I've gained about 8 pounds. I feel like it's more or should be more. I'll be 22w tomorrow. I have only gained 2 pounds since 6/2 and I thought once you got into second tri you were supposed to gain a pound a week? I'm already "Pleasantly plump" though.
I've gained between 3-5 depending on the scale. Having said that, I started out fairly overweight, so I think this is normal for my body state pre-BFP.
I weighed myself this morning. I've gained 10 pounds (at 22 weeks) which I was actually a little disappointed with. I had only gained 4 pounds at 17 weeks and my OB said if I gain 5 by 20 weeks and 1 pound per week after then that would be perfect. Well I sort of took my little weight gain by 17 weeks as a license to indulge. Back to eating more healthfully!
Gee, does this poll make me look fat? I was up 17 lb at 17 weeks. I haven't stepped on the scale, but I'm guessing I'm 19-20 lb at 19 weeks. The thing is, I don't really FEEL fat (other than my thighs) and everyone keeps commenting how "small" I look or how I'm just getting a bump and not looking like I've gained anywhere else. I know I'm having twins, but the babies themselves don't weigh that much yet, so who knows?
I am just going for healthy, happy babies and if gaining weight now will help them I'm down with that.

I have gained about 10 lbs so far. I sort of wished I started a little lighter. This is the heaviest I've ever been and I'm starting to feel like a weeble-wobble!
I started at a normal weight and have been gaining on target. But it's all in the belly. I walked a lot yesterday and today my whole stomach aches, like I'm being stretched to the max and the baby is feeling droopy and heavy.
I need a prenatal massage stat. I wonder if my dad's bangin insurance plan covers that?
between 15-20 pounds gained so far. Dr scale has me up 19. All in the belly though, my belly is HUGE. Well, my boobs gained 2 cup sizes too.....so thats something.
Dr. measured my fundal height and said it was right where it should be. When I lay on my back though, my belly doesn't look that big. Its when I stand up. I am tired of people looking afraid for my life when I tell them I am not due until November.
Baby boy is supposedly measuring 6 days ahead, my belly is huge, but my fundal height is right on target.

I've read that with twins you're supposed to gain 24 pounds by 24 weeks, so I think you're doing really well! Remember that you babies will likely be here before ours so they'll have a little extra time to fatten up.
I was still down about 14 lbs at my last appointment; I'm guessing I'll have gained at least a few of those back at my appointment tomorrow, but I'm probably still down about 10 or so.
I seem to fluctuate lately between 10 and 13 lbs. I work out on typically 4 days/week, but I still feel like I've gained all the weight in my thighs and butt.
I've gained 2 lbs (I'm overweight to begin with) and my OB was very happy with my weight today. We were going over some stuff for gestational diabetes (I had an early screening and was diagnosed with it last week) and he even commented on how looking at my diet and blood sugar levels, that my GD is hormonal because I've clearly not been indulging.
@mander82 I'm in the same boat as you. Up between 15-20lbs depending on the day and I'm at 22w3d. Also up two, almost 3 cup sizes... trying not to stress about it since the midwives aren't worried.
I started on the low end of the normal BMI range and was up 12 lbs at 19w2d, so if I've gained a pound/week since I'd be around 16 lbs up now. But I'm gaining it all in my stomach so I look so much bigger than 23 weeks. Not complaining though, I'll take it!

@absolutelymaybe Have you read Dr. Barbara Luke's book 'When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets, or Quads'? It's a fantastic book; it was like my bible when I was pregnant with my girls. She recommends 24 pounds by 24 weeks--that was my goal and I hit it... It will become more difficult to consume that calories you and babies need the closer you get to delivery so it's important to pack on the pounds now, mama! Keep up the good work!!!!

