Guess what ladies... it's that time... it's baby time!!! (stole from litera because it's cutest baby ever duhhh)
So! Please post your own AW/SS thread on the board then, post the link of that thread in this birth announcements thread. Don't forget to share baby's name, birth date and any other details you would like to share. Pictures are absolutely welcomed! Let's please keep this thread neat and tidy. Please refrain from commenting anything other than your link and baby details. This is also not the thread for labor buddy announcements and updates. Thanks ladies and here's to safe, healthy and happy deliveries!
Remington Kay was born at 2:36 on 5/14 - 31 weeks 6 days, 17 days after my water broke. I really wanted to make it to 34 weeks, but my body had other plans! She came out crying though and Daddy got to cut the cord. She is in the NICU - breathing on her own with just pressure assistance from CPAP. 3 lbs 9oz 15.75in long.
Our little Regan Molly was born at 3:10am on May 16th at 32weeks 5days. I had a growth scan late afternoon the the 15th and all was good - but Thursday night my water broke and she decided it was time! Weighed in at 4lbs 15oz and 18.5inches at birth - came out crying but now is getting assistance from CPAP. Here's a pic from today of her sucking a paci
Samuel Joseph was born at 12:40am at exactly 33 weeks. My water broke at 31+1 wks and I was on hospital bedrest with a goal to make it to 34 weeks. The days leading up to delivery I was having non - progressing back contractions but baby was always looking good on the heart tones.
After having some strange discharge, they were doing and internal check and saw some toes trying to sneak out of my barely dilated cervix (he was also breeched). Sam was born that evening 4 lbs+ 4oz. He is breathing on his own but has to gain weight and learn to properly eat. He is so stinkin cute!! Please think of us in your prayers.
Alaina Grace was born yesterday morning at 3:49 am. She was 34w4d and weighed 4 lbs 8oz and measured 18.5 in.
I spent the last week in the hospital after I went into L&D with contractions every 8 minutes. My fetal fibronectin was positive and I went from being dilated a finger tip to 2 cm 80% effaced pretty quickly. They admitted me, got me on magnesium, and started the steroids. They were able to stop it for that weekend and then I spent the next week in the hospital on procardia and getting shots of terbutaline here and there when they kicked back up. Was discharged to strict bed rest and was now dilated to 3 cm 90%. Made it at home 3 days before my water broke at 1:30 am yesterday. Baby girl was breech and I was already at 5 cm so off to the OR for a csection.
She's doing great considering! Off her CPAP already and breathing well. Hopefully she learns to eat quickly too!
Brylynn Danielle has arrived. Preeclampsia got the best of us and she had to come a little bit early. I had been on bed rest until Tuesday and we went to our OB appointment. He proceeded to tell us that my blood pressure was too high and wanted to watch me over night and do a few tests. So we were admitted to the hospital and put on complete bed rest.
Wednesday my blood pressure went up again and once they got my 24 hour urine collection back, they decided it would be best for me if we had a csection to deliver the baby.
She came out hollering at 1154pm on 5/28/14 weighting 3 lbs 7 oz 17inches long. So far she is done amazing with her breathing, we know we have a while ahead of us in the NICu, but she is a fighter!
Baby Boy Smith has arrived! I went to my OB appt Tuesday morning at 34w1d and found out the preeclampsia had moved from mild to severe. After an exciting ambulance ride, the on call dr checked and my placenta previa was still in place. At 3:52pm, I had a c section and our little boy joined the family at 5lbs even and 18.25in long.
At just 3hrs shy of 2 days old, his CPAP is off and he is regulating his own body temp well. Now if we could just figure out this eating business we'd be all good!!
Eta- words are hard and sorry for upside down pics. I need a nap!
Madeleine Lily made her entrance on June 5th at 2:56pm, weighing 2 lbs, 10 ounces and is 15" long. Cannot believe she's here. Thank you goo for updating TB. I'll try to link the birth story when I can. Aaaaand in bora style, the photos are uploading sideways.
I'm more of just a lingerer (sp?) Since after first tri, but my little girl was born 6/9 at 6:28pm after a trip to the OB clinic to check if my water was leaking. Needless to say it was! She was born at 36+5, weighs 6lbs 7oz, and is 19.5in. She's feeding great and only had to spend an hour in the NICU.
Thanks for all your great advice and entertaining conversation. Wishing everyone safe deliveries and healthy babies!
I'm mostly active on PgAL and a lurker here. But Anabelle Rose was born at 36w,1d via c section due to preeclampsia, on 6/6/14 at 6:09am weighing 4 lbs, 6 oz and 17 3/4 in long. She didn't need any NICU time! Woohoo!!
I guess my little monster wanted his daddy to be here for his entrance to this world, he was leaving for rimpac in two days and we didn't have a guarantee that he would be able to be here on time. Xavi was born 6/10 (my grandmothers birthday). My water broke early at 36w4d. My husband delivered our son at 16:04 weighing only 6 lb 8 oz and measuring exactly 19 in. He is doing great, so great that we might get discharged today.
