I'm glad this thread got resurrected! I didn't plan a special "going home" outfit for DD, but had planned on putting her in one of the adorable outfits we had for her. But, preemie size etc, she ended up going home in a preemie-sized sleeper (and since I had to buy them in a rush, none of them were all that cute IMO).
I want to get something cute for this little dude, but it won't be a keepsake or anything. I just feel bad that I haven't gotten him any clothes yet, just one onesie. I'll probably do a set like the one @knovitski posted (loved those for DD, so versatile), but I'll get it closer to my due date when we can guesstimate if he's going to be huge or not. I don't want to buy sizes we won't use.

I had one for DD but I was so tired leaving the hospital that I didn't put it on her, I did good getting clothes on myself. I found this one and told DD she could give it to her little brother and she really excited about it, hopefully this time I will be able to function better.
@ambershaw512 I love it!! My LO's room theme is all dinosaur, so every single time I've found any clothes in a dinosaur theme, I've snapped them right up!

I got it from Carter's, you can look on the website or see if its a store close to you, and it was like $10
It is pretty much always still hot here in September. So I got our LO this set. I am loving seahorses and nautical theme outfits.
I've totally been snatching up all the nautical clothing that's on clearance! So cute!
Still not sure what to do about a coming home outfit...I'm thinking I'll pack something newborn sized and something that's 3 months just in case she's the big baby they're claiming she is.

Top one gets my vote! They're all cute, why don't you take two a newborn and a 0/3 mo?
Top one was pretty much what I decided to go with until someone said something about putting my girl in blue on her first day out. I'm generally not a pink person, and have clothes in all sorts of colors ready for her to wear. I don't like the idea of blue being for boys and pink for girls. But I don't want everyone thinking she's a boy right off the bat either lol
It'll likely be ridiculously warm here too and all I've decided on is a romper. I'll probably get white socks and either a short sleeve onesie to go under or a cardigan (to give her sleeves). I plan on making a headband with matching colors.

It's going to happen regardless lol. dD was 9 months old in a pink outfit and her pink car seat with a purple ballet slipper paci and a big bow on her head and some older couple kept saying how cute "he" was I finally had to correct them after several times. Like hello your not that old. It even happened with an old coworker, she knew I had a girl but bc I had a multicolored blanket on her with a lot of blue (even tho it had pink) she asked if my baby was a boy or girl like wtf?!? So it will happen..
MIL and I picked out a cute yellow duck sleeper from Gap for LO that matches the duck quilt MIL made, but the size says up to 7 lb...not sure what I was thinking since DD was around 9 lb. It'll be too hot to use DD's going home outfit, but I have bought a couple cute newborn and 3 month size rompers from Kohl's that maybe I'll take with as backups.
My mom insisted on buying this for her going home outfit. I'll prob have to pull it up for the car seat or I'll just add some pink leggings..however I live in Miami so it will definitely be hot out!
We are taking them home in the onesies with matching pants in the pic attatched. Minus the stupid photoshopped numbers the girl who took our pictures felt the need to add. That is if all goes well and we don't need any preemie clothes! I already have my bag packed so I didn't want to unpack it! We do have a few preemie onesies packed just in case.
As of right now these are the two going home outfits I have to pick from. It's still pretty warm in Arkansas in September but just in case I have a cute monogram sleeper as well.
No worries! I had planned to bring DD home swaddled, then realized, duh, can't get the carseat straps in there...
I messaged the etsy seller to see if she can make it in a onesie. Then I can just get a pair of white pants to throw over it. Etsy seller has not responded after two messages- definitely not getting my order!!!!

Bummer, are there any different sellers that have a similar product?
Baby girl will be coming home in this, I have pants with feet that match the cardigan too, because in Michigan you just never know.
Almost bought this one but hubby wanted the green one I got instead. Cute!
And to the other topic, I am so paranoid about etsy purchases based on what I've heard on the bump! Lol