@so72409 - Yes, actually. That was the FIRST book I read when we found out about the multiples at like 6 weeks. Honestly, it scared the crap out of me. I thought there was NO WAY I would be able to gain that much weight (especially when I had MS through the 1st and into the 2nd trimesters and food just sounded disgusting). But, somehow, I managed to gain. She's be so proud of me :-)

I voted "nada" but I was gaining a pound a month until I got sick about a month ago and lost it all to a net zero at my 20 week appointment. I have also in those last 2 weeks gone from barely-there-bump to daaaaaannnnnngg-she's-PREGNANT so I'm sure I'm up a pound or so by now anyway but I don't do scales myself, I do mirrors and self assessment. I won't know for sure until my next appointment - that's just a guess based on how I look.
@absolutelymaybe Oh yah, that book scared the crap outta mel!! I remember bawling to DH thinking there was no way I was going successfully carry twins!! BUT-it was a really great motivator. I also had to step back from the book and remind myself to take everything in there with a grain of salt. Once I relaxed with things a little (I was keeping a food journal and everything!!) and used it as a guideline instead of the bible I was making it out to be, I was much better off.
Your 17 lbs is awesome!!! I'm super impressed and I'm sure Dr. Luke would be, too! FWIW, I ended up delivering my twins early at 34 1/2 weeks and had 5lb, 8 oz & 4lb, 10 oz babes. I was pretty darn proud of myself!
@so72409 - That's awesome! Did you have NICU time?
I'm hoping to make it to at least 36 weeks. DH was a small baby (4lb) and I wasn't huge (7lb), so I'm thinking my babies are going to be small no matter what.

I gained quite a bit of weight in the time period we were TTC (PCOS sucks ass when you're off birth control). I've only gained 4-5lbs so far, but since I started overweight I am pretty happy with that and my doctor wasn't concerned.

I lost 11 lbs during the first trimester and now I'm up 2 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight :-). I haven't been following it that closely to be honest. I figured if my MW still thinks I'm ok then I'm good.
N14 October Siggy Challenge: How I feel in the third trimester (especially when DH eats my pregnancy food)
I've been consistently 5lbs under my start of pregnancy weight. With my son I lost 15lbs in the beginning and started to rapidly gain baby weight later on. It's not because of m/s or anything, just because I'm already overweight.

I was normal weight before getting pregnant and had weighed the same for about 6 years. At 22 weeks I had gained 9 pounds, and at this point wish there was no such thing as the scale! I get that it's there for health reasons and to monitor mom's health but it stresses me out.
@mander82 and @Carebella I'm in your club. 21.5 weeks and I'm up between 20-25 lbs. I was just telling my mom on the phone, if I never weighed myself and was just going by how I looked/ felt, I wouldn't be stressing. So I'm not getting on the scale until my doc app Friday and we'll see how that goes!
That sounds about right for me too. Aside from my huge belly and boobs, I would never guess I am up almost 20 pounds already. I feel pretty normal aside from those areas. Someone told me today that some women gain a lot in the beginning and then stop gaining or slow way down. I am hoping that's the case for me. My sis gained 36, but she said she gained way more faster towards the end.

@absolutelymaybe Yeah, we were in the NICU for 12 days as feeders/growers. They were super healthy when born, though! Neither ever required any oxygen, sugars were good, never jaundice. Mady was the 4lb 10oz babe & didn't quite get the whole suck swallow thing at first, so her first feed was through NG, but by the next feed she had it figured out, so the NG was out by the end of day 1.
Avery, 5lb 8oz, was a "chugger" though and would drink so fast that she would forget to breathe! At day 5 she had her first episode of bradycardia (where O2 & heart rate drop due to lack of oxygen), while we were tandem nursing for the first time, no less! It was the scariest thing ever. Her monitors starting beeping like we hadn't ever heard before and I look down and she's blue! The nurses basically ripped both babies off of me because we didn't know what was happening. It took several days of us learning her 'signs of chugging' and how to pace her feeds. The NICU required 24 hours without a bradycardia episode, but because it was due to feeding (not spontaneous or during sleep, etc) we got discharged after DH & I felt confident that we could "handle it"! It's actually super common in babies, but most babies aren't hooked up to monitors to alert when it's happening! So she earned us about 7 of those 12 days!
We had such a fabulous NICU experience we were nervous to leave and do it on our own! I remember begging one of the veteran day shift nurses to come home with us because I didn't think we could do it without her. HA! We managed fine, of course...once we got into our own routine at home. It's crazy to think back to those first weeks home. It's going to be even crazier for us with only one baby this time!!

I started out a normal BMI (but on the higher end of normal). I weighed myself today and have gained 10.6 lbs (21 weeks tomorrow).
Same as @absolutelymaybe, though, people tell me I still look small except for belly, but I feel it in my thighs (and I'm NOT having twins).