Baby boy was born this morning by c section (yes, on a Friday the 13th Super Moon!) at 8:42am, weighing 6 pounds and 6 ounces, 20 inches long.
I was 36 weeks on the dot and unfortunately baby has had a hard time breathing, so he is on a breathing tube now in the NICU, but doing ok--he's stable now Can't wait to get some mobility goin' on so I can go see him!
Hannah Grace was born on Friday the 13th at 9:03 pm at exactly 37 weeks. Another c-section due to iugr and being transverse. She weighed in at 4 pounds 13 oz and is doing well! In the nicu being monitored due to her peanut status.
Olivia Rose was born at 35 weeks on June 11 at 10:12 am weighing 6 lbs 11 oz and she was 18 inches long. She was quite a surprise, my water broke the day before and we were admitted immediately. 20.5 hours later our healthy girl came out screaming, we couldn't be happier.
37 weeks, 2 days Thought I kept peeing my pants (changing my underwear more than my toddler) - took 15 hours to man up and get checked in L&D Water indeed broke, start pitocin Epidural (I love modern medicine) 6 hours later and a few pushes later... 6 lbs, 6 oz 18 inches long Will stay 48 hours for monitoring because bag of waters broken over 18 hours Happy, healthy, tired.
Oliver August was born at 7:58 on 6/9/14. My water broke about 24 hours or more before that and didn't figure it out until Monday. He is 5 lbs 12 oz and was 34 weeks on the nose.
He's spent all his time in NICU but is doing better now, we are just struggling to learn to eat - but breathing is finally under control as of now and we are getting to hold him more!
Team Green turned Blue! Meet Israel David! He is precious. Was born at 11:06 am on 6/17/2014. Weighed 6lb 4oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. He is doing well. He spent time in recovery with me and NONE in NICU. Thank you for all the support.
Another team green turned blue:) Pablo joined us this morning at 946am. I did not get full on preeclampsia thus time, just PIH. Due to my history with DS#1 being a 30 weeker, Dr. Decided it would be best to deliver today at 36w5d. He's a trooper so far and eating very well.
Team green went pink this morning! Baby girl's name is TBD. After low fluids Friday and overnight for monitoring fluids looked to be up. Had my weekly check up yesterday and fluids were low again. RCS was scheduled for this morning and our bundle of perfect was born at 9:09am weighing 6lb 13oz and measuring 19 3/4in long. We couldn't be happier. I'll get a picture up when I'm off the iPad
Elijah James was born Wednesday morning at 36 weeks 1 day! We had a RCS scheduled for July 8th but he decided he was ready to come early. After a 5 hour labor we ended up with a very quick, surprise VBAC and we are both doing wonderfully! Eli weighed in at 5 lbs 12 oz and is 19 inches long!
Alexa Grace was born 6/17 at 8:31 am at 36w3d. She was 6lbs 11oz and 19 inches long. we are now home after the normal 48 hour hospital stay and we're all doing great!

Eliana Teresa (nickname Ellie) was born 6/20 at 5:31pm by emergency c section. I was supposed to check in 6/20 at 10pm to start Cytotec for induction 6/21. Of course, Miss Ellie had other plans and started my labor herself in the wee hours of the morning 6/20 (also her original due date was 7/11). She spent about 6 hours in the NICU after birth but is doing really well now. Already breastfeeding with skin to skin contact pretty quickly after birth. I was exactly 37 weeks. She weighs in at 5 pounds, 7 ounces and 19 inches long.
Katie Ann made a quick arrival on 6/21 at 8:58pm. She weighs 5lb7oz, and is 18" long. We were at the hospital for an hr and she was out in 2 pushes! She latched and nursed right away, and we are both doing great.
Team Green turned BLUE! Jonah Christopher was born on 6/21 @ 2:51am, 49 hours after spontaneous rupture of membranes. Jonah is 6lbs 3oz and 18 inches long and, sorry ladies, the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. Birth story to follow when I have time to do it right... 49 hours is a long time to keep track of!
Taylor Nicole was born yesterday, June 22nd (my sister's birthday) at 7:40 am weighing 7 lbs 11 ounces and measuring 19.75 in long. She was 38 weeks 6 days.
Edmund John made an early arrival today at 36 weeks, one day. He weighed in at 5lbs 2oz and managed to avoid the NICU. Will post a birth story later tonight.
Theodore Anderson was born on June 23rd at 9:37am weighing in at 6lb 7oz. He was 36+3 and had no NICU time. He has set a record, being born only 4 minutes after arriving to the hospital and almost arrived in the elevator!
Team green turned blue . Rhett Flynn was born Tuesday June 24th at 11:16am. He weighs 7lbs 1oz and is 19.5 inches long. He is perfect . My doctor went by my original due date so we were 39w and 2d.
