I need to start this one.

Dh is sick. Again. We think it's strep, and he's already acting like a baby a completely helpless. So now I have a man-child to take care of in addition to my baby.

I also have what I believe is a clogged duct and a pump that refuses to work.

It's gonna be a LONG ass day.

Our neighbors were shooting fireworks in the middle of the street at 10:00 last night! I had to go out and ask him to stop because I had a sleeping baby. I also reminded him that it was against the law. The guy was a total asshole, but at least he stopped.

I've posted about how my parents coddle my sister before. She now wants to quit her job because working and studying for the Navy test is too hard. She also convinced my parents to pay for a tutor, when she refuses to study on her own because "the stress makes her sick". She is 22!

Good lord. At 22, pay for your own damned life. I lived at home but paid rent. And paid for all of my expenses.

I have one more - I was a spaz yesterday and banged my thigh into the bed frame. Hard. I have a nice raised black and blue mark forming there about the size of a golf ball - right where your elbow fits when you lean on your thigh.

DD has croup so DH and I spent all night alternating between putting her back to bed and putting the baby back to bed since her coughs and cries kept waking him up. I hate croup. HATE it.

@Saisongbird Ugh I hate man colds !!

Mine is: Im so so so so so tired of people telling me how to raise MY child ! I will put her in her crib when I'M ready, I will feed her solids when I'M ready, I will believe she has a dairy allergy / AND OR dairy intolerance because that's what HER pedi told ME !

Also for you not in the FB group I'll share my vent from Saturday. we were at my moms for a fourth cookout / pool party . Harper had been super fussy all day . I had her sitting in my lap while I was eating my banana pudding . My mom says " give her some of that banana pudding let her try it ". I said no no way I'm not ready for all of that yet . My mom then tells me " well she likes yogurt oh and she loves Ice cream we've shared it a couple times ". As some of you know my mom watches LO 3 days a week while I ...work . I was infuriated by this comment ! LO has a dairy allergy which is why she's on soy and nutrimagen formula , she can't handle milk based . So I tell me my mom " you know she can't have that because of her allergy ". She said " well I think that's BS there's no way this baby has a dairy allergy ". I didn't even know what to say at that point !

This explains probably why she's been so fussy some afternoons when I being her home and why she's gone 3 days+ without pooping . If she could handle milk based formulas I wouldn't be shelling out 80 bucks a week in formula !

Sorry so long it just kind if rubbed me the wrong way , not only for the fact of it being Ice cream and yogurt but for the fact she's robbed me of my experience to see her eat " solids " for the first time !

@tsmith312, thats not cool at all, I'm sorry your mom did that. I can see my stepmom giving her solids before six months or rice cereal when I tell her not to. I don't get why they can't think back to when they were new moms and how much they wouldn't have wanted these things done.

My BF, LO had a bad diaper rash last week, desitin helped but it still hung around for a bit so I got some California baby diaper cream since we love the shampoo. It made it worse, and my stepmom kept saying she's worried she's just now reacting to her soy formula she's been on since 2 weeks old or maybe the problem is the tap water we mix her formula with since my dad uses bottled water. Yeah, I suppose those two things COULD cause issues but when she got all red when I used a different diaper cream andgot better when I stopped, i think its safe to assume thats what it was. I just hate being second guessed when its MY kid.

I'm going to jump on the I'm tired of people telling me how to raise my daughter band wagon!

So my grandmother is adamant that I need to start supplementing with formula! Grant it she is small, but her pediatrician has not once said she was concerned. My grandma is just very anti breast feeding...but it pisses me off because I'm already self conscious about dds weight (random people always comment on how small she is)

Also according to my sister I feed Evie too often and need to start letting her cio. Ugh can you tell my family is nosey? The only plus is my mom is so supportive of bf and me in general she tends to put my family in their place!

@tsmith312‌ I 2nd the vote to find an alternate babysitter for your 3 days. Unless you can guarantee that your LO won't be getting fed what you don't want LO to get. My MIL used to (well, still does) give DS1 things we said no to. She feeds it to him, then tells/asks after. Grrr.

@saisongbird‌ pocket hand warmers before feeding/pumping. Way more practical than a hot shower. Also masage as you go. I have one boob that gets hard in a spot every so often and that helps

I have another one, every pharmacy in my area is on back order of ds 1 main medication. He is all over the place I feel so bad for him but there isn't anything that I can do about it.

my dad came down last weekend saying he had allergies, not to worry. Well come monday I was sick. I can take very little since im still BF and im scared to death to reduce my supply. Although I did break down and take nyquil one night.

This morning, DH tells me he is getting sick now. After lysoling everything every night and washing my hand religiously, etc. Worst part is he was feeling bad yesterday but didn't tell me and proceeded to drink like 12 beers over the course of the day. I am sure that helped. Moron. So now I am STILL recovering (barely able to sleep with lingering cough) and DH won't take care of himself well enough to stay healthy. I feel a man cold coming on.

I'm on the don't tell me how to raise my child bandwagon too this week. While I know it's with good intentions you make me feel like a crappy mom, crappy wife. I know I am neither of the two.

I also hate HATE when people don't understand depression / anxiety. No I CANT just stop worrying about things and you constantly telling me I need to stop just makes things worse

I poured rain from 4am until 11:30.
It's such a wonderful 'fresh' smell now.
I'm happy that it has cooled down enough to open the windows and shut off the A/C for the day.

Our deep freezer shorted out last night during the storm when our lights kept flickering. We lost all of my breast milk, our farm raised butchered hog, and 14 rabbits as well as some chickens. I am beyond pissed. Now I feel like a year worth of raising our our food was wasted! Thankfully our back up freezer is ok. The backup freezer is pushing 10 years old and the dead freezer isn't even a year old wtf!

