@SuperTinkerham thank you! I can do this for awhile if it means labor might be short. Plus I'm able to sleep still, and I'm not quite ready to give that up quite yet.
I never ever ever get headaches. Ever. Unless Im crying for an hour and my sinuses hurt. I know I'm ridiculously lucky about that. But today and yesterday I have had this very mild... not so much pain as just pressure, in my forehead area. (Look at me, ooveranalyzing specifics of head pain) Because headache is one of the things they are always asking me when I go to my OB, Im scared after my appointment they will send me to the hospital today. Damn blood pressure. Next time I want to have a baby Im going to make sure Im at least 20 lbs less than I was at the start of this one, to try and prevent this again.
I'm completely bored. I want this baby to show. I just made a huge list of cleaning I want to do around the house until the baby comes, and I'm going to try to tackle one thing at time when I have the energy. Hopefully he shows up near the end of the list and everything will be nice and clean.
Started watching "orange is the new black" this morning. I was hooked within 10 seconds of watching. Boobies! Boobies everywhere! Lol and "crazy eyes" though.....I can't with her )
We went to baby wearing class on Saturday. I decided I wanted a ring sling. They measured me and I'm too big for their pre-made slings (well they had an ugly one I didn't like). So they are custom manufacturing me one in the color of my choice. I thought it was really neat to get to support a local business and I get exactly the right sling for me. It should be ready right around my due date.
I've been cheating on you guys with December 14 - they're chock full of psycho posters. It's been quite entertaining and terrifying.

What happened during this pregnancy that has caused me to become inept at eating with a fork and spoon? How is it possible to have spills and drips on every piece of clothing I own? I just don't understand it.
Then I look down and see said stain at the top of my bump, take off my shirt to apply OxyClean and the stain has suddenly moved to the bottom of my shirt. How is that possible? Are my shirts this long? Is my bump so big that the top of my bump is almost the bottom of my shirt? Whyyyyyyy?

I feel stupid for even asking this, but everyone keeps asking me if I've "dropped" yet with this baby. I didn't with DS and I haven't yet with this baby. Does that even matter when it comes to going into labor. I guess not, since I went into labor with DS w/o dropping, but does it really make a difference?
LO is getting the hiccups a lot lately. But is super reassuring because I feel them at the bottom of my belly so at least I know she's not breech or transverse and is descending! Yay, getting closer. Come on LO, I'm over being pregnant!!
@LiteraChick I totally feel the same way. It's like okay I know you're getting lots of practice doing what you're supposed to. But sqqueeeee it makes me anxious for her to get here noooowwwwww hahahah .. The more "outside baby" stuff she does the more I want her to be outside if that makes sense.
I saw a Newborn advice post from @zarkarella back in March and it compelled me to make up a changing basket for the living room. She said even with a gorgeous nursery, at times we'll be too lazy to want to get up and go in there to use the changing table. Totally makes sense.
Really, it was an excuse to buy a cute wicker basket and make up a kyoot bundle of diapers, wipes, cream and disposable changing pads.
Also made one for my SUV for emergency backup diapers and an extra outfit for me and LittleDude in case he has explosive poo at any given moment. I can't wait :-D
Thanks Zark!
I still need to do this. Last time we used the changing station with the pack and play but it became a catch-all for a ton of shit so I'm not sure if we're going that route again.

@JamieSejkora I'm in the same place. Strangers have even commented on my hopping belly at the store and doctor's office. I'm expecting full on Alien any day now.
SS/AW post: I had my 36 week check up and had my group B strep test and my first internal. I'm kind of excited I'm already 3cm! I know this means nothing because I can potentially walk around for weeks at that point but since it's my 4th I'm hoping it means he might be a July 4th baby!

