@ljs4117 no, we don't have hoa. I don't have to pay him and there's nothing he can do about it. We could go to provincial court over it but that seems stupid and a waste. When I calm down we might talk about it and I MIGHT pay half (big maybe there though) but I need that gap fixed first before any money leaves my pocket.

Well I would just be pissed that I had a fully fenced yard and without notice losing that. I definitely wouldn't entertain the idea of fixing something I didn't cause. Why don't they go to your neighbors that actually changed the fence??
While waiting for the light to change I saw a young woman trying to take a selfie of herself in the passenger seat of a car. She had her arm with the phone way out of the window and was doing duck face while the driver was parallel parking. Since the car was in motion and she wasn't paying attention, she smacked her hand quite hard into a sign post and dropped the phone and it split into several pieces. She gets out of the car and says "damn though - I look so cute today!" WTF.
LOL!!

Me: "Oh, you mean having contractions?"

I'm so excited for you to post when your new little one arrives.. I see newborns and want one but then I see a pregnant lady in her last few weeks and I'm good. I hope your doing okay and as I know it's much tougher when chasing a little one around at home. Any names picked out yet? Your dd1has a great name
@mermomo5 - I'm excited to be able to post that too We picked out Evelyn. Didn't know it was a relatively popular name. Eh well!
I had to tell LO no last night. He bit me for the first time it made me sad. I never tell him no, but my finger was stuck in his mouth and I panicked because it hurt and I couldn't get him to let go. Mean baby, he laughed.

Haaaahahahaha!!! That would have made my day.. No, my life. That's hilarious.

This is maybe one of the best things I've ever read. I might have peed my pants if I'd witnessed it in person.

Do you think if I just dump cinnamon on the ant hills in my yard that'll do it? I'm not really sure where they're getting in so maybe I'll just make a cinnamon moat around my house.

So I got home from a playgroup this morning and DH asked how I woukd feel about moving to Cincinnati. He is thinking about applying to a job there, but he can telecommute. We lived there for two years and the houses are way cheaper and you get tons more space. We would already have friend there. They have a Ds community there too. The 'rents on the otherhand would be pissed. But it may it may not happen. I am kindof hoping it will.
These ants in my house need to GTFO. I read that spraying them with soapy water helps to kill them and hide their trail so that's what I've been doing, but I accidentally grabbed the Pledge multi-surface spray and doused one this morning. Possibly a little bit of overkill there.
@cfreymc - This is a not so natural way to get rid of the ants but it works. I used Terro - I had an ant invasion in my kitchen last week, I put it out and they were all gone in the morning. They bring it back to their nest and feed it to the rest of their posse.
One month today until I go back to work. I'm happy/sad. A coworker called me last week because she is leaving her current position for a higher one and she put my name forward as her replacement (she's higher up than me). I am extremely flattered and excited, my phone interview is today (no big deal, only 15 minutes of "why do you want this position? ") and my bigger interview maybe next week..... im so nervous.
@Asbromle I said no to my LO for the first time this weekend too
I try to say "red light" if he's going into. Dangerous situation. Or "only food goes in your mouth" if he's putting something else in his mouth, etc. I like associating that I'm saying no with why I'm saying no. It doesn't always work though
@asbromle seriously. He was all pissy about being away 3 days last week and 5 days this week. I was sitting here going, Ya baby!! in my mind but to him saying, "I know it sucks, we'll miss you too."

That's how I am. I like your red light idea. I'm stealing it thanks!
Do you all remember last summer when I got mad at my SO for drinking all my extra butterscotchy milkshake? I remember complaining about it on here and I was just reminiscing about all the ice cream I ate last summer. Aw, the memories

I stole it from my sister. My nephew is 4.5 and my niece is 3 and it works pretty well. Plus, we all kind of parent each others' kids so it is helpful to have consistent language.
I am helping pack up some offices for a move next week. At least, in theory that's what I'm doing. What I was actually doing today was more like a hoarder intervention.... @-)
No more puking so far today, and Luke is eating well. We are backing off a bit on solids - we had basically let him eat as much as he wanted last week, and I think that (especially oatmeal every day) plus long winding hilly driving plus vaccines plus who knows what else just caught up to him. When he's doing so incredibly well it's easy to quickly overestimate his gut; I guess this weekend was a reminder for us. We gave him about 60% of the Pedialyte he was supposed to get last night, and we're going to bump that up to about 75% tonight and see how it goes and then check in with GI tomorrow. I'm thinking if he can stay hydrated at this rate, maybe we won't have to increase any more. And even with vomiting and decreased solids he basically maintained weight through the weekend, although I'm sure the IV fluids Saturday night helped immensely with that.
I am a bad bumpie today and haven't been able to read much from anybody else so here are a few extra >:D< >:D< >:D< and <:-P <:-P <:-P for anyone who needs them

We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
Well we can get pre approved for house but the house I wanted sold today. Excited we can get our first home but sad the one I wanted is gone.
@jennipalmer - I'm sorry.. that is such a bummer. We had that happen a few times to us while house hunting. We eventually found the right one and it was a HUD repossession (a very nice HUD repossession) so a great deal as well. When one house goes off the market, tons more come on the market. I bet you'll find the perfect house for your needs soon. Good luck!
I HATE APARTMENT HUNTING. I am determined to move to a bigger place! Jae already dominates our tiny 1 bed/1 bath & I'm done with it. Problem is we are probably going to have to pay 2 different rents for a month or two at the same time to accomplish the move. It's fudiculous. Hate this man.

We tried cinnamon sticks and grond cinnamon and it seems to be working! They were so bad in G's room

This is exactly me at the moment. My H is currently on a 15 day trip for work and I feel like I should be missing him a lot more. But in reality, it's a little relaxing since I don't have to do all the everyday things I would if he were here. Almost all of LO's care is on me, so his absence doesn't add anything extra to my plate.

Ooh cinnamon sticks are a good idea, seems less messy then leaving piles of cinnamon all over my house
