SO Fing pissed. I ordered a Mr. Coffee Single Cup brewer (mr coffee's version of the keurig that takes K-cups) and it doesn't fucking work! We have a Tassimo, which I do like, but they don't sell the T-discs anywhere but Bed Bath and Beyond and online anymore. It's too annoying to have to drive to BBB every time we run out and the subscribe and save we do doesn't last long enough. Plus, they're more expensive than K-cups and with K-cups I could get the re-usable one and, ya know, be more green. Ordered from amazon, so hopefully the turn around for getting a replacement will be quick...but JFC...it's too close to baby time to be messing with my coffee needs!

I got our newborn car seat out of storage yesterday, washed the cover, cleaned it all up and installed it to get DS more used to the idea of "baby sister". I then spent a solid 30mins in tears over how big my son has gotten and how they stop being babies so quickly. Seeing the two car seats in the back seat was apparently my wake up call that I'm actually having a baby in a few weeks.

I put our infant seat in the van last week partly to just get it out of the house. It's very weird/surreal to have two car seats back there!

I'm going to be the lady who has the baby on the road. Sent home with contractions 2-3 min apart for 4+ hours, since I'm not progressing. Next time I go in, it has to be like "holy shit" levels and I can't imagine contracting like this for 3 more weeks.

Just needed to get that out.

I need to AW about a few things:

1. I got awesome reservations to a beach cottage at the end of August and I am so excited! It will be a shorter trip and just perfect for 6 weeks post baby.

2. I just found out that some ladies from church are planning on having a baby shower for me after the baby is born. Since this is #2 it is completely unnecessary and unexpected but I am super excited all the same!

Sunday is shaping up to be pretty freakin' great!

Visited with friends of ours who have a seven week old, and she showed me a picture of the day her milk came in. It looked like her boobs were trying to get on top of her head. DH is a mixture of happy about this, and sad that he won't be able to touch them.

On an iPad so please excuse the formatting. I was invited to a prenatal yoga class with my next door neighbor who is 20 weeks pregnant. I've ranted about her and her inability to keep her kids out of the street and her lack of desire to potty train her 4yo. Anyway, I figure, why not - I could use some exercise, and maybe it will help my cramping. So I get in her car and put on my seatbelt (like a normal person) and she says, "oh wow, how can you stand having anything around your belly?!" And proceeds to NOT PUT A SEATBELT ON and just drives on her way, with her car's seatbelt sensor beeping away at her. Then, on the way home, the cherry on top it all is when she tells me that she's on a brand new anti-nausea drug that makes you loopy, and her doctor says she shouldn't operate vehicles. She drives her two (and a half) kids around like this. Never. Again.

DH wants to store the vacuum upstairs (where we have no carpet) so we can put the stroller in the hall closet... because there might be spiders in the garage. Call me crazy, but I think 1. It's normal to have spiders in a garage, and 2. It's also normal to put a stroller in the garage??

I'm ashamed to say I had a little cry the night dh got home from work because he didn't bring me any American candy or chocolate back from his work trip

I told him last night and he explained, saying he was transferred from the domestic flight to the international gate and never was able to actually shop in the int'l airport. YES he should have done it earlier (at the domestica airport perhaps!!), but he thought he'd have tons of time at the int'l airport and had a list of things he was going to buy me

I seriously have no idea, nor do I know why I keep trying with her. We obviously have very different philosophies on life.

I guess because she lives next door and my son enjoys playing with her kids, so I feel like i need to keep the peace...but you bet your ass I'm never getting into a car with her again.

Ok, for real, I am sick and tired of this emotional roller coaster! My doctor explained last week that the shots I have been taking on a weekly basis are essentially invoking PMS symptoms on a weekly timeframe. Great! So now I know why I hate the world and want to cry about every little thing all the freaking time. My poor husband… He really does try, but he can only handle so much before he gets frustrated and says something that sends me over the edge. Somebody needs to get this baby out of me before I seriously hurt someone! Full-on bitch mode 24/7. I can't take it anymore! Thank God my last shot is tomorrow. I really don't know how much more we can handle around here.

DH and I started watching Lost on Netflix shortly after Christmas. Lately we've been busy and didn't think we'd finish it by the time baby gets here, but we just realized that as long as we watch one episode a night this week, we will be all set for the series finale Saturday night. Which will be no problem cuz we usually watch 2+ episodes a night. Nonetheless, we will save the finale for Saturday night. With snacks and everything. Just in time for my Monday morning RCS. Talk about good timing!!

I'm 38 wks, 2 days and finally decided to pack a hospital bag. I still have to pack DD's bag but at least I've packed one. I have an appt Tuesday and I'm really hoping to be 4 cm or so so my OB can just go ahead and strip my membranes. I'm ready to get this show on the road.

I have three breakfasts. 1 bowl of cereal at 1 AM, another bowl at 6 or 7 AM, and some fruit and toast at 10:30 AM. It's always time for breakfast.

I was really into the Twilight series (which is funny cuz vampires/zombies/etc are typically NOT my genre). Anyway, according to them, when you're turning into a vampire, it feels like your veins are on fire.

Ok. So. When I had to get the group B strep injection with DS, it burned like crazy. So of course the first thing that came to mind was "this is how it must feel to turn into a vampire." I'm a loser. All the group b strep posts keep making me take this lovely trip down memory lane so I had to get it out somewhere.

Bumping from the OB waiting room. They have a super conservative Christian TV station on and they're talking about biblical reasons to circumcise and the pastor said to prevent cervical cancer. Another lady said "if you circumcise for that reason you're giving teens the go ahead to have multiple sex partners! " I want to smack that bitch.