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.
@mrscurlygurl - DS was a preemie for multiple reasons, but I had issues with preterm labor. From what I understand, this is a fairly new experimental treatment to prevent preterm labor. It is essentially a progesterone shot that thickens the cervix and minimizes the number/intensity of contractions. I was already thinning out and progressing at 15 weeks gestation this time and was put on a modified bedrest. After a few weeks of shots, my cervix had thickened enough that they felt comfortable taking me off of bedrest. I am currently sitting at 1cm and slightly thinned out, whereas last time I was getting ready to deliver right about now (after 3 weeks of strict bedrest).
Even though I hate the way the shots make me feel, they really have been a lifesaver.
I'm really over my job right now. I still have so much left to tie up before this baby comes in roughly 5 weeks, but i don't care at all.
I really think I am just going to burn the "just in case" vacation I was going to save for after LO gets here before I even go out, just so I can relax a little and get some stuff done (like sorting donating a good percentage of DS's toys to make room for some baby stuff downstairs)...I'm not even 35 weeks, and i can feel some nesting coming on.
I had a rough day with DD throwing the most epic tantrums today and just being a booger in general. She's usually pretty good. So when DH came home, I let him take over with DD so I could veg and take a shower. Also, to cheer me up, I listened to the song DH and I danced to for our first dance. Cue the water works. I'm a hot mess today.
My damn dog figured out how to open the diaper pail THREE TIMES THIS WEEK after never touching it for 2.5 years. Toddler poop everywhere. I'm hoping he's acting out because he "knows" these contractions might lead to something quickly.
I'm doing a word search and the theme of the puzzle was "spring cleaning" I get to polish and I think to myself "what do polish people have to do with spring cleaning"? I say this to DH and he kindly points out that the word is polish, as in to polish silverware. I gave myself a pat on the head for that one, and just hope that pregnancy brain ends when LO is born!
I've been singing "chocolate and vaniiiilla swuuuur-uuuurl swuuuur-uuuurl" to DW all day. It's our new theme song. Cuz she's mah chocolate, and I'm her vanilla. And our kids are the sprinkles.
Have I mentioned its my first official day of maternity leave? Spent the morning doing yard work, took a fantastic nap, ate some delicious lunch, and went shopping for my next two days of freezer meal preparation! Tomorrow is my 38 week appt, and then I'm going floating in the river with my sister in law and hubby. I'm so damn glad my OB insisted I leave work early!
So, it's almost 6 am and I'm awake freaking out. I have an appointment today to check my dilation and hopefully get my membranes stripped. I will also schedule my induction date. I'm not freaking out bc I know the baby's coming soon. I'm freaking out bc I'm afraid that he'll be between 10-11 lbs when he does come (DD was 9 lbs, 14 oz). I'm also freaking out bc I don't want to have a 4th degree tear again. It would not be good for me. I know my OB will take good care of me and will do what's best for both of us but I'm still freaking out. I need a gallon of ice cream to make me feel better at this point.
DH asked me if it was okay to fly across the country in a few weeks, just for a few days to get some stuff from his mom's house. I looked at him with huge sad eyes and almost cried. I was like... "I'd be alone if I went into labor! " He says "I'd get the next flight! " I was like "And leave me to time my own contractions, drive myself to the hospital and be in the worst pain before the epi? Um, no."
And no, we will not have a changing station in the living room. I can't even imagine the mess that would entail. We still do every diaper change with DD 2.5 years later on her changing pad, and we will with this one too. I wonder if it's a CD thing.
I will, however, be re-stocking a bin with nursing "supplies" like granola bars and magazines and the TV remote. Now THAT was a life saver last time.
I can't stop eating Ghirardelli squares. Cannot. Stop.
I have officially given up on shoes. I'm even wearing flip - flops to the office...Not fancy ones either...Just plain black ones that I've been wearing for three summers, so they are worn out and faded...whoops...
Gotta love when you're sitting in a regular Dr's office in a room full of old people, and they keep staring at you like you don't belong there or you're about to give birth...
And when your wedding ring doesn't fit anymore (or you're a single mom *GASP*)... so they're judging you for that, too.
So most newborns make a ton of of crazy faces but, I swear, lil Max has been making faces like he's already formed an opinion on most things lol. I have to find an app that lets you put voice/thought bubbles in pictures!
This really bites-- almost 38 weeks pregnant, yesterday was my first day off work, Friday is my bday, and I officially have a stomach flu. It sucks being sick but I worry more about how this might affect LO.... It's bad enough I have hyperemesis too. Light at the end of the tunnel she'll be here soon I just hope not before I'm over this crap!
