Welcome to first trimester check-in. This is for those of us who want to stay in the safety of the PgAL board yet still have first tri questions. If you are not tagged in the post, please feel free to join. What do you all consider second trimester? Is it 12, 13, or 14 weeks? I have actually heard all three. FTMs, please feel free to ask any questions you have! Also, does anyone know if the user names are case sensitive?

Re: First Trimester Check-in
And that's despite increasing pregnancy symptoms and a (previously scheduled) visit with my OB in which she said everything sounded normal and scheduled my appointments for when I get released to her.
My 4 year old doesn't know that I'm pregnant. Nor does she have any respect for my attempts to obtain privacy in the bathroom. So, more than once I've been hanging over the toilet while she stands in the doorway and tries to get my attention.
@tigerlily2015 - Its really typical to get out of breath even early in pregnancy. I've forgotten exactly why - something to do with the increased blood flow?
@jcar2 - I'm always reading that brown isn't a big deal, but I know its got to be tough. Hang in there.
@racegurl87 - I'm with you on the lack of appetite. I'm not too sick during the day, unless I try to eat anything substantial. And starting around dinner time, I'm really sick, so its been toast, a peach and mint tea for dinner every night. (After I gag my way through finding something reasonable for my kid to eat. I really wish my husband got home earlier!) Last night I couldn't even keep that down.
@footprint - don't forget to tell us how you're doing!

I hate when I have something weird and I think, that's that then! Ugh. Such negative thinking is exhausting. I suppose it is our way of protecting ourselves from the worst kind of new, but I really want to be happy and worry-free! I am sorry you are at the beginning of your loss milestone. Sending big ((hugs)) your way. Does your four year old still nap?

Worries (rational or irrational): I worry about everything. Eating, physical activities, every twinge might as well be the beginning of big cramps. There's no turning it off.
Appointments scheduled: My first appt isn't until 7/31. So far away.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates: We discovered a problem at 7w5d last time, but I've already passed the point where the baby stopped growing and I try to tell myself that I have no reason to think this one isn't growing away in there right now. My D&C was at 9 weeks exactly which is inconveniently when my first appointment is scheduled this time.
QoTW: What has been the weirdest part of being pregnant so far? I'm not sure there's a weirdest part at this point. I hate the keeping it a secret part. We are vacationing with my in-laws this weekend and I really want to tell them, but I know my H will vote to wait.
Thanks for asking about the running. I'm still doing nothing until my first OB appt.

I am sorry that you are worrying about everything. Is there anyway you can move your OB appt closer?
Married August 2003
EDD/Week/Fruit: 2/16/2015 9w 1d green olive
Worries (rational or irrational): I worry that I will get to the ultrasound and will be told some awful news. I'm actually really scared of being told that my period is just really, really late and all my pg symptoms were psychosomatic.
Appointments scheduled: my first OB appt went well. My NP said that I feel around nine weeks pregnant when she did the internal. She also told me to not have sex, which I'm on the fence about. I mean, if it was so important to not have sex, why is she just telling me at 8 weeks? Idk. Had an obstetrics blood panel drawn yesterday. They changed my due date from 2/16 to 2/13 but I charted so I know when I ovulated. And my dating u/s is Thursday at noonish.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates: my EDD was last Friday. I made it through that ok.
QoTW: What has been the weirdest part of being pregnant so far? I have been having middle of the night insomnia which I hate, but I find it so weird because I am so completely exhausted all of the time!

@footprint thanks for the checkin
BFP #2: m/c at 7w, February, 2014
BFP #3: It's a BOY! Please be our rainbow! Due February, 2015
*everyone always welcome*
@akleng welcome!! yay!!
@Mom2anAngel2 I think that since we don't have a 2T check in and you don't want to be with your BMB that you should stay with us awhile if that's where you feel most comfortable.

Worries (rational or irrational)
The Doppler has been amazing to have and has alleviated a lot of my stress. Currently, I'm stressing about my diet. Honestly, I just eat what I want to, but I haven't gained any weight and I feel like I should have with twins.
Appointments scheduled
@footprint yes! Two days!! I'm so excited. I can't wait to see them again!! I'm feeling a lot better. Much less nausea, but the exhaustion has kicked it up a notch.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
I have passed all of my milestones, which is an amazing feeling. I always repeat to myself that today I am the most pregnant I've ever been.
QoTW: What has been the weirdest part of being pregnant so far?
Even though I'm not any bigger and haven't gained any weight, I can't sleep on my stomach. I feel like there are rocks under my belly. So odd. Like it's getting hard. So strange.
DH asked me today if I liked being pregnant. I said I am a 7 on a scale of 1-10. I love it but it's super strange.
And now, a pic of my dogs. Because they always make me smile. That's all.
I haven't really gained any weight either but have a huge bump/bloat. No one else can tell I am pregnant, but man I feel like my belly exploded up and out! I thought I would have more time!
Married August 2003
Hi ladies! This is a short update since I'm insanely tired being in week 8 and having a three week old preemie in the house since Thursday! Our little A is amazing and wonderful and we were so in love from the very first moment we saw her. I can't believe I only get a week off work.
I'm 8w2d today and had my intial appointment with my OB who will take me through this pregnancy. He's awesome, my friends didn't lie to me!
Had an u/s and our little minion is right on track.
I'm too tired to be worried about much...just need to remember to feed myself these days.
wierdest part of this pregnancy is my rotating food aversions, they very hour to hour.
I'm hoping to get back in the loop with you ladies soon, I'm just having problems staying awake these days!!
PS: lesson learned this week...I know why women get 9 months and not 48 hours to have a baby!
Nov'12- Started TTC
Sept-Dec'13- HSG, 2 IUI's, DX PCOS
Jan '14- IUI#2=BFP!!
Mar '14- M/C @ 8w2d when I should've been 9 weeks. D & C 3/7/14
May'14- Started Pregnitude
June'14- BFP! (Naturally!!) Beta #1 (4w2d)=78, Beta #2 (4w4d)=219, Beta #3 (5w0d)=785
EDD/Week/Fruit
2/18/15, 9w, olive
Worries (rational or irrational)
Fear of a mmc. My loss was a blighted ovum, but it wasn't discovered until 9w5w.
Appointments scheduled
None in the near future, but I had a wonderful us last week showing a beautiful blob with a HB.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
Knowing there is a baby with a HB puts us past our loss milestone.
QoTW: What has been the weirdest part of being pregnant so far? Changes in my body that are so obvious to me and DH, but clearly not to anyone else.

I cannot imagine what you are going through! I am really happy for you and your family. It sounds like things are going well - crazy and hectic, but well. I am happy that you like your OB, too.
