  • @beernifer they are called rash guards because surfers wear them to protect from a board rash, but I guess the name still carries to babies because they look the same. #iknowallthethingstoday ;)

    Do they not do shots at 9 months? I called the office asking, and the receptionist didn't know, but didn't think they did...but all my friends said they do...

    I pumped and pumped so I would have a freezer stash... But my baby won't take a bottle so it's just going to waste... I tried to donate it, but they won't take it because my baby is over 6 months. So I just feel guilty about it and haven't been away from my baby for more than an hour and a half in 9 months.

    have you tried it in a sippy cup or cup with a straw?  You could always use it for other things, too.  Like mixing it in with purees or oatmeal/cereal.  Or make some face lotion for yourself with it.  lol  I just made that last one up, but I'm sure someone's probably tried it at some point.

    My fffc stems from an UO yesterday: i always thought the products made by Summers Eve were to rectify a downstairs issue/ for women who NEEDED freshening up.

    The more you know.....

    @huntjul Use your stash, that's what it's for! You won't produce more if you're all stressed about it and stressed with work on top of it. Stress is a mf, maybe try adding lots of healthy high calorie snacks? Avocado, pb, walnuts, etc. Also eat oatmeal with 1 or 2 TB flaxmeal sprinkled on every morning, this helped me a lot. Eta: I'd make a huge pot of regular oatmeal for the week and refrigerate. I'd add a splash of milk, nuke it, and then add the flax right before eating it. Easy peasy, you could even do it at work.
    That's effing brilliant.

    @bkeane619‌ I was told no shots at 9 months. And as I learned it it's 2, 4, 6, 12, 15, 18 and 24 for immunizations. Then you know 4-6 years. So on....https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/hcp/imz/child-adolescent.html

    They can do the 3rd hep and ipv at 12 months.

    If you did the first hep shot in the hospital, that would mean we are done with that one right?
    No you get 3. So one at birth, one at 2 months and a third around 12 months. But according to the cdc you can get it bet 6-15 months.

    Hmmmm I feel like they held off on something because she was so small. #t&pplease

    I was told DD wouldn't have shots at 9 months. She was 5 pounds at birth. Maybe your doctor is pacing them out differently. I always ask for a copy of what was done and it lists when each shot is due next.

    @jgslr @layali @huntjul sorry---flax seed on oatmeal doesn't work well, because flax is an extremely hard shelled....seed thing. it usually passes right through your system...it works better when it's ground up so that your body can actually process it. put it in smoothies, if you want to up your flax intake.

    @huntjul i also had OS, and ended up supplementing for my dd when i got pregnant..she was over 1, so it's a little different...but i know what you mean. dipping into freezer stash is scary. good luck. PM me if you want.

  • Ground flax seed on oatmeal is A+ though
    yes! the original suggestion was "you could do it at work" though...so that makes it more difficult. unless i suppose you grind it first, bring it to work..i guess that works.
