@skamber I feel the same way. DH has been amazing, both with DD on her own and with helping me out. I loved him before obviously, but seeing him with our daughter is just a whole new level. I love how he loves her.
@StrawberryDreams219 that's so exciting!? What part? My uncle lives in Brisbane so if its near there and you need a contact let me know and I'll hook you up
@ricecakes1216 I took DD1 to a winery around 4 weeks old. I'm planning on doing the same with this baby. I'm doing a winery 1k "run" in August
A winery run? This sounds awesome! We live in wine country so we will have Lots of trips to wineries.. I just want to make sure I'm not crazy for taking him.
My mom was planning on staying with us for two weeks to help us with LO but now she might change her flight and go home early because she is bored. LO is such a good baby and DH and I are working so well as a team that she doesn't have anything to do. It makes me feel really proud of DH and I and super happy that Murphy is such a chill baby.
I feel like it is to good to be true. My pregnancy wasn't great because of my constant hives (I was allergic to LO) but the hives went away within hours of delivery. Maybe LO is a good baby outside of the womb because it sucked so bad when he was inside. Knock on wood that things stay this great!
@Taymiller i hope thats true!! Thats awesome that you have such a chillaxed baby!!! Kellan is usually pretty chill but can get worked up sometimes, and Connor likes to "complain" lol but honestly as upset as i am about some things going on, my boys are pretty good babies.
@Taymiller yay another kellan!!! I love knowing people with that name, cuz it is pretty unique theres a little soda shoppe in my town that has been open and family owned since the 20s, and the current owner's grandson's name is Kellan
It really is tough with twins, a lot tougher than i had expected. But really the little happy things make it worth it. Even with the baby blues and all the stress with finances and BFing/pumping and everything, i still find myself staring at my babies and just smiling like a moron.
And I will admit that I post way too friggin many pictures of my babies on Facebook. Like 5+ pics a day! bahaha....

I put a ton of pics on FB & Instagram. I don't care, don't be my friend if you don't want to see them! Both of our families live 10+ hours away and most of our friends too...so I'm gonna post a ton of pics without shame!!

I post tons of pictures too. I actually wrote a warning status letting people know I'm "that mom" and they should consider hiding me if they don't want to see pictures. I can't help it, my son is too dang cute!
So LO had his cord stump accidentally torn off... I honestly have no clue how, I'm assuming it was a combo of him wiggling around and it getting caught on his clothes.. he's 2 weeks old now and you'd think it would have fallen off on its own but it definitely came off too early. I freaked out and called my mom who didn't answer, of course. Thank god my SIL is a nurse and was able to calm me down! I'm pretty sure I worry more with DS2 than I ever did about anything with DS1. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around?!

I don't think you're crazy at all! A few of the wineries near me are having a 1k walk where you wine taste in between. I'm so excited!
We're going home today!! Also, we're friends with winery owners so she'll probably be over at the winery within the next week or so. So no judgment here about babies in wineries!
DH and I decided we were done with visitors. Luka is a week old, and this is the first day we haven't had at least 4 people "dropping by". I'm flat-out not answering my phone or texts other than my parents and sister. It's all prohibiting me from getting rest and recovering, I'm tired of hearing everyone's good-intentioned advice, no one is offering any actual help (they just want to steal baby-time from us while DH has to clean up after them) and it is getting in the way of family bonding time. I'm completely over it and putting things on lock-down around here.
I don't know where to ask this... I had a c/s 3 weeks ago. The discharging dr (not my normal dr) said "pelvic rest" for 6 weeks. I know this means no vaginal intercourse but what about everything else?
I am amazed at all you ladies who are DTD to jump start labor and or are looking forward to getting back on it after delivery. I am a full blown panda at this point.
@nelleebelle - I'm sorry they are throwing this at you right now. Don't feel bad taking your friends up on their offer though, especially if you would return the favor!
@StrawberryDreams219 scary! My LO's default position is a potato bug position (all curled up) and he puts his chin in his chest. It scares the crap out of me.
Had C's two week appointment. He's growing so fast. His birth weight was 10lbs 4 oz, then he lost weight and was 9lbs 14oz. Today he is 10l s 14oz. He also grew an inch and a half! He's in the 96th percentile. Such a big guy!
Very useful...I saw a really horrific looking carry at BRU today (where I was getting that earth mama nipple butter). Couldn't express what was wrong at the time, but now realize it was the chin-on-chest thing...
Do y'all have any sort of routine down with your LO's? I feel like I should be doing more with him that I am. He's 3.5 weeks old. Mostly I feel bad bc I feel like I keep him in too many "things" throughout the day. Like his swing, RnP, pack & play, etc. He's content in them & I usually put him in one so I can get something done for 10 min and then he falls asleep so I leave him.
We got a package today with the video of the service for my MIL from the funeral home. DH is happy we got it but it is also a huge reminder that she isn't here with us for such a wonderful time in our lives. He noticed something that made us think she is with us, on her death certificate it is has a time of death listed as 10:04pm, Murphy was born at 10:04am. I don't think that was a coincidence.
Today is my due date and I want my baby out.... Had a membrane sweep yesterday and since have lost my plug and had some bloody show (yup TMI but IDGAF) currently bouncing on the ball and hoping it starts soon. Any words of encouragement? I never lost my plug etc until my water broke with DS.

Come on baby...
This is exactly me. I've been having contractions but still nothing consistent enough to feel like this is it.
Re: *6/19 Random Awesomeness Thread*
DH works at an upscale steakhouse. People bring infants there all the time. Not a winery, but its definitely a place people go to drink.
Married DH 7/30/11
CSC arrived 5/7/12
CHC arrived 6/2/14

I need to get out of the house today and I have zero motivation or energy. And I don't even know what to go do.
Come on baby...
I hope it happens soon for you!
