After living together for almost four years before getting married we decided to pull the goalie as soon as we got married. We said we wod give it six months to just see what happened then we would start charting if it hadn't happened yet. DS was conceived three months after we got married.
This time around I never even got a post IUD period. 40 days after I had it remved I took a teat fully expecting it to be negative figuring it might take a few months for my period to return. I thinj my exact worda to DH yelled feom the bathroom where "holy fuck its positive"
DS is 21 months. I had my IUD put in 6wka post partum so I have not had a period since October 2011.
Well we only had sex once that month. I took a couple Benedryl that night. The next morning I got the cold shoulder because I fell asleep in the middle of it.
We weren't actually trying at all, we had a very active sex life and we kinda had an oopsy daisy! I was hard core tracking my ovulation, but i was off quite a lot apparently O.o we had been pregnant 2 months prior but lost it on xmas and that one wasn't planned either but i wasn't tracking at all. I actually think i know exactly which day we got pregnant. It was towards what i thought was right in my safe zone at the end of my time, but it was still questionable, we gave each other the look of "are you willing to take this chance?" Since we ran out of condoms... BAM pregnant. After years of being convinced that i can't get pregnant with out medical help like with my first.
In all seriousness though. We tried for four years with no luck. My first pregnancy, I started charting last July and my next cycle never came. This time around, my cycle was weird. After my d&e, and my cycle finally started again, it was 3 days long the first month, and two the next. I was aware of when I should ovulate, but was honestly certain it wasn't going to be right since my period was super short. Apparently I was wrong, and here I are
After reading so many post about multiple tries and procedures and such I feel so blessed to have such an easy experience. You ladies are so strong and I admire you.
We were not trying but if it happened it happened. It only took 2 cycles
Ha. My DH wasn't even in the room when I got pregnant! (Note: Things I never thought I would say.)
You pretty much described my IVF experience to a T (except the 30 eggs - that's amazing!).
We tried for almost 3 years before I got my sticky BFP. In between that were multiple failed IUI's, miscarriage, weekly acupuncture (for two years), multiple doctors and nothing but "unexplained infertility."
Then I found the most amazing RE. She did a hysteroscopy/lap and it turns out I had Stage IV endo. We did IVF a couple months later and they only retrieved 4 eggs. I was devastated that we got so few. But then all four fertilized! And then made it to day 5! So we transferred two and froze two. One implanted and DS was born in Jan '13.
I stopped BF at a year and my cycle came back. I made an appt with my RE the next day. We decided to thaw the two frozen embryos and hopefully at least one would survive the thaw. Well, they both survived. So we decided to transfer both. Shock of shockers -- this time both implanted.
ETA: ugh! paragraph fail and I can't seem to fix it.
Went off BC in October, and ran poor DH through the gamut. Temping, feetilityfriend, OPK's, Pre-seed... But what I swear did it was royal jelly. I went to Peru in January and came home with a parasite... So I ended up taking all sorts of home remedies to help clean my system out. Come to find out royal jelly like doubles your fertility, and regulates the tummy!
Ours was fairly easy I think... We decided that we'd start trying in the new year. I've always had fairly regular periods so I worked out my ovulating days online. We got pregnant the third month we were trying & we're now just over 14 weeks along. I'm 27 and DH is 34. We've been married for two years and it's the first pregnancy for us both .
We were married in August and I went off of BC in October because it was making me sick. We decide we wanted to have children and if I got pregnant, I got pregnant! I had a BFP in January on the anniversary of our engagement. That pregnancy unfortunately resulted in a MC. DH cooked dinner for me about two weeks later and set up candles in our room to make me feel better about the MC. We never thought I would be able to get pregnant again so quickly but that night resulted in a BFP in March. I was so worried at first that this had happened so soon but baby girl seems perfectly healthy. She's our rainbow baby.
Stopped taking my bc months ago really wasn't trying just pure accident the first day after the last day of my cycle. Lol I knew feb. 2nd my life changed forever. This is my first pregnancy a little nervous I'm 18 weeks today due 11/3/14 if she doesn't come early lol
I've tracked my cycle for the past 2 years using an app on my phone so knowing when I was ovulating wasn't too hard, plus my husband claims he can smell me ovulating (weird). When we decided to TTC I got pregnant the first time around. I did not expect it to be so fast, but we were so happy.
I love reading these. So many great stories.
With DS we charted, temped and used opks and it took 6 cycles. This time I monitored my cm and we had a lot of sex, 3 cycles. I much preferred this way, lol.
We were only married for 7 months and I had been off the pill b/c it was screwing with my hormones and cycle. Suffice it to say, I misunderstood my cycle and we had unprotected sex at the exact perfect time to get pregnant. So a month later... BFP much to our surprise. We're happy, just weren't expecting to start our family so quickly.
Re: How did you get pregnant?
With DS, I charted, used OPKs, Preseed, and took FertilCM.
