I'll share a couple pins. Theme is a teddy bear picnic, I love the vintage inspiration for this invite, plan to use red/teal accents, and make this yummy chocolate cake!

So, since there will pretty much only be adults there it will be an adult party featuring a baby. I am going with coral/pink/gold and lots of chalkboards. Already started the invitations.

Well, so far I am planning to have a "Make your own state fair food entry" for anyone who wants to participate, then people will vote on the best and the winner will get some sort of prize. And of course Frito Pie as a main dish.

I haven't really figured it all out yet, but should be fun.

Edit to say: DH actually came up with the idea.

are you trying to do it on anything other than a desk top computer? Sometimes I have that problem when I'm on from my tablet.

@anamouse, teddy bear picnic theme is adorable. I am sorry for your DH that he never had that joy as a kid. (I still remember our Teddy Bear Picnic in kindergarten).

I always overestimate my baking abilities. Every. Time. I would do a test run a few weeks before to see if you are able to work with the fondant. I hope you have success because that would be amazingly cute.

My friend made a marshmallow fondant that she said was really easy to work with.

I think i'm doing Olivia's Onederland (Olivia the pig theme). All red black and white. Currently I'm thinking I'm going to use "Olivia's Rules of Life" to set up the party.

Rule of life #8 Never miss an important party.

#7 Whatever the question, costumes are always a good answer.

for like a little photo area with cute hats and headbands for parents to take pictures with/of their kids

#65 For some reason, headbands make you feel faster

I'm thinking of making headbands with pig ears attached for anyone who would like to really get into the theme

I as well have never heard of Teddy Bear Picnic but will look at that link. I love the vintage looking invites.

I am always one for planning and having a good party. Since we are Halloween nuts and got married on Halloween it's always a good reason to have one. I was so sad last year we didn't since we were baby zombies. Anyways...

I went back and forth on a Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin theme but decided I want to save that for when they are older and can appreciate it and get into it themselves. So now I'm not sure if I'll have a theme or just a hodge podge of ideas.

This is why we are not really having a theme. I figured there are lots of years for themes and they will be funner when she understands them. Everyone knows this party is for me anyway. So, I am going with a "mommy theme".
