I have a weird anxiety about talking to strangers on the phone. I put it off for days or weeks. Funny thing is, I am on the phone all the time for work, which is fine. But, for example, we just got a new credit card and I have to call two places to update our automatic payments and I have already put it off for 3 weeks. My checklist mocks me every time I look at it...
That's another one! I am a checklist fool. I love making lists of things I need to do with little checkboxes next to them and checking them off gives me a crazy good level of satisfaction.
I dislike my neighbors and have noticed several things on their property that are in violation of local ordinances. They recently added an illegal structure right on the property line. It's the last straw. I called the city.
They are entitled self absorbed millennialis who have a complete disregard for the neighbors and who believe that the rules don't apply to them or perhaps they are simply too ignorant to know better.
Either way, I don't feel badly about making the call.
ETA: I guess this is more of a vent but it's a confession to potentially causing my neighbors a world of hurt with the city. We tried talking to them first but basically got shrugged shoulders and "aww, who cares" in response.
I reported my douche neighbors to my HOA years ago. They did not like that and yelled loud things about me from their deck while I was moving out. I don't care. They still live in that shittastic neighborhood and I am doing just fine.
I spent just over $80 last night at Target so I can be as covered/uncovered as I want while swimming this summer. DH doesn't know I actually got 2 suits yet. Tee hee.

My confession is that I hate the term millennials. I work with first year college students and have for 12 years. I don't believe people can be lumped into categories depending on when they were born.
And I hate the term even when it's spelled correctly.
I think this is more like an UO than a FFFC but I'm bad at differentiating. Someone should flame me for that. Oh wait... I'm having déjà vu.
CALM DOWN, kraken (I hope you know I'm joking!!!)
I don't like the term either. I'm considered one and have worked hard for everything I have.
I know you can't control street parking but this asshole neighbor who has 4 cars and rents (so he can't use the driveway) leaves his car outside my house PERMANENTLY. It's been about 5 or 6 weeks now that I've noticed.we moved in October so I didn't pay much mind til recently but now that I think about it, it's always been in front of my house the majority of the time. How the fuck do you have 4 cars and rent. Get your priorities straight douche. He moved it once for a few hours and came back. Today is the day. I'm slashing his tires. Oh and one of his other cars is parked in the other spot outside my house 90% of the time I just didn't know that car also belonged to his household. I can't take it anymore!!!! I don't even want to hear it's a public street blah blah blah it's there all.the.fucking.time.always.

You did not get two suits, you got one suit with many options so you can wear it all season
When I picked up DS last night she asked if I could find someone else to watch him today so she could go to her camper a day early...I don't have a great support system and I hate asking people to watch him on such short notice. I didn't bother asking the 1 person who may have been able to keep him and I told her I couldn't find anyone. If she'd been sick I would have taken time off or made arrangements somehow but just to make her weekend longer after she already said she's taking every friday off in July/August, nope I'm not bothering someone else. I was just thankful for her yesterday too!!
Kicker is now I feel bad so I'm going to try and leave work early so she can leave early. Jokes on me!
A few weeks ago my recycle bins went missing after collection day, and have not shown back up. In retaliation, I have passive-aggressively changed my wifi name to "who stole our recycle bins?" ...because I'm THAT mature...
I don't understand people who don't like puppies/dogs. I get so mad when I'm walking Layla and people don't pet her!
@smboswell1 I HATE it when DD and I are out for a walk and people will literally cross a fueld with their dogs to come over to us. "oh but she just wanted to meet your daughter. she's friendly" that nice. f off. one time I said no thank you and this guy wouldn't leave us alone. I finally had to get nasty and leave the park.
FFFC I really dislike dogs it grosses me out when I see them drooling or ina car.people with dogs usuaaly smell.
I can't bring myself to want to try aden and anais blankets. I know everyone says they are the awesome-sauce, but the name looks too much like aden and anals to me and I just can't get on board. I would think of the word anal every time I used one.

You could never be my friend IRL. My scent would probably knock you over from mile away.
I don't understand people who don't like puppies/dogs. I get so mad when I'm walking Layla and people don't pet her!
I don't ever pet other people's dogs without at least asking... its a respect and safety thing for me, personally. We teach children to ask first, why doesn't that rule apply to adults.
Yes, this!
I actually had someone PICK UP my dog without asking! I was at a petstore looking at a something and I felt the leash move, I turn around an an adult has picked up my dog without even speaking to me! Luckily she's even-tempered and loves attention, but how would you know that as a stranger?
Also, don't get all huffy if I say "no" if you ask about petting my dog. One of my dogs has socialization issues, it took me a lot of work to get him to where he is now, but there's still a chance he'll snap at you if you are a stranger and attempt to pet him in what he interprets as an uncontrolled environment. I'm not just being a bitch if I say don't pet him!

Not sure what the laws are where you're at but you might check the non-emergency line to see how long a car can be parked and left. If he leaves it longer then it should try and get it towed. I had to do that with a lawn guy that kept parking his truck and trailer at my old apartment compelx. I wouldn't have minded so much except for the fact he didn't live there.
This. Many cities have ordinances where vehicles can't be parked for more than 24 hours, or overnight on the roadway, etc.
We have a single lane driveway and my step-son will keep his car in the street because he usually comes home after us at night, and leaves after us in the morning (Hubby and I leave about the same time). I make him change up the house he parks in front of within four houses across the street so he's not monopolizing one spot in particular to be courteous.

