I'll see if I can find one @bay511. Also I bought out Michaels' clearance Valentines decor with the intent of having a Queen of Hearts themed area, but I ran out of time and didn't get to do that. Oh and I covered foam board with black and white damask fabric, then glued playing cards all around the border for a photo backdrop.
This is probably not relevant to the conversation anymore but I have a bunch of the Ugly Doll stuff from Finn's first birthday if your looking for "Monster" stuff. It is adorable.
@bay511 I found one! This is just one of four sections. It wasn't a great mural; my mistake was I just started painting with no sketches or drafts done first. Lesson learned.

I have never ever not once done a themed birthday party for any of my kids. & now I feel like MOTY after reading the last few pages of this post.
We usually do a get together at the house & either do pizza or BBQ. I don't even do seperate smash cakes for their 1st. I just give them a piece of the cake & let them go to town. We invite family & friends & do a free for all of fun for the kids (so basically a big playdate, with cake & ice cream). DD1 is in mid September, so it is usually a pool/water party type, although she is growing out of actual birthday parties (13 this year) & wanting to do more "take me & my friends here" birthday outings. DD2 is 2 days after Christmas & even getting people together at the house proves challenging most years. & DS is late February, so the weather is a crap shoot & hes just 2, so really doesn't get the concept of "its my birthday" yet anyways.
My birthday is late June, so I've always told my winter babies that I would share my celebration day with them & let them pick fun things to do on that day.
Omg this day just hit the shitter. So we lost power last night but got it back around 11. DH keeps DS home on Tuesdays. They leave for the store, come home to no power. Can't get in the house because we don't carry house keys, just open our electric garage door (lesson learned). So, they're locked out. Perfect. DH calls and electric co says it will be out until MIDNIGHT. They don't know why it's out or what's being done to fix it. Lovely.
DS is 1DAF

Yes...having also gone to HS and college and both grad schools (do I sound snobbish yet) in Connecticut as well - land of the pretentious - never had I heard this "giftie" term before.
More than one grad school sounds like a special kind of torture.
-My son was born in April 2012. He pretty much rules.
We spent a couple hours on the beach, but it is really hot today and super windy. Everyone's umbrellas were blowing away and all I could do is envision being impaled by one. Ours even blew away and I screamed "shit" loud enough for the entire beach to hear me. Everyone looked at me like :-O
I don't know why they had to get attitudes. I just wanted everyone to be sure not to get killed by our umbrella.

I need a sugar daddy that will pay my bills for me in exchange for weekly boob pics.
Shit, I'd send daily boob pics for that.
But how do you keep it fresh and interesting every day? I would need that week in between to brainstorm my next pic. Week one: wet tshirt boobs. Week two: whipped cream boobs. By Week 6 it would be...boobs wearing sombreros? Boobs dripped in ranch? Sweaty post-workout boobs? The art would be gone.
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!?!??!?! DH's cousin just posted a really graphic picture on facebook of people hanging. I couldn't hit my unfollow button quick enough. why the eff would you post something like that?

I mean, not every single one has to bring the WOW factor, but you can definitely make them different.
So Finn has the beginning stages of pneumonia. They did a chest x-ray and took blood work (that was...horrible). Prescribed amoxicillan and now we just have to wait for the blood work to come back to see if there is anything else.

Fuckity fuckity fuck.
((Hugs)) poor little one. I hope the amoxicillin works quickly
Thanks ladies. I just want to go home a snuggle him but must work for a few hours. We have spent 7 hours in the doctors office in the last week... all in the middle of a work day.
My mom was taking him home to watch a movie and veg out. (and hopefully sleep)

I'm sorry! Glad your mom can help out so that you can work a little. I hope the medicine helps and he recovers quickly!
