back over when they are done using the room. Never thought of the post it note, good idea!

Were on the road for the 2 day 16 hour car trip to visit my parents! DH is actually with us, we are dropping him at the ILs so he can go to a funeral and he will fly home.
Today, 9 hours to ILs
Tomorrow, 3 hours to my brothers
Saturday, 7 hours to my parents.

I was able to sit on the back and nurse the boys while they are I. Their carseats, I even kepty stately I ! This saves us a 30 min stop!!

Well look who was offered a job today, me! Start work on Monday in a pediatrician office. I have only ever worked with palliative Peds patients before. I am excited for this new journey!

I'd like to go to others because there are so many vendors, and no one can eat that many ribs in just one weekend.

so pretty much every free moment of my time is spent with DH's family. but not DH, since he works crazy swing shifts. Don't get me wrong, I love them dearly, but omg I seriously need some time to myself with lo. I'm exhausted and don't get a ton of help around the house so all I really want to do this weekend is spend some time alone at home. today is DH's only day off and he just texted me that he is going with lo to his cousin's house and asking if I wanted to join. DS1 started rolling onto his side to sleep around 3-4 months old, then around 4-5 months was on his belly.
He did it himself, and could roll back on his own so I didn't deter it. He still sleeps on his belly at 20 months old.

LO has just started to roll to his side from time to time, but not every night.

I say let them sleep how they are most comfortable especially if you know the skill is there.

LO sleeps on her belly every night for a few hours, she doesn't roll over on her own yet . But she has super awesome head control and has been sleeping on her belly since before I went back to work. Its the only way she will sleep !!

Layla rolled onto her side starting a few days ago. My husband insists she is looking to cuddle with me.

I could use some advice from you guys. My mom is hosting a BBQ for family to meet Layla this weekend. She has graciously invited my father. I haven't seen me father since my wedding 2 years ago. Before then it would've been five years. I haven't gotten birthday presents or Christmas presents since I was about 12.

The problem is this weekend is also his 60th birthday. Do I suck it up, be the bigger person, and get him a small gift? Or do I treat it like usual and do nothing since we have no relationship?

I feel guilty doing nothing, but I don't like pretending he deserves recognition either.

I was paranoid about it too. I would go and check on her like 10 times a night. Until one night on the monitor I literally watched her pick her head and look side to side. I knew after that she would be ok. I would NEVER do it as a newborn , but I think our LOs are at the age where they can defiantly handle it !

My random realization for the week: J moved up to size 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers at the same time. Then it occurred to me that he moved to 3-6 month and size 2 diapers at the same time. The clothes sizes and the diaper sizes correspond!

Holland was born April fools day, but I was a March mama. It defaults since I put her birthday in. It's annoying enough that I'm thiiiiiiiis close to saying she was born on the 31st just to get my default month correct!
