FUCK IT! Here's the deal. Max, LT and someone else are creating a FB group for realz this time. THEY have certain requirements to get into this group. If you don't qualify, tough titties. Either make your own or post more so we can get to know you. If you think you have done enough, then PM them and they will vote at that time. This really isn't that hard.
BTW...each person that said that they have been posting the whole time...blah blah blah I recognize none of you. (Exceptions have already been noted by PPs)

First off there are restrictions for privacy reasons. If we didn't care then we would have started one 1st tri and kept it an open group for anyone to join.
I think a lot of people in here are freaking out when they don't need to be.
If for some reason people don't recognize you or you just come out to post on FB threads then start posting more and get to know the group and join later. It's that simple. Clogging the board is not the answer to up your post count.
I don't plan on leaving TB and I hope everyone else sticks around too.

I think it would be easier for me on FB but I don't want to see others lose interest in this board. I don't know where I stand as far as meeting the requirements, I think I am at 513 posts but I was on TB for my last pregnancy I don't know if that is total or for S14. I also don't post pictures or participate in the siggy things. But mostly because I do this at work and I would rather respond to posts and also be productive at work. I have tried I can't get the pictures thing and I just gave up.
I understand the guidelines and I think they are best to keep out the lurkers and randoms. I am happy with what the group decides.
Thanks to the people willing to be the admins/monitors seems like a lot.
I am finally getting a chance to catch up on this thread and I'm liking the rules so far and I trust the admins to keep out the crazy. But I am beginning to think we should have to pass a reading comprehension test to get in

I don't usually try so hard to read every post before I comment but wow I did today. I just wanted to give major props to rule creators and the ladies who are handing themselves the task of moderating this thing. I had a suggestion for rules:
I would have some sort of general rules post that when you join the group must be acknowledged in some way.(Maybe a "like" or something). I know you might would think that everyone who has joined would KNOW the rules, but it never fails that someone has a bad day (or just loses their mind to aliens, whatever) and does something completely out of character. That way when you're having to PM someone and say "Hey, you did xyz and this is your warning shot." you have a list of rules to say that they were aware of, and remind them that they acknowledged those rules so they need to be mindful of them while posting.
Like I kind of said, it seems dumb but I think it just adds an extra layer of accountability for everyone. It's a safety net for mods(they aren't being power hungry, just enforcing stated rules), and something posters can tangibly see and look to if they do ever get themselves in some hot water or disagree with a mod.
It was already explained the love tits are the ones YOU get from people loving the comments you have made.
Just FTR in case my post was misunderstood... I understand how the love tits count works. My point was that if people are going through and giving them for no good reason, that means they are being received for no reason also. If 20 people post on HDBD and love tit every post, that's 20 love tits that others each receive just for posting a bump pic.
I wasn't responding to you, but I totally get what you're saying! I'm sure if the admins get someone who wants to join that they aren't sure of, they'll just check the post history and see where their contributions have been made.

I only tit the bump pic of posters I recognize but I'm mean like that

This is a private FB group started by 3 of our regs. If you join their group, you agree that they are the governing body of the group and they can do what they want. If you disagree with them, leave the group. IDK why everyone thinks this is some sort of democracy.

I wanted to make a joke about forgetting to put on my communist hat today, but then remembered I'm bad at internet jokes. Twas but a suggestion. I'm totally against how democracies and capitalism works anyway. *Please don't mention my name in the next red scare, please don't mention my name in the next red scare, please don't mention my name in the next red scare.*

I need to start loving everything!! If you all go over the FB, don't forget to post around here sometime. This is how I can get my info on sales and other things I wouldn't have thought to ask!
I think saying we can't talk about things is too 1984 for me. If we start banning topics with politics and religion, it can just turn into a circle jerk. Over the 5 years that I've been on August 2010 it went from being ONLY ABOUT BABIES to being about everything under the sun and we sometimes go back and talk about our kids.
This also came to mind - so in Aug2010 we had this lady who was nuts about not vaxxing, and it turned into this gigantic colossal argument and people were eternally butt hurt from it. I think that we need to have rules in place for what type of disciplinary action is taken when members go out of line from the jump. I don't think people should have to "Like" the rules (like, c'mon, that's just meaningless) but it should be a document that's visible at all times so there is transparency as to what is an automatic rejection. You make dead baby jokes? Out. You post NSFL pictures to get your points across? Out. You ... idk ... stalk a member and try to wear her as a suit. OUT.
I think the more we can eliminate any perceived instances of favoritism, the better the group will be.
I was down until you added the bolded. I mean, c'mon Clarice, what's the fun in that?

If suit wearing is going to be allowed, then we all need to follow strict skin care maintenance to make sure it's the best suit possible.
Just got off a long day at work. I checked in on this thread and titted things on my breaks, but now that I'm home and have time to comment everything has been said so here's my contribution....
* FB obsessed randos be cray. Yes, you ARE randos and we don't want you unless you take the time to post here. Tough noogies.
* I like the 2/3 rule because I do recognize several of the women that voiced concerns about post count.
* I like the other rules mentioned and agree adult conversations about politics and religion should not be taboo.
* I love our admin choices.
* I'm sad all the lesbian action is going down without me. *sniffle*

As usual my first instinct is to find a gif to reply with.... but I decided against Googling "lesbian action girl boner."

Sorry, but I find your choice of words here highly inappropriate. Maybe it's just me.
I think @natsan08 and @redbarmaid have good points with a document about the posting/membership guidelines. I think that will make it easier for the mods to address things without showing favoritism.
I also think @mrs.leah.maria has a good point about addressing whether someone could be let back in.
Maybe we should decide if it's one and done as far as rule breaking across the board or if some things would have warnings and then banning, etc.
I DON"T UNDERSTAND THIS!!! 3 of our regs are creating a FB group and are inviting those who meet THEIR requirements to be let in and to STAY in. THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY!!!! They don't have to be unbiased. They don't have to let you back in. JUST DON"T BE AN ASSHOLE AND YOU WILL BE FINE.
One last thing! This is not an "official" FB group. There is no such thing. You have not paid money to be here. The FB mods are getting a salary for putting this up. You aren't entitled to anything. Once they post the rules for the FB group, you can choose to request an add or you can pass. End of discussion. If you don't like their rules, by all means, go make your own group and add whomever your little heart desires. This shit is already annoying.
I'm just going to throw out there that everyone should use their real FB account. No making an AE FB account with your bump name. That way everyone is on an even playing field.
Dude! But my name really is Trom Boner. It's a good old French name. See?
