@ntdane sorry the twins rant sleeping well. The boys just turned 4 months yesterday and I think we are in the sleep regression camp too. They hadn't been sttn yet but had just started going until 2:30-3:30. Now they are up at 12,3 and 5:30 or 6...ugggh.
@SomersIsles so glad you are on the mend, I had been wondering about you.
@bunnyfungo hugs, hopefully things get better soon!
@kacie that us crazy but it happened to a college age girl in GA a few years ago. She was zip lining and got cut then got flesh eating bacteria. I think both of her arms were amputated and it was touch and go for a while but she did pull through. t and P for your boss.
@FarmBoysWife I also worry about raising the boys to respect women. I'm also worrying about how to raise them to not be a Mommas boy but also not leave me out when they are married and have kids. I promise I won't ask to skype during a birth but I would like decent access to my grand kids. So not looking forward to being a MIL!
We are going on a mini vaca to the mountains for the weekend, yippee!!'n
Well Kayleigh is 13 weeks (3 months) and I've noticed she has been getting up more again in the motn. I thought I read @amdecker1016 said around 14 weeks.
These twin moms say 4 months. So thats what 16 weeks?. Of course it can always start earlier!
There seems to be a lot of murders recently (with mention of graduations or proms or school in general). Why does the end of the school year bring out the crazy?
@Kacie - I hope your boss pulls through. @Kewii - nice support in Kuwait. @bunnyfungo - I hope everything is okay. @SomersIsles - I hope you're fixed up soon. @all the moms with non-sleeping babies - I hope their resistance is short. @all the moms getting great sleep - yay!! I hope it keeps up. @all the moms of 2u2, or even 2u3...or 3u3...I hope your toddler(s) aren't driving you as nuts as mine is...
@bennieangel You're not the only one! I'm not ready to move the babies into their room yet (still need to get mattresses - I've been dragging my feet)! Planning to keep them in our room until STTN is happening.
@bennieangel - We have yet to move Evie out. We said 3 months...well it is 3 months and I am totally not ready. She even STTN. I still occasionally check her breathing especially since she has been sleeping so much! Do it when you are ready!
4 month appointment for the twins today. Unfortunately my suspicions of my milk supply dropping were pretty much confirmed by the fact that both of them only gained 4 oz in 11 days. There have been other signs too so it all makes sense. Now I really have to get Keira taking bottles better so we can supplement. I'm just glad their doctor is still supporting me nursing them. Time to up the fenu and oatmeal and get pumping. Overall though they're doing well. Now to cuddle some babies through the afternoon. Shots are rough!
I also haven't moved Robert to his crib.. He's still in his bassinet next to my bed. He's sleeping 7 hrs but that usually involves one or two middle of the night pacifier pop-ins. I'm curious what would happen if I didn't pop it back in...
I think when he outgrows his bassinet (very soon) we'll do the pack n play next to my bed before the crib in his room.
I just dread the idea of getting out of bed just for a paci... Sheer laziness lol
@bennieangel James is STTN but we aren't moving him until 6 months so we can still feed easily at night. He barely wakes to eat and be changed right now and prefer that over him crying to wake me up.
@ntdane Where do you live at? some ladies here donate milk to banks.

@amdecker1016 it's not too uncommon especially if he's the first born. ETA: Although this kind if delay is not uncommon, your friends may consider early intervention programs to help him catch up. Hopefully they have a good pedi!!
Not the first born! His older brother is 19. Then a 5 yo then him.
He's adorable though!
Let me add, his mother is russian. So he is being raised in a bilingual house
T & Ps would be appreciated... Little B has had diarrhea for 6 days. After ruling out the obvious, he had labs done. Our pediatrician called me and informed me that not all the labs are back but what she does know is that his white blood cell count is high and it's a bacterial infection. She said she has seen families recently with salmonella. We aren't sure yet if his is caused by salmonella. I wish I could do more to help him and feel like a bad parent even though we have no clue how he got it. To make matters worse, K has had diarrhea now today too. 1 sick baby is bad enough but I think we're well on our way to having 2 I'm a sad mommy!!
Here's my random moment of the day. J has started the oral stage and is constantly putting things into his mouth. MH is holding him while I'm doing laundry and he tells me to come look. J has his hand in MH's mouth and is checking out his teeth.

Is it weird that my distance relatives son who is 18 months hasn't doesn't speak? Just babbles/baby grunts
If it was just grunting, I'd definitely be worried.
Babbling - can change to words overnight. If babbling truly is *just* sounds; babababa, dadadada, mamamama, then there may be reason to be concerned. DS1 has been saying 'dis' and 'dat' for ages, but some people may consider that *babbling* because its not like 'door' or 'chair' or 'cat'.
Funny story: I have a friend whose DD only babbled when people were around (really just sounds). They were a little concerned. But a friend visiting said she had heard talking when she went to the washroom. The DD was in her bedroom talking to her toys, but as soon as the parents came in (and were noticed) their DD started to babble. She is now 4 years old and has no issues. I'm sure they will never know why she only spoke in private, but she was talking...
Even if its just babbling, if the LO is using inflection, I would be too concerned...that's still a step in the right direction.
Oh, also, I find some people always talk baby talk....like MIL pronounces words wrong thinking she's being cute, but really, she is encouraging improper speech. (This irritates me). I think that may contribute to delays.
We're celebrating Father's Day today! Dh and LO are wearing matching shirts. The ones that say "I Make Adorable Babies" and "Adorable Baby". They are super cute.
I'm behind by a few days since work was crazy and I wasn't able to bump. If I missed anything important someone let me know. Otherwise I am going from here forward.