I understand being cautious, especially with a little in tow; however, I don't get the irrational hatred for a dog? Also, if a person smells, they probably need a shower. It doesn't have anything do with if they have a pet or not.
Here's my confession: I chuckle to myself when parents-to-be say things like "my kid will never go out in public with a dirty shirt", "my kid won't have a snotty nose", "my kid won't get french fries at a restaurant", etc.

Haha I would never bother someone with my puppy! What brought it up is that the other day my Bestfriend and I were walking our dogs and Layla walks up to this man and he gives her this look and slowly moves backwards! I thought it was strange. But someone did mention to me how Layla looks like this dog all over the news. Apparently a pit attacked a boy and a cat attacked the pit? But Layla isn't even a full pit bull and not all pits are mean. It depends on how the owner raises the dog. Sorry, rant over. I'm just a dog lover:) this is Layla!

OMG my ex brother inlaw said that all the time when my sister was pregnant with my niece it drove me crazy. He also made smuge statements about how disaplined she would be. She's seven now and can be a major brat in public because he gives her almost anything she wants.
Side note, little ones and french fries are so cute. My olded nephew Riley used to dip them in ketchup, suck all the ketchup off, and dip again. We had to change the fry every now and then because it would get really gross.
Years ago, I watched my friends' kid sit in a nice restaurant and take his fries and sucked all of the potato out of them, then let the skin part fall to the floor. It was mush madness around him.And yes, I thought he was so adorable but I did say to myself, my kid will never do that. Haha
Edit: Oh to add on to the fry comment, I don't eat the ends/ tips of my fries and I throw them back in the bag. Several people have accidentally eaten my massacred leftovers.
I used to say that I would never be the parent that left that mess under a table a restaurant. That has changed to I will never be the parent that leaves that mess without leaving a very nice tip as well.
So my FFFC, I noticed there wasn't a fitness Friday thread yet. I have never participated in one, but I wanted to start it today just so I could post this and then run away laughing.
OOOOOH my gosh. I laughed so hard, I need to find this and send it to EVERYONE Baahahahahahaaha!!

Perhaps his priorities are different than your's and he rents so he can afford his cars? I feel like this is kind of judgey against renters. DH and I rent because we moved to the area not knowing a thing and wanted to have a few years to figure out where we wanted to settle. We're both successful, make a good living, and *gasp* drive nice cars. Who gives a fuck if we rent?
It is annoying that your neighbor parks in front of your house though.
It drives me crazy when people on the bump use very long quotes before their post. Delete some of that text! I'm getting carpal tunnel from scrolling on my iPhone pages just to see one new sentence!

This is really hard to do on my iPhone. That's why I just start calling people instead. It cuts down on the tree!
People who hate animals annoy me. I try not to judge... Buuuuuut. I toally get the fear of certain animals, especially if there was a bite involved. But not liking any animals??? Dogs are the shit and cats are where it's at. Sloths are pretty darn cool too. I don't know if this is FFFC or not, but I just had to share.
On the dog topic, I hate when people notice my animal sniffing them and say "ohh, you smell my dogs?" it's silly. No, my cat sniffs everybody. I mean maybe he does but he doesn't care.
It's a weird thing to say, up there with "it's not the heat, it's the HUMIDITY that gets you"
I just hate those kind of commonplace nonstatements.

Where do you live? I find that people who think that's a stupid thing to say have never lived somewhere with 80-90% humidity ;-)

Have you never been in dry heat? It is waaaaaaaay better than humidity. I'd take it anyday. I support that statement.

I've never been in dry heat but I live on Long Island and let me tell you...humidity is a bitch. I believe I'd be able to handle the heat without the humidity, for sure.
First, let me just state that I love dogs. I also shower regularly and do not smell.
My FFFC is that I hate it when people wait for parking spots. Unless there are literally no other spots in the lot, deal with walking a little further. I understand that a small percentage of people who wait may have a legitimate reason for not being able to walk far, but most do not and it drives me crazy! Especially those that will sit and wait while you load your stuff in the car and put your cart away. Get off my ass!
But how do you know if there are any issues?? It's not like you ask them after? So basically everyone waiting is irritating.
I got a lady at the grocery store in trouble and I don't feel, bad at all. DD and I went grocery shopping this morning and we got to the Deli counter and get our number. The deli lady had 2 friends walk up behind me and she looks at me and walks over to them and starts taking their order. The woman ordering goes "oh did I cut you off?" I'm like it's fine. So the woman with her goes and gets a number and deli lady "goes no I'm helping you first." The manager was right there watching and comes over and takes my order and gives me a discount. Gave deli lady an evil look and pulled her aside to yell at her.
Totally not your fault. It's not like you turned her in--the manager just happened to be there (but I would've considered saying something to a manager anyway if I was in the right mood)
@runningmama14 I grew up in south Florida but have been in Philly for five years now. What I hate about those kind of statements is that they literally contribute nothing.
It's like in office space where the lady always says, "looks like someone's got a case of the Mondays!!"
Just a dumb meaningless thing to say. Know what I mean?

Today, I peed a little when I sneezed.
