Rants/raves/chart stalks: This part of the cycle is soooo boring
GTKY: If you could do things over again, would you choose a different profession? If so, what? I love the medical industry and I am so glad that I am an RN. If I was younger and had more time I think I would go back to school to be a pharmacist. Drugs and their effect on the human body fascinates me.

What are you doing to get pregnant? OPK, PNV, EOD sex even though having sex this often is making me want it more, CM, Temping, gallon of water a day
Rants/raves/chart stalks: Nothing as of now but we are heading to Chicago next week for an event and I'm not sure how its going to effect my temps since there will be a 2 hour time difference.
GTKY: If you could do things over again, would you choose a different profession? If so, what? right now I really enjoy what I do since I get to work from home but I probably would have gone to medical school if I had a do over, and right away after highschool.
What are you doing to get pregnant? was just boning EOD for a couple of weeks. But today, taking the thermometer out of the amazon box its been sitting in for a month. Time to get serious.
Rants/raves/chart
stalks: This is the first CD 1 that stung. I usually get really bad cramps for a few hours before my period starts, and a zit or two. So I thought I was either pregnant or off of my regularity, so when AF just showed up like BAM! HEYGIRLHAAAAAY!" it was the first time I've felt like "oh, bummer" and had a sad. On to next cycle though, I'll be optimistic tomorrow when my death cramps are gone.
GTKY:
If you could do things over again, would you choose a different
profession? If so, what? I would choose the same profession, but I would have gotten started earlier. I started off in nursing school and it wasnt for me, and at the same time had an awful relationship that threw me for a major loop. I'm delayed, and feel like I had a few years of being a dud.
Ok, it's now Wednesday AM in Aus, I put in today's temp (open due to lack of consistent sleep) and I get CHs for the first day of pos OPK? Dummy temps don't move the O date either. Any thoughts ladies? Do you agree or disagree with FF?
@nevertoomanyshoes if you take away your pos opk and your ewcm does it go away? The rise in temps doesn't seem very gradual to be called an o day but it lines up with your secondary signs. Do you temp orally? Your temps seem kind of eratic.
@nevertoomanyshoes yah thats a tough one, maybe leave them out and see if you get the CH tomorrow without it. When in doubt hump it out like they say on here.
@PenguinMG - Glad to have company on the crazy train!!
@acire86 - I haven't thought of hens but that's not a bad idea! After reading a bunch about culling, I'm sad every time I eat an egg because I know the fate of the male chicks...so this might be just the ticket for getting me some eggs! Do they require lots of space? I'm assuming not since you are in the city?
@beepity - Funny you should ask...I actually start an FNP program in September! I think I'm going to love it! Are you an NP, CNM or PA?
@delujm0 - OPKs are such a cluster eff...I know that for some people they gradually get darker or blink for daaayyysss, some also have a "fake out" LH surge which can cause a positive, then neg, then positive again. Others, just go positive for the day they O. I wish it was a one-size-fits-all deal.
@mrsberg9282013 - I'm happy to hear you like the mabis - I'm thinking of getting one as well as it takes forever to get my oral temps...I'm going to start vaginal temping next month and I want something quick and easy up there...plus, I can guarantee I'll fall asleep if it doesn't read quick and most days I'll be likely to wake up with a thermometer sticking out of my vag!
@nevertoomanyshoes - this is tricky. I'm with you on not wanting to remove hard data. I say leave it and see what happens to your temps tomorrow. I'd also keep using OPKs in case your body gears up to O and actually does in a few days (assuming this temp spike isn't maintained and you didn't O)
@TrampsLikeUs - Sorry for CD1, that sucks. I also changed careers and wish I had done it sooner...I have felt a few years behind my friends/peers for quite a while and I'm just catching up financially...oh well, better now than later, right?
