At 20 weeks I was up 15! I was shocked because it doesn't look like I've gained anything. I'm 22 weeks and people are still saying I'm really small! I guess the weight is in my boobs.....
As of today.. At 23w2d -- I'm up 16lbs. I've been on completely physical/exercise restriction this entire pregnancy so I'm gona blame that go my weight gain isn't too wild (yet) & I may or may not have totally failed on giving into every sweet tooth craving I had. I'm sure that's not gonna help the weight gain in the long run.
I'm down 15 lbs so far at 22 weeks. We will see what the doctor scale says next week. I don't feel any different but wouldn't be surprised if I gained some.
TTC #1 since November 2008
3 MC: #1 at 8wks (blighted ovum) opted for D&C, #2 at 6wks natural, #3 at 12wks (no heartbeat) opted for D&C.
EDD 11/11/2014..... Heard a heartbeat for the very first time at 8w2d and I couldn't be more excited!!! The fact that this LO has a heartbeat gives me hope that I may get to be a mother after all!!
I am at almost 20 weeks and I have gained 12 lbs this is my second child, my first pregnancy I gained 60 I was hoping to not gain so much this time around but I am feeling like I may gain more this time around and it's scary
I'm really really really hoping I'm one of those that gains a bunch in the beginning then stalls for awhile... I just don't see how I can maintain this trend! Neither my OB nor PCP are concerned, but that just hasn't helped me cope. I'm eating pretty well, staying active, drinking tons of water, and am not indulging in any fatty or sugary snacks, but still seem to just gain and gain.
I have gained 30 lbs at 22 weeks. I have never been sick. Don't feel pregnant besides my huge belly and feet that hurt after on them for about an hour and wanting to eat all of the time.
I was doing well - up 10 lbs at 20 weeks - and then we went on vacation. I was up 13.5 lbs at 21 weeks. Oops. But I haven't gained this week and we're eating a lot of veggies and fruit since we've been back.
I was +10 from my pre-pregnancy weight with DD (I gained 40 lbs with her), so I would really like to keep my weight gain to 30 lbs. The first 30 lbs really did just fall off after delivery. I was on the high end of normal BMI (seriously, like 24.9) and have no muscle this time around (with DD I was going to the gym regularly). It annoys me, but at the same time I know there's little I can do about it. I gained 2 lbs in water weight on the last day of my pregnancy. How can you avoid water weight?!
I dread stepping on the scale at my appts! All of my life I've tried to maintain a certain weight or lose a few pounds and watching the weight gain bothers me BUT we have to remember its for the baby I want LO to get all the nutrients she needs to grow and I'm fully aware that once in a while the cravings will win but as long as its in moderation I don't think its a big deal. I find it so much easier to control my eating when I'm NOT pregnant!! When I want something right now my mouth waters....
I was up 11 pounds from when I first went at 6 wks to my 20 wk visit. My Dr wasn't impressed.... But I don't feel like I've gained weight, I'm all belly.
I'm having twins as well and am in the same weight gain range as you I've been freaking out because I feel like it's too much, but it's really just my belly and everyone keeps telling me that from behind you can't even tell I'm pregnant. Glad to hear that someone else is in the same boat
I'm 5 foot nothing and already overweight (180 lbs) at a size 14. I'm a curvy girl and I had breast reduction about 8 years ago. I was CERTAIN I'd gain A LOT when I got pregnant, but I've actually MAGICALLY maintained my weight, even when I could've sworn I gained weight. The scale says I'm tottering in between 2 lbs, but when friends see me they say I look like I've lost weight (in my face HA!) and that I barely look pregnant when they look at my belly (gee thanks for making me feel like I'm just fat). And I'm coming on 21 weeks in the next couple days. Would kinda rock if I could maintain my weight until our little bug is born and they can take my excess lbs with them lol it would be the craziest way I've lost weight without even trying.
24 weeks and I've gained 20+lb. not sure exactly the weight, it fluctuates daily. I started under weight because I had my gallbladder out 3 weeks before i got pregnant. I don't feel like I've gained that much weight though. My bump is still small
