My little one struggles with me so much when I try to latch her on. Her arms are flying every where and I try to tuck them between her and my other breast or between them, but nothing seems to help. She gets more frustrated and so do I. But if I dont my already really sore nipples get scretched and pinched every two seconds or she sticks her hand in her mouth. It takes sometimes 20 mins... I need some encouragement, this is so hard!
have you tried the football hold? it helps me because he is kinda tucked under my arm and it's easier to hold his one arm and the other i tuck under my breast.
When his arms are flapping (note: I cradle hold), I tuck one arm under my armpit and grab the other with my opposite hand. If he needs help getting the latch, I can still hold his "top" arm with my opposite hand and use a few fingers to squeeze my breast til he gets a good latch.
I usually swaddle him (always a night) and I should just swaddle him every feeding b/c it makes it so much easier. Otherwise he is flailing around , acting crazy and grabbing my b00bs and sticking his hands in his mouth.
