  I spent the morning doing post party cleanup then I opened all of KJ's gifts. Our friends and family were so sweet to her. Some even got gifts for us. So thankful for all the love we have in our life.

  J just left with my dad...there may have been a tear or two. He tried going til 5 instead of 4 and was instantly shot down by DH.

  So I'm not going to lie, I was hoping that when J was gone, I was going to be able to do things I couldn't when she was here(clean house, play a game, maybe a pedi on myself), but I took a deep 45min nap instead and DH and I went to the range to shoot our bows.

  My dad bought a bottle of this and gave some to J in her sippy cup...can she have some? He said she's been drinking it while they had her. We've just been giving her water and milk.

  @WasNotWas‌ thanks! He said well it said water and juice so I thought it would be ok to give it to her. Gotta love my dad, he's going to spoil her rotten. We did good. I missed her, was nervous, but with my sisters and step mom there, she did good. I told theme next time they come to town, they can take her so DH and I can grab dinner.

  Sorry I'm being a pw, but it's a sad day in my tech world. Pretty sure when J played with my kindle(gotta love when DH watches her)she may have broke it. I'm hoping our tech repair shop can fix it.

  Never pick up a corn kernel off a changing table and smell it to confirm it is in fact poop corn that went through your LO's digestive tract. Just trust that it is poop corn.

  Tonight's wine is Lost Angel, it's a California white and it's suuuuper sweet. I'm glad it's ice cold otherwise it is borderline undrinkable (for me, if you like sweet wines this is a great choice because it does have some body)

  DH is out with his friends tonight. I didn't want to battle B to sleep in his crib so he is sleeping on the couch next to me. I didn't realize he would do this so easily but he did for my MIL last night. Slept right throught the 1812 overture and fireworks.

  @violet1183‌ when our boxer snapped at ds1 in both instances ds1 was reaching towards him. Our pet behaviorist said that he probably viewed him as a threat and didn't like the way he was coming at him- especially since he was reaching for his head. She said to make sure that when the kids pet the dogs to have them not go for their heads. She also had us bring him in for a vet check because a dog that feels unwell can cause a dog to snap. All of our issues occurred right after ds2 came home and our vet said that changes in the house can stress a dog out. Thankfully we only had 2 incidences in a few day period and that was it. He just air snapped and never made contact with the skin. To this day I get nervous with the kids around him because an animal is unpredictable. The best dog can just snap one day. Just be carful around the dog

  @WasNotWas - how can I convince DH that we should take a weekend trip to Jacksonville in August?  I found a 5mi beach run that looks like fun (Tijuana Flats Summer Beach Run) - is there anything that might convince my mostly beach-hating beer-loving DH that a trip to Jacksonville wouldn't be horrible?

  Jax has a ton of local breweries downtown!! If you stay in St. Augustine there is a lot of history. But near where the race is is Adventure Landing which is like a water park and goofy golf/bumper car/arcade place which is awesome (and is right next to the BEST taco place). Come come come!!!

  @WasNotWas - one of my friends from high school is living less than a mile from the race start, so we'd (in theory) have a free, nearby place to stay ... I'll have to research the breweries and see if I can get DH on board.

  Absolutely I would run with you!! And if that's where your friend lives I have a ton of food recommendations that way. There is also a children's museum nearby that we haven't been to