@tsmith312‌ that's got to be a hard situation for you, being that it is your mom who watches LO for you. She needs to respect you though and not feed baby anything other than the formula u pack. They always think Just because they could do all that when we were little and we grew up fine that its ok, but its not at all...and the fact that LO has a dairy intolerance and she knows that but has still went on giving her yogurt and icecrean I'd be really upset and you are right that's probably why she has seemed different and had a hard time pooping. My LO does the same @angelsnight‌ there's no way that the formula or tap water are causing it. Imo. Especially since your LO has been on it since 2 weeks old. My BITCH, dS1 has been so sick to his stomach throwing up all night sat and all day yesterday. Today he's doing much better! Now DD, is laying on the couch this am complaining about her stomach hurting.. (please no more puke) DH has done nothing to help me with LO while the older two kiddos havnt been feeling good. I'm about to loose my mind. I'm litteraly exhausted and for the past 3 days feel like a single parent to 3 kids.. there's 3 of them and one of me and LO still doesn't sleep more than 2&1/2 hr stretches at night...aahhqqqhh sorry had to get that bitch out... and its only MONDAY

@ProudMommy030614. I am SO sorry! I would cry if I lost all my frozen milk, and I don't have a huge amount frozen. We lost power for an hour one day about 2 weeks ago and I was panicking.

I feel for you mamas who have family telling you what lo needs...so irritating! And I can't believe those who would feed your lo things lo shouldn't have. Totally crossing the line!!! wow!

I don't have anything juicy, but here it goes anyway:

1) today is Monday. ef you Monday. and take your friends Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with ya. Friday before 5 pm can eff off too.

2) pumping sucks..pun intended! lol! I hate that it takes so long. I don't mind doing it since lo needs it and it's good for him, but come onnnnnnn boobies! lets get this done in 5 mins instead of 20. k thanks.

3) It was a 4th of july miracle - lo slept through the night last night (930-7) and the night before (1030-9!!!!) yay! but I'm still tired. waaaah. why am I so exhausted?

4) my friend is having an awesome party this weekend at her cabin on the lake - brewery tours with a party bus followed by a party at the cabin. SO excited! on the flip side, the cabin is 2 hrs away from home and I'm going to be staying sober enough to drive home that night because I'm not comfortable leaving lo for the night yet. I totally trust my SIL and MIL, but I just don't like the idea of leaving him especially since he's not sttn most nights yet. also, pumping is going to be awkward. yay pumping in a cabin filled with drunk dudes

5) dh and bil have planned a weekend at one of my fav camping spots at the end of this month. I told dh I might mayyyyyyybe consider staying overnight 1 night, but he wants to do at least 2 nights since it's a far drive. I understand and normally we do 2+ nights but I am SO NOT leaving lo for more than just one night. I'll be staying home. sucks because I'd love to go and dh has almost 0 vacation days left until he earns more later this year.

I tried mail order but because it's a controlled substance and we need a hard script every month it was a problem. We are taking him to the psych dr tomorrow so we can explore other medication options.

We had a diagnostic test scheduled for our dog scheduled for tomorrow that the vet's office just called and cancelled. This poor baby has been getting increasingly sicker for almost a year. We have done countless tests, tried a ton of medications and diet changes, and we have really worked our lives to make sure he gets all the rest and companionship he now needs. They were supposed to be testing him for something that we really think could be the answer. We just want so desperately for our little guy to be healthier and happier and we are at the end of our rope. The whole process has been so emotionally exhausting and I am so irritated that we have to wait more.

All store get 'special size' cases (or packs) of diapers for a good price periodically. They're usually referred to as 'special buy'.
Target, Walmart, Toys R Us....
After they are sold out, without a receipt, they usually will not take them back.
And...they continually change the size package of the 'special buy'.

I'd either try to sell to someone privately or wait til the store gets them in that count again and exchange at that time. (Maybe check other stores in your area...)

A friend's brother has complained frequently about money troubles...to his family, friends, on Facebook...

Then he posts about going out for dinner with his family of 6 to a nice restaurant (several times in the last couple months), setting up a $500 pool from Walmart and getting water delivered to fill it ($300), going to the bars almost every weekend, and spending money all the time.

His family is getting really pissed off with him.
I'm getting pissed because if it were ME, and I was having money problems, I'd be saving my money...
I know this guy...we aren't actually friends...but I know him, and I want to kick.his.ass!!'

So MIL knows I'm not happy about having to give LO formula supplements when I wanted to EBF. And yet the other day she says "I'm so glad he's taking his bottles so good" and then says "oh it's good LO is finally getting some meat on his bones". Gee glad to know you thought my son was too skinny. Not every baby has to be chubby, some are long and skinny. Please think before you speak and even though you don't see it as a big deal that he has to have formula it is upsetting to me so be considerate and at least acknowledge my feelings please

LO had a rough day so I didn't make it to the grocery store as planned. I texted DH and asked him to bring home dinner right around the time he usually leaves work. He calls me an hour and a half later to let me know that he's stopping at Home Depot and the cigar store before he stops and gets dinner at his favorite place that's 20+ minutes away. Ummm 'scuse me? It might be the hanger talking but run your stupid errands after I eat and get a little bit of a break!

DH's friend is in town and wants to come by and meet LO. DH said he would be here at 6:30, I offered to cook supper, but DH told me no...this friend tends to overstay his welcome. Well, neither DH or friend are here her!! It's after 7, I'm hungry, and am not up to cooking and cleaning after said friend leaves!! I don't want take out either because I just went to the grocery store!

Ugh, why can't people show up when they say they will?!

I know what's going to happen...DH and friend will get here, we will order take out, or I'll cook, friend will stay too late and I'll be stuck in the bedroom with LO. GRRR
