  I don't even agree with the man having to be "head of the household" and not equal with his partner.

  In a good BDSM relationship (in or out of the bedroom) the submissive has the majority of the power. They can stop any activity at any time. No is always an option.   So, I can't say anything about this in regards to church stuff. But I belong to a community of...erm..."adult" rp writers online and this type of lifestyle comes up quite a bit. In the BDSM community this is a "thing". There are always those that do it "wrong" but in a healthy relationship both partners are emotionally and sexually satisfied by it. In fact, in a true BDSM relationship the sub is the one who holds all the power. S/he is the one who dictates the boundaries. Is it a lifestyle I would chose? Hell no! Do I really understand it?
