@steamboat123 - It can be so exhilarating!!!! When I hit mile 5.5ish on my 6.2 mile race on Friday ... I swear I could have performed a musical song and dance I felt so good. I totally get that running is not for some people though - DH is definitely against running, and I've quit fighting it.
@musicalsilver Bold City is my fav brewery, but Intuition is really good too
0.2miles apart from each other! ... this has potential! DH is still highly skeptical, as he says there is a beach 1.5hours closer to us if that's the main draw to FL ...

How terrible is quoting myself? I guess I'm just helping the post count on this relatively quiet holiday weekend.
@WasNotWas - Asheville has totally spoiled us, the fact that the local "brew" bus in Jacksonville only hits three breweries sounds quaint ;-) Also - the brew bus runs on Saturdays and I can't decide how bad it is that I'm considering touring three breweries and then running 5 miles!
@megsw85 - Jasper and Banff are both about 6-7 hrs away from you guys. If you are looking for day trips, there is the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village in Tofield (east of Edmonton). My step-sister worked there in university and it's actually kind of neat. Jasper and Banff are both about 6-7 hrs away from you guys. Tons to do at both places, Jasper is usually a little quieter than Banff though, tourist-traffic wise. I haven't been since I was a kid, but John Janzen Nature Centre in the Edmonton River valley was pretty fun for us as kids. They do nature walks and scavenger hunts through trails in the valley, little kids get to learn about different plant species and other things in nature. I'll come up with some more, just give me until tomorrow. My head is kind of slow tonight.
Awesome party and donuts! @numbersgirl08 My band name is. Pink dot pistachio! By the way, last night was sleep training day 1. Our pedi said it's time to teach him how to self soothe. It was horrible but he went to bed after 20-30 minutes of crying. He kept falling asleep standing and leaning on the crib rail crying for us (
I have the house completely to myself. I want to go back to bed but I am having guilt over the laundry that needs to be done and floors that need to be swept and mopped and the dishes that need to be put away...
Also @megsw85, the Fringe Festival is going on in Edmonton next month, which is always a fun time on/around Whyte. I realize most of these suggestions are edmonton based... I sort of went that route since it's what is closest to you for anything I can think of. If you guys want to overnight it somewhere I can definitely come up with some other ideas. Drumheller is always great for the kids, but IMO it would be better to save that for when you move to Red Deer since you'll be that much closer
@ChicagoChic82 I'm here! I've just been lurking more for this past week because I was feeling down and really didn't feel like contributing! But I am feeling much better today I was just in a funk basically.
@lioness13 sorry just seeing your question about my swollen lip, thanks for thinking about me. It did go down after about 4 or 5 days. I took a few benedryl but I have no idea if it was that or time that helped. It was horrible so I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again.
I have been on here very little this week and there are so many words to catch up on. L has gotten a really bad cold, we've been under a heat warning (which never happens here), he has a tooth coming in and he had 3 of his 12 month needles. On top of my returning to work this week it has not been a fun week in this house. Poor Daddy has had to deal with one cranky toddler all by himself.
Does anyone know what these little bumps might be? He's had them since yesterday afternoon time/evening (they aren't as red as they use to be.) They don't seem to bother him, but they're all over his body and I think it might now be going up his neck to his face...I plan on calling his pediatrician tomorrow if it's still there...But do you ladies have any ideas what it could be?
Also sorry for the picture quality and if it shows up upside down! It's a picture of his chest!
@libberluru I'm not sure... He's been in the house all day today....he's shirtless and we have the air conditioner on. Plus he doesn't feel hot...But just because he doesn't feel hot doesn't mean he isn't hot. So that's probably it.
Re: Girl you look good, won't you back that SPAM up

Also we are classy with the box wine tonight! I did have a Moscato with dinner, but box during Lone Survivor!

Ladies, I think I need a new wine. I love moscato and only drink that, but I'm looking to break out of my wine shell
