this is a soonerhusband question! does he routinely give pain meds AND sedation to babies on an oscillator? we had a debate on this last night and I need to know what other neo's do!!!!!!
He says-- it depends. If they are older, it is more likely they may need sedation. If less than 30 weeks, may not need sedation at all.
If they are on oscillator, they often have other conditions they will need pain medicine to address. But if they are just on the oscillator and don't have obvious pain, he doesn't give pain mess just because he is putting them on the oscillator.
Love it! It is a derivation of my dad's, grandfather's and great-grandfather's names. And my middle-name is a fifth generation name, always passed down to the first born girl.
We spent six days in a 30 person lake house on Grand lake in Colorado. Loved spending time with my amazing extended family, who I pretty much adore!! Lots of laughing, hiking, paddleboating, eating and competitive board games. My kind of vacation!
If you could be invisible, who would you spy on and why?
Superpower--time travel to a secret room where I could read for hours on end and take long naps while it is raining outside, and then return and it is like no time has passed in te real world!
Alternatively, the ability to understand and communicate in any language I come across.
I would hang out in the UN/EU buildings in all the committee meetings, listening to the inner workings of the world political scene.
Hypothetical scenario: You are running for president, what are your top 3 campaign promises?
Universal healthcare.
Better public schools for all and easier access to low interest student loans (with sufficient education to ensure students don't over borrow and set themselves up for future financial problems)
Massive campaign finance reform and completely transparent donations. No more slush funds or super PACs
Now, if my toddler were answering that question, the answer would be this morning. After a round of showers and laundry, I have almost, almost gotten over it!
Hypothetical: Your house is on fire and your family and pets are safe. You have time to save 3 material possessions, what do you save?
My family picture albums and childhood family videos.
My childhood stuffed rabbit that I slept with every night from age 2 to 10.
Boxes of our kids' special trinkets (like hospital ankle bands), cards and drawings, etc.
(I was going to say our fossil collection--but I am pretty sure those bad boys would be safe in the fire. They have survived a lot more in the last 100 million years!)
Since your name is Sooner I'm going to assume you are from or currently live in Oklahoma. How far are you from SE KS?
I live in Iowa right now--will almost certainly move back someday! My husband's family is from NE Oklahoma, so i am very near SE Kansas several times a year!!
Where in NE OK? I grew up in SE KS and I am always back there!
Is your H an attending or a fellow, I forget? Does your H find House of God hilarious or repulsive? Did his opinion of the book change throughout his medical career?
If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? What about your husband?
I would want to be less of a type a perfectionist.
This is going to sound ridiculously cheesy, but I honestly can't think of a major thing I would want to change about my husband. Maybe a little more help with laundry?
I have never colored my hair. But through viewing family videos at my family reunion this weekend, I discovered that I used to wear my hair in ponytails with a skinny headband all. the. time.
So not adventurous. I am a lawyer at one of our state's largest firms. I have to be careful re: public stuff that may result in criminal charges!
I completely understand. When I was doing law school/application for the Bar, etc. I pretty much felt like all of the fun was being sucked out of my life, and I was being watched! Practicing on a small scale has perks!
Did you deliberately skip several questions on page three, or was it an accident? Follow-up, if deliberate, was it because you are keeping your Gilligan's Island line-up a secret?

My parents are both into genealogy

I have strong opinions and am not universally liked. Oh well... Not going to lose too much sleep over it
